Disgusted by how my husband and I were treated at Starbucks today. We came in to charge our phones and cool down from the brutal heat: not causing any disturbance, just quietly sitting in an empty café. A Black woman working there (I didn't catch her name) came up with a rude, cold tone and told us we had to leave if we weren't buying anything. I explained we've been to plenty of Starbucks where charging devices or using the space was never an issue. She just said, "Rules change," with a smirk. We're unhoused and traveling. We're not looking for pity: just basic human decency. Instead, we get treated like we're disposable. People are acting like soulless robots, enforcing policies without compassion. I hope whatever Starbucks is paying you is worth becoming a corporate Karen. This is why people are boycotting Starbucks. And after today, so are we. Hope she loses her job and needs the kindness of a stranger and gets denied :) read more

Walked in and looked confused as I didn't see the cups and the manager Jay was the cutest thing ever and so helpful. She explained discounts you get when you use them that the 100 other employees we have ever bought cups from never told us. I have frequented MANY Starbucks across the metro area and all over the state. This is by far one of the worst ones I have been to. Number one reason for being the worst, it is NEVER OPEN! I have been here at 5 in the afternoon and they were closed. I kid you not! I guess the 'great resignation' is a thing. If a store cannot get employees to work it, then that store should close down permanently and not be there. They closed the Glendale Starbucks next to Barnes & Noble when Barnes and Noble closed. Perhaps something more useful like housing? I don't want to make my review political. I will say there are a TON of Starbucks stores as it is! Both stand alone ones and ones inside stores like King Soopers, Target, Safeway, etc.. They are like your McDonald's now. It use to be that there were only a few. More isn't always better folks, sometimes it is just more. Back to the review, not only are they never open but they are out of items frequently. There hasn't been a visit where I was told they had the item I was requesting. It has gotten so bad they put signs on the drive thru menu to say out of stock. I know it happens at other locations. However, it is bad when the store is never open and it never has items. Might as well be closed. It does have a very convenient location off Leetsdale to the north side. Drive thru is around the building where you then exit onto Leetsdale as well. This parking area was engineered well! Best thing about the store which is why it received 2 stars. I wouldn't recommend unless you are going early in the morning or by lunchtime! read more

This was the first Starbucks ever to get my keto London Fog iced Latte correct. I was amazed. Others either leave things out or give it to me hot. I was also pleasantly surprised when I didn't get a face and the...well it takes 6-8 mins to make an iced one because we have to make the tea first. Yes, I am well aware of that... thanks. It was made correctly, no speech and served with a smile. I was impressed but disappointed I don't get past here often enough to visit again. read more

I ordered an espresso drink. It's plague season, so of course I wore a mask and was unfazed that they had closed off seating for dine-in consumption. Still, they had chairs at the tables, so I sat in one of the chairs while I waited one minute for the baristas to brew my espresso. I'd been sitting for 20 seconds when one of the employees behind the counter told me seating was closed. I looked at her incredulously for five seconds, then sat up. She, or another employee, thanked me for standing. I walked out. I can't begin to fathom what possible good the employees thought they were doing by having me wait for my drink standing up as opposed to seated six inches lower in one of their tall barstools. I do like my coffee. So much so, that I cannot function in the morning without my coffee. I commute to work, so this location is convenient to swing in and get right back on the road within minutes. Friday's I typically pick up Santiago's breakfast burritos two doors down for myself or for my sales team at the office. So, two birds with one stone, right? I have the Starbucks app, I order before I show up on my phone. I walk in, pick up my coffee without saying more than four words, "Mobile order for Andrew?" Walk out. I know that I pay just a bit more for the convenience when compared to a true local coffee shop. That is why I stop here. When I am not in a rush I prefer to go to Pablo's or actually will stay here and take a seat in their comfortable leather chairs. read more

At my regular location I would've waited forever, but I was amazed that the crew working the window kept the line moving. This has got to be the most poorly run Starbucks I've ever been to. I've come twice in one day and they're still struggling. 1 of 2 bathrooms was flooded with poop water and a running sink, the second bathroom had neither soap, paper towels or a hand dryer. The pastries were all burnt. Both visits I specifically specifically asked for my drinks hot and both visits they made all three drinks cold (even though again, it was specifically stated for all, individually ordered, to be hot). The baristas were all only 1/2 present and I only saw one person probably doing the work for everybody. I've come several times to the drive through where we've literally sat 14 minutes for a croissant bc people kept forgetting to help the window person. This store is dirty and chaotic and a little rude, to be honest. Sometimes there are off days, hours or whatever, but this place is consistently bad. read more

Terribly slow, wrong beverage delivered. This is unfortunately one of the worst Starbucks i have visited. I love Starbucks, but I wont be visiting this one again. There were at least 6 workers fluttering around and it took over 10 minutes to get our drinks and my drink was wrong. They had to remake my drink which added more time to our wait. My friend had only ordered an unsweeted green tea and it took longer than my latte to get completed. I love having the location down the street from me. Not just because it's a drive thru, which often it's faster to park and go inside....true statement but it's the staff. Every time I go there, whether inside or drive thru, the staff is friendly, remembers me and my dog, and are engaging. The decor inside is welcoming and cozy. The "normal" coffee shop decor of table and chairs are there but going around the corner from the Barista stop is a cozy place to read a book, newspaper or catch up with some friends. read more

Full disclosure, any Bux with a drive-thru that gives me a solid coffee beverage is entitled to at least 4-stars. I have been to this one on occasion over the last couple years. I have had consistently good beverages, and fine service here. The line moves fairly fast considering how busy it can be. The location is on the north side of Leetsdale. From a "coffee place with a drive-thru" perspective, this is the correct placement. Since the bulk of business is the morning rush, you want most customers to be making a a right turn into your establishment. This makes sense. The problem is that this (like so many other places) can be a victim of its own popularity. There are 15 regular, and 2 handicap parking spaces (thank you Google Earth). The drive through hugs the building, and the parking spaces are around the periphery (like the petals on a flower). There is one way in, and one way out, and this parking lot does not connect to any others. So, piece of advice, if the line of cars is reaching to the street (and it frequently is) you are better off not pulling in. If you do, and do not manage to get a parking spot, you are now disrupting the flow of the line, as well as cars trying to get back onto Leetsdale. I made the mistake the other day of trying to make a left hand turn from Leetsdale (and this was in the afternoon). The drive-thru was almost empty when I started my turn, but was 4 cars deeper by the time I eventually pulled into line. Anyway, this is way more "traffic flow" info than is probably needed, but that is really the Achilles heel of this particular location. read more

This particular location is super popular for its drive-thru. But I must say, the interior of the store is pretty awesome, if you're looking to relax at the store proper. Each time I've driven by this Starbucks, I've wondered what it would look like inside because it appears so tiny. But lo, it has quite a neat space: two levels (which makes this place seem large), plenty of comfy chairs to kick back and read, and plenty of tables for study groups.
