Starbucks - Horchata Oak Shaken Espresso - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Deming, New Mexico

Surprised by some of the reviews on here for this location. We stop here every time we are driving into or through New Mexico from Arizona. It is a great break from driving on the highway, is clean, and they have abundant seating - often decorated in cute ways. The staff is always friendly, and orders are made quickly and correctly in our experiences. In the past they did not take mobile orders, so you'd have to search your phone at the counter to try and get your order out to them correctly, but now they do accept mobile orders. So convenient and simple for the customer, IMHO. Just this past weekend we drove over to Deming for the Great American Duck Races and stopped here twice - each way on our trip. Both times we had great stops. Definitely highly recommend. read more

Starbucks - Lobby - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Deming, New Mexico

They were very fast and efficient and our drinks taste great! It was also very clean!

Two girls working on May 13th at 7:30pm were very rude and upset after I politely told them my drink was supposed to be iced not hot. They quickly made me a bad latte as a "fix" after leaving I realized the milk was sour and taste awful in the matcha. I highly suggest you don't get your drinks from this location. read more

Don't sleep on Starbucks locations just because they are located inside gas stations. This was a better experience than full stores lately. The place was clean, staff was attentive, and my drink was made correctly. Can't better than that! read more

Best service I've ever gotten at a Starbucks! Sheri is the Mother Teresa of coffee! She's soooo good at her job! And there isn't another Starbucks for hours, so do NOT miss this stop. I will never drive by this Starbucks without stopping again. Seriously, I am so happy with my Starbucks experience, I feel like Sheri deserves a Nobel Prize for above and beyond barista. Coffee tastes good too! read more

Starbucks - I chugged mine but got a picture of Jake's unsweet before he chugged his! 10/10 - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Deming, New Mexico

Came back and service was much better and the coffee was as much better as well! Also they always have cute seasonal decorations inside, for fall they have scarecrows having coffee by the window. read more

I ordered a simple Venti dark roast with 2 shots of espresso (so it would be strong), and a Venti decaf Americano with 2 shots of decaf espresso. I was asked if I wanted cream and I said I'd put my own in, but they didn't have any out, so I said, "Yes, as long as it's not much cream, very light on the cream." SO, got down the road and we tasted our coffees. What we had was basically 2 big cups of cream with a little brown water in them. DISGUSTING. There's no way there was espresso in either coffee, just lots of extra cream, which also made the coffees lukewarm. HOW HARD IS IT? There's no excuse, it's not rocket science. read more

We stop at this petro regularly for gasoline. Pop into this Starbucks for a great refuel of caffeine and had on to the next destination. I can't mobile order. But the baristas have always been friendly, so coming in is fine. I love all of the Christmas decor. It makes me happy and feel festive. This is a good stop. Recommend!! read more

I saw the reviews on this place but thought I'd give it a try anyway. Surprise!! What I experienced was a clean, new, well run Starbucks just outside Deming, NM. It's in a truck stop but don't let that bother you! Same delicious coffee, same delicious treats! IF your traveling down I-10 by Deming, it's a recommended stop from me! read more

Decent Starbucks I see a lot of reviews saying this Starbucks is terrible but it was just a normal Starbucks. However my sister ordered 2 reindeer cake pops but they only had one so the manager gave her a birthday and chocolate cake pop to make up for the lost one. Did not take long even though we ordered 5 drinks and a lot of food. read more

I have stopped here several times in the last few years for my espresso fix... who doesn't love finding a random Starbucks in rural America! Ordered two drinks... triple grande Carmel macchiato extra Carmel and a triple tall chestnut praline latte. The young lady at the register was very pleasant and was precise with the sharpie on the cup... the one star is for her. The barista guy is a whole other story and now holds first place in my mind as worst barista ever encountered. The drinks were made with luke warm milk...pretty sure he did not even put espresso in them. The taste on the Carmel macchiato was strange at best... the hubs had stabbing stomach pains roughly one hour later so who knows what was going on behind the espresso machine. When he was sprinkling the topping on the chestnut latte he wiped his face with his hand then grabbed a lid to top on the drink. At this point, I just wanted what I had dreamed of being hot holiday espresso drinks to cap off our ride to Las Cruces. I said nothing about the hand to the face to the cup and figured any germs would boost my immune system. As we hit the highway with our $13 drinks and took a few sips... we realized the drinks were garbage. I will likely stop here again... but will be that annoying customer that is eagle eyeing the activities behind the counter and taste testing my drink before leaving the building. I shared my experience with corporate Starbucks and they made it right by dumping $10 on my sbux Card within 24 hours. read more

What an embarrassment for Starbucks. Charged me twice for one cup of coffee because the staff is so poorly trained they can't properly worked equipment and accuse the customer who paid twice as not having paid. 15 minutes later they can only figure out how to retrieve one of the transactions and say it's OK the lady we're down here. Yep we're done they're famous keep driving don't buy from them and complain to Starbucks. Unless you like being charged 2-3 times and given crap because the clerk doesn't know her job, keep driving. read more

Drove to Starbucks Deming this am. Over 30 miles for the holiday cups. Arrived early 6:55. First told manager had cups and they would be in between 8 and 9 am. Then was told they wouldn't be in til noon and they didn't actually have the holiday cups. They were supposed to come in on a truck at some time. Very disappointing. I won't go back. read more

