As far as food and beverage quality goes, Starbucks is remarkably consistent store to store. So, if you like the Starbucks taste you will like it here. If you don't then you won't like it here either. As far as location and interior décor this Starbucks is as good as any other. The parking lot is a little awkward, but for the most part this Starbucks delivers pretty much exactly what you expect. The service here, however, is exceptional - even when compared to other Starbucks. My server (Shae, I believe) wasn't merely pleasant, but genuinely seemed happy to see me. She took obvious pride in her mission to serve others and add just a little bit of extra comfort and happiness in the world. In today's self-entitled world, precious few understand the true dignity that serving others affords. I walked into this Starbucks with high expectations of their quality of product. Those expectations were exceeded by their quality of heart.

Before long we drank our drinks before they got cold but had not received two of our food items. The drive thru continued to be priority and we had to prod staff so they remembered our food. Due to the location, this particular Starbucks has more natural light than most I've been to in Edmonton. So I usually tend to enjoy sitting by the big windows. I also appreciate that there's decent amount of parking and handicap spots. As it is a bigger layout than most, there's two separate doors into the space. So if you're sitting at the larger table, you might notice more of a draft (especially in our chilly Alberta winters!) Lots of snacks and bites to eat plus drinks just like other locations. However, I find this one tends to give sample drinks where I rarely experience that anywhere else in Edmonton. Today was pink lemonade and strawberry frap made with coconut milk. Lemonade was lovely and not too tart. Definitely one to order if you were looking for a drink to replenish the electrolytes. We skipped the second sample as we loved our drinks so much already and didn't want to be disappointed without having any banana in it. Today I was with my aunt and we tried strawberry frap (gotta keep the valentine theme!) and believe me, say yes to having the banana added. Omg tastiness... the thickness... sweet but not over powering and the banana made it similar consistency to a milkshake, so choosing venti was the perfect size for that drink. I selected mine with full milk and my aunt wanted coconut milk. We were both very happy with our choices and definitely will order that again. We also split bacon egg bites (two per order). They're decent but I have to say I still prefer the sandwich over the egg bites. As I needed a bit more to eat, I grabbed an oatmeal raisin cookie. I was very pleased the cookie was chewy and soft (I've had cookies at other locations and cannot say the same thing). As always, a decent experience at Starbucks. I just wished that some of their chairs had a bit more padding to them and should have remembered to bring my chair pillow with me.

While there are plenty of other Starbucks kiosks on campus, this is "a legit" Starbucks and comes with a fair amount of space - both inside, outside, and in the lobby of the College Plaza building. The staff are much friendlier than those working the cafe within Sobey's next door, but the lines can get long and overall the service seems to be somewhat mediocre. Like I said though, with the warm weather, I've found myself here twice in the past week. Not my preferred location, but it does help my day to be a little bit sweeter :)

All I ordered was 2 bacon breakfast sandwiches and a coffee with 3 cream. 1st trip last week, coffee comes to me black. I can forgive this because the coffee is still edible when it's black. Today I go there and put in the exact same order - 2 bacon breakfast sandwiches and a coffee with 3 cream. I get my sandwiches home and it turns out one of them is a sausage sandwich. I hate breakfast sausage sandwiches, because they smell so nasty it's like anus wrapped in vomit, diarrhea, and period blood. I spend 20 mins on the phone with the Starbucks and they can't find my receipt. Fortunately, they put an approximation of my order on one of the breakfast sandwich wrappers so I still had that. They asked me if I could come back, I said not right now but later I could. I went to the gym to work out and then on my way home came back through the Starbucks. I gave them the wrapper and this time they stepped up and paid for their mistake, gave me a free bacon egg and gouda breakfast sandwich - they were all out of the bacon egg and cheese ones by that time. Still though, very frustrating to go there twice and have the order screwed up both times. There's a new Starbucks just down on the road in between Gateway Blvd and Calgary Trail and 51 Ave. I'll be going there from now on, give a new location a shot. If I had put in an order for 20 customized coffees than I could forgive them for screwing up something in the order. Even a 1 time screwup I could forgive. Consecutive screwups on a simple order, though? I cannot overlook that.
