Surprised by some of the reviews on here for this location. We stop here every time we are driving into or through New Mexico from Arizona. It is a great break from driving on the highway, is clean, and they have abundant seating - often decorated in cute ways. The staff is always friendly, and orders are made quickly and correctly in our experiences. In the past they did not take mobile orders, so you'd have to search your phone at the counter to try and get your order out to them correctly, but now they do accept mobile orders. So convenient and simple for the customer, IMHO. Just this past weekend we drove over to Deming for the Great American Duck Races and stopped here twice - each way on our trip. Both times we had great stops. Definitely highly recommend. read more

Two girls working on May 13th at 7:30pm were very rude and upset after I politely told them my drink was supposed to be iced not hot. I ordered a simple Venti dark roast with 2 shots of espresso (so it would be strong), and a Venti decaf Americano with 2 shots of decaf espresso. I was asked if I wanted cream and I said I'd put my own in, but they didn't have any out, so I said, "Yes, as long as it's not much cream, very light on the cream." SO, got down the road and we tasted our coffees. What we had was basically 2 big cups of cream with a little brown water in them. DISGUSTING. There's no way there was espresso in either coffee, just lots of extra cream, which also made the coffees lukewarm. HOW HARD IS IT? There's no excuse, it's not rocket science. read more

I have stopped here several times in the last few years for my espresso fix... who doesn't love finding a random Starbucks in rural America! Ordered two drinks... triple grande Carmel macchiato extra Carmel and a triple tall chestnut praline latte. The young lady at the register was very pleasant and was precise with the sharpie on the cup... the one star is for her. The barista guy is a whole other story and now holds first place in my mind as worst barista ever encountered. The drinks were made with luke warm milk...pretty sure he did not even put espresso in them. The taste on the Carmel macchiato was strange at best... the hubs had stabbing stomach pains roughly one hour later so who knows what was going on behind the espresso machine. When he was sprinkling the topping on the chestnut latte he wiped his face with his hand then grabbed a lid to top on the drink. At this point, I just wanted what I had dreamed of being hot holiday espresso drinks to cap off our ride to Las Cruces. I said nothing about the hand to the face to the cup and figured any germs would boost my immune system. As we hit the highway with our $13 drinks and took a few sips... we realized the drinks were garbage. I will likely stop here again... but will be that annoying customer that is eagle eyeing the activities behind the counter and taste testing my drink before leaving the building. I shared my experience with corporate Starbucks and they made it right by dumping $10 on my sbux Card within 24 hours. read more

Charged me twice for one cup of coffee because the staff is so poorly trained they can't properly worked equipment and accuse the customer who paid twice as not having paid. 15 minutes later they can only figure out how to retrieve one of the transactions and say it's OK the lady we're down here. Yep we're done they're famous keep driving don't buy from them and complain to Starbucks. I waited in line for about twenty minutes with only a couple people in front of me, meanwhile, the baristas were having a conversation amongst themselves, laughing, and showing no sense of urgency whatsoever. Barista did not greet us when we walked into the counter. I ordered the chocolate cold brew and an iced white chocolate mocha. When I got my drinks I saw that the white mocha had no whipped cream, I asked why it didn't have any and the young man said "people usually ask for no whipped cream so I didn't put any" and he just stood there, staring. Excited to find a Starbucks after leaving Tucson heading east early this AM. This store seems new, staff friendly. Reason for only three stars. Tried a sample of the bold, a blend I was not familiar with & it tasted more like a blonde, so ordered the standby, Pike. It too is weaker than what I'm used to. But, in my world, a weak Starbucks is better than a cup from all the drive thru restaurants. Expect to pay a little more than stores in California. I suspect that next time thru, a more experienced staff will lead to a better brew. read more

If you have 20 minutes to wait with no line while the employees either sit outside smoking or do anything but acknowledge you feel free to stop. WORST Starbucks I have ever been to! Granted it is a Starbucks in a truck stop in the middle of no where they messed up all of our drinks. My moms Carmel ribbon crunch Frappuccino had chocolate milk in it and no Carmel. My sisters strawberry and cream Frappuccino was completely melted. My drink was decent but did not taste the way it's supposed to. Now to talk about the 30 minute wait that I had. There wasn't that many people there and they were taking their time as if there was a line out of the door. They were doing orders all out of order and there was no organization. Also, when one of the girls was making one of our drinks she went on her phone instead of paying attention to the drink. On to the gas station, the bathrooms were disgusting and only one stall was open. I'm never going to stop here again. read more

Nice big Starbucks with lots of seating inside the Petro truck stop off I-10. Our drinks were good and made in a reasonable amount of time. Took a star off because the staff was less than stellar and the wifi costs $2 an hour. You'd think after spending $100 gassing up a motor home and $20 buying coffee drinks they could offer free wifi. A nice break on the drive nonetheless when you're dying for a coffee fix. read more

The good news is I am very happy to see a Starbucks in that location on I-10 - very helpful on the long drive between El Paso and Phoenix. Service was very good during my visit. On the negative side: prices are very high as compared to the already very high Starbucks prices I normally pay. My Cappuccino tasted like regular coffee beans used as Espresso beans - in other words, it did not have that Starbucks signature Cappuccino taste that I love so much. This is easily fixed by management, and I hope they will do so. read more