(This is the Starbucks right off of I-10, on the west side of Deming, New Mexico. It's inside the Petro Truck Stop chain.) ************************ Actual dialogue: Me: "Are you the only Starbies without a scanner for my app?" SB Cashier: "You want Arby's for bananas and a nap? This is a Starbucks." Me: "You're right. My bad." I'm calling this one the Twilight Zone Starbucks. It is a genuine Starbucks - big & bright & feels like any other stand-alone Starbucks - it's just its own interesting entity, within this highway truck stop chain. Maybe my first clue should have been seeing all the truckers staying in the Petro part of the store, because I was the only one in the Starbucks side. Hmmm. I can do without wifi, but the Pike here seemed a little off, which made me wonder about the display food, which led me back to the Petro part for Little Debbie's Ho-Ho's. That's what the truckers were going for. When in doubt, go with the pros. read more

Great service they are extremely friendly and quick with your order and my pink drink was made amazing, looks and taste great.

Not a good location. I waited in line for about twenty minutes with only a couple people in front of me, meanwhile, the baristas were having a conversation amongst themselves, laughing, and showing no sense of urgency whatsoever. While the manager seemed like a nice guy, the staff can do better. read more

Barista did not greet us when we walked into the counter. I ordered the chocolate cold brew and an iced white chocolate mocha. When I got my drinks I saw that the white mocha had no whipped cream, I asked why it didn't have any and the young man said "people usually ask for no whipped cream so I didn't put any" and he just stood there, staring. I never said I didn't want any! Lol they lack customer service and whoever trained them obviously didn't do a good job. This store is definitely not up to Starbucks standards. read more

Sooo yeah, stopped here for some good sugar with coffee in it and ended up leaving empty handed. why? Well I wanted a caramel frappuchino but they were out of frap mix, ok no prob, I'll have a soy caramel latte instead. I was told oh we ran out of soy milk this morning, but I have heavy cream, half n half, skim, 2%, and whole milk. You really should have been there to see me stare blankly at her. Although I *do* enjoy my yuppy moments like first class tickets and sugared up coffee, there *is* an actual reason why I order soy milk. Excited to find a Starbucks after leaving Tucson heading east early this AM. This store seems new, staff friendly. Reason for only three stars. Tried a sample of the bold, a blend I was not familiar with & it tasted more like a blonde, so ordered the standby, Pike. It too is weaker than what I'm used to. But, in my world, a weak Starbucks is better than a cup from all the drive thru restaurants. Expect to pay a little more than stores in California. I suspect that next time thru, a more experienced staff will lead to a better brew. read more

Barista made multiple orders before mine that came in after me. Got one drink wrong multiple times. And while waiting for order to finally be corrected the barista called me a bitch. From someone who is at a Starbucks daily this location has the worst service I've ever experienced. If you have 20 minutes to wait with no line while the employees either sit outside smoking or do anything but acknowledge you feel free to stop. Im so mad I can't do less stars! The employees including jesus that where working At 6:56pm 08/21/2019 need to get fired immediately! Been stopping at this Starbucks for a few months as im a trucker and their is no other store near by so you have no choice and all the times service has been 2/3 stars but today was the worst . -20% more expensive then all other starbucks locations -you will wait in line for 10 min even when nobody else is in line -Now they charge for water as well -but what killed me today after a very long day of work and waiting to get to this location to finally drink something, after asking for the most basic drink ever (caramel machiato) I grabbed it once they called it and immediately left and started driving again 10 min on the road and I finally take my first sip to find out its a plane coffee with no sugar! Called and jesus answers just to say he will talk to hes tim to improve things! read more

Making the drive from Las Cruces to Phoenix, this is the last Starbucks for hundreds of miles. I needed coffee for my drive and stopped. I ordered a cold brew, they were out, an iced coffee then? Don't honor hours of operation, closed at 7:03 PM. Most unprofessional unit I've encountered.

WORST Starbucks I have ever been to! Granted it is a Starbucks in a truck stop in the middle of no where they messed up all of our drinks. My moms Carmel ribbon crunch Frappuccino had chocolate milk in it and no Carmel. My sisters strawberry and cream Frappuccino was completely melted. My drink was decent but did not taste the way it's supposed to. Now to talk about the 30 minute wait that I had. There wasn't that many people there and they were taking their time as if there was a line out of the door. They were doing orders all out of order and there was no organization. Also, when one of the girls was making one of our drinks she went on her phone instead of paying attention to the drink. On to the gas station, the bathrooms were disgusting and only one stall was open. I'm never going to stop here again. read more

Clean and good location. The 2 ladies behind the counter were nice. Lots of sitting area.

The good news is I am very happy to see a Starbucks in that location on I-10 - very helpful on the long drive between El Paso and Phoenix. Service was very good during my visit. On the negative side: prices are very high as compared to the already very high Starbucks prices I normally pay. My Cappuccino tasted like regular coffee beans used as Espresso beans - in other words, it did not have that Starbucks signature Cappuccino taste that I love so much. This is easily fixed by management, and I hope they will do so. read more
