My experience at this Starbucks has not improved here since my last visit about 18 months ago. My wife and I popped in to give it another try and were reminded why we stopped coming to this store. We always order by app. We arrived at the store 15 minutes after we ordered and had to wait another 20 before we got our drinks. Other people werew standing around waiting, too, and there were no drinks on the mobile pick-up counter. I thought they lost our order and when I asked about it, the young woman seemed annoyed. "We're busy and we make orders in the order we receive them. There are people in the drive-thru that are the priority." I was so steamed by that response I was stunned. When I finally got my drink, typical for this place, they forgot an ingredient. I politely asked to have it corrected. I got more attitude. This used to be the go-to Starbucks for me and my wife for a long time, but we stopped coming to the Portage Trail Starbucks more than a year ago because we got tired of our mobile orders constantly needing attention. The store became so inconsistent in getting our orders right that about half the time something wasn't made correctly or something was forgotten. When you're on your way to work in the morning, nobody has time to wait-that's why people like us like to order ahead. It's uncomfortable to complain, but if you're paying $7.00 for a cup of coffee you're hoping to enjoy, then it really needs to be made right. My wife and I will continue to go to the Graham & Hudson store. read more

I was here last night on 2/2/2026 and ordered a chai latte with two pumps of vanilla. The employee who took my order (black hair with arm tattoo) was rubbing and touching behind his ear, which is very unsanitary. He did not wash his hands before making my drink. That made me extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully, I had not paid yet, so I drove off. I will not be returning to this location. Very disappointing experience. cleanliness is everything. read more

The Starbucks on Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls is a great stop. Even though it's on a busy corner, the drive-through is well laid out and easy to navigate. I really appreciate the thoughtful landscaping--it adds a nice touch while you wait in line. There's also plenty of free parking in the huge lot, which makes things even more convenient. The service has always been fantastic here, and my mocha Frappuccino was delicious. Friendly staff, good flow, and a relaxing vibe make this one of my favourite local Starbucks locations. read more

Starbucks tea drinkers do not want natural flavors and other garbage in their tea. Just sell good old-fashioned straight real tea. Chamomile mint does not need to have artificial flavors in it. It doesn't even taste like chamomile or mint. I was going to get the plain mint, but they were out of it. read more

This is my usual Starbucks location! The staff is generally always friendly, and my drinks are almost always right! The only downside is that it gets very busy, so I don't always get a table inside if I want to work or read. For me, this is more of a go-to Starbucks. read more

This Starbucks is a standout coffee shop in that it continues to provide great service and perfectly crafted drinks. The employees at this location are all so kind and joyful toward all their customers. Today their app scanner was down, and they just gave me my drink for free. Every time that I come here, I am always blown away by their smiles and excitement. Even though this Starbucks tends to be very busy, I have never experienced anything but professionalism. This is also just a great spot to study or sit outside. read more

Your service and parking both rock my socks, I have put it all to the test. You keep it clean and are always so kind, the staff you hire is great! Love this location! It's right on the corner of Portage crossing next to Aladdin's. It's always poppin' here but the baristas are usually pretty good at getting orders out super fast. Drinks are correct 80% of the time, which is a plus if you frequently visited the Howe location before switching to Portage. Service is always fantastic and personable. EDITED TO UPDATE** Kind of sad how awful this location has become. Rude & condescending Baristas who tell you you're not allowed to order water at the window and it must be ordered from the intercom. Brand New location! Nicely done , but could use a little more room for hanging out and having a coffee with friends, but In the summer it will be even better as there is a nice size outdoor patio. There is also a drive-thru for your convenience. So far the staff there has been awesome and are very friendly. The only downside is limited parking right next to the Starbucks itself. There's plenty within the vicinity but you'll have to walk a little further if you don't luck out and get a close spot. I guess it's good for you though if you can handle it . read more

Pros: All of the baristas who work here are incredibly friendly, the drinks taste just as good as they do at every other Starbucks in the world, & the space is very clean/new/Starbucksy. But the cons (which are not the fault of the kind people who work there) are really keeping me from giving this particular location any additional stars. HERE GOES. For a brand new Starbucks, you'd think they could've done a better job of designing it. Alas, this ENORMOUS SPACE, which looks to be two stories high, is in fact just one story with very high ceilings, & it seats only about 15 people. One story, a smattering of tables, four comfy chairs, a massive, poorly designed bar/line space, & giant windows that keep it from feeling even the slightest bit cozy. Want a view of beautiful State Road while you sip your tea? You got it! And if you're looking to spend a little bit of time in this Starbucks, say chatting with friends or getting some work done on your laptop, don't do it in the winter. The massive double doors are right in the middle of the seating area, blasting everyone inside with cold air every time someone enters or exists. Finally, my standard Akron-area Starbucks gripe: WHY NO FOOD? I don't understand why the Akron area's Starbucks stores don't have sandwiches & snack boxes like in other cities. I'd become accustomed to having lunch at Starbucks, staying for a few hours with a latte, a protein box, a sandwich... but like every other Starbucks in the Akron area, this one has only boxed, microwaved pastries. Not even a tray of bananas. I actually like this Starbucks, really, because the staff is so friendly, the location is so convenient, & the space is bright. In warm weather, this Starbucks is a great little spot, when you can find a seat. But I am still so frustrated by some of the lack of thought in the planning process that I feel inclined to rant. read more

Baristas aren't consistent. The first time I ordered the new Flat White it was Perfect..... I've had it 3 times since and its a milky mess. The shots aren't being properly done and it's disappointing. I even called and spoke to a manager who was very sweet & told me to come back in to get it remade. Went back and still the same. Very milky and not strong like the first time. I understand they are training but when I worked at the Graham rd location the ppl training me there were very picky and precise about the quality. So I don't know if here at this location the trainers aren't on top of things?? It's a shame too because once you don't work for them the discount doesn't apply--- and thus, the drinks are costly and add up. For a $5 coffee I expect a bit more precision. read more

Straight up disappointed. Went to get some matcha water and got over charged and they didn't even make it right. Every other place I've been to for a match water made it with at least three scoops of matcha just for a tall and only costed no more than $2 at max. I ended up getting a grande with a SINGLE scoop of matcha at the price of $3.25 (the label said ice tea) It tasted like straight up water. read more

A very nice place that is centrally located in Cuyahoga Falls. It is like most other Starbucks I've been too, so there is nothing too extremely special, but the service was friendly and fairly fast. Their bathrooms were very clean and didn't smell, which is always a plus! I like sitting outside on beautiful days and they have plenty of seating for it. Yes, I would come here again. read more

Had an event Saturday evening and errands wanted get a coffee or tea. It was only 10pm and every place was closed so looked up the newest Starbucks and open til midnight. This was nice to find out as cinemark theatre is across from them. I had a green tea and dave had Carmel Macchiato. Plenty of tables and sitting areas and was nice to see so many people just hanging out enjoying their coffee. so I went to this Starbucks earlier today and although my latte was good the workers were disrespectful to the company itself. They were talking about how they will never pay for Starbucks a day in their lives and how it so expensive and not that good which frankly made me feel they viewed me as stupid for being there. Customers are what keep the business going and them in a job and it was just so horrible to hear that while standing right there.
