Both times my order was correct but it really varies when it comes to the time of day. If you come in the peak times, your order takes a lil longer even if you order before. I visited Starbucks on Freedom Road and was very disappointed with the customer service I received. I placed a mobile order and, while at the menu, politely asked for a cup of ice. When I got to the window, I kindly asked the employee if she could throw away my empty cup. I completely understand if that is against policy, but the way she responded was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. She abruptly told me no and then slammed the window shut while I was still there. I was genuinely shocked by the interaction. There is a difference between declining a request and treating a customer with disrespect. I have never experienced that level of rudeness at a Starbucks before. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. This interaction left a very negative impression and made me feel unwelcome. If someone is unhappy in their position, that frustration should not be taken out on customers who are simply being polite. read more

Things have gotten better here since the road construction is gone. I haven't been inside lately, but used to work here on my computer in the afternoon pre-pandemic. In the past 6 months I'm just ordering via the mobile app & running inside for pick up or going thru the drive thru. This drive thru is usually crowded & with the other businesses that share the parking lot than can still be a challenge. Beyond frustrated that after 7 months they still can't fix the huge pothole when you are leaving their parking lot. Every time you try to exit through the extremely narrow exit, you drop into this and everything you are holding spills everywhere!!!!! Starbucks get your act together!! I go out of my way to visit this location. I absolutely love the layout with the cushioned long bench on the left side of the store and the perfectly spaced tables with soft lounge chairs on the right side. The baristas are always crazy busy filling orders, but it doesn't stop them from being friendly and saying hello when I come in. They're super attentive too, so if there's an issue with an order, they're quick to make the change. It's the perfect place to get some work done and meet up with a friend to chat. It is very conveniently located. I have not had any significant problems with this one, but many small things that add up. There is not enough space inside to accommodate the constant increase of customers. This means, there are not enough employees either, and this causes a massive line for the drive-through window. Starbucks is expected to be expensive, hence it is not a wise choice to go here. The employees are amazing, nonetheless they have only a handful of employees in the limited space store. 3 people, they're closing at 6:30 and had 1 person making drinks, we ordered early on the app as we were in a rush, waited 10 minutes after showing up and we had ordered 10 minutes before arriving and asked them to cancel since we were going to be late, they said they couldn't cancel mobile orders and weren't even close to making our drinks. Clean up when you're closed and utilize your staff for customer orders and helping fulfill them...not so they can close early at 6:30 and immediately leave. Ordered our coffees ahead of time to be picked up inside as listed on the Starbucks website. Wanted to avoid the long drive thru line. When we arrived there was a line of people outside waiting to pick up their mobile orders. Stood out in the freezing cold for 10 minutes until they came to the door and said no one can enter. Told us all to get back in our cars and go to the drive thru!! There were probably 15 cars in line. Most customers including us left without getting their order. Went through drive through, and when I got up to the window I handed the women (over 50 age group) my money...cash. She then informed me that it would be so much better if I paid electronically. She made a big fuss of this, then informed me that she was "allergic" to cash money. When I didn't bend and pay electronically for my 1 coffee she let me know how I had inconvenienced her. She told me that she would need to leave the window and wash her hands after handling the cash. She informed me that "someone else will come to the window and give me my drink" while she was gone. Of course they didn't. So I sat there and waited, and of course I needed to wait on her to return and hand me my 1 coffee. Hey Starbucks, when is it that your customers inconvenience you? You are better off staying local and interacting with Baristas that you are accustomed to & know your quarks and shtick. I'm not sure what else to say. Wondering if they could use directional signs to form, then merge, two waiting lines -- one line forming (north/south) in front of the dental entrance and one line forming perpendicular to that (east/west) that comes in from Commonwealth Drive. Before taking any long trips, this is a stop I always take. Since it's not a local spot and rather at a Service Stop the lines are quick if there is one at all. The Starbucks is a little hidden but there are signs navigating to the location. Considering this is a chain, the drinks and small good are consistent amongst the locations. However, the newest addition was the mini-truck parked outside from Starbucks that was selling drinks and such just as the store inside. I'd say this is more of a 4.5 stars for me mainly because their customer service has been phenomenal as far as my experience goes both at the drive-thru and in the store. I can't blame them for being busy at times, but the workers are very pleasant and you can tell they are working hard. As far as variety goes, they don't sell everything that you would see on the menu online and sometimes they do run out of things. I came here for lunch one day around 1:30, and they weren't sure if they could make any sandwiches. Good thing there was some ham and cheese somewhere. Also, the pastries taste a little different than pre-boulanger menu. I think that's all starbucks not just this location. Love my Starbucks on the turnpike. I have only had one drink error and he corrected it to my liking with a smile. Its usually crowded on here since its a rest area but this location has a Starbucks store separate from the rest of the building which make it way more convenient for me to park closer and run back to my car for work. I prefer this location over the Woodbridge location for this reason. There is no seating areas in this location but they do have the usual retail merchandise to purchase if someone feels the need. Wifi is provided from the rest-area not Starbucks. read more

As a Starbucks on a highway rest stop you would probably only be visiting this location out of necessity. When I arrived there was no line but a few people waiting for their orders. I simply wanted an iced coffee unsweetened with milk, nothing too fancy. I ordered but the barista got pulled away since the last 4 drinks that people were waiting on all had something wrong with them. I waited at the register while another barista jumped on the other register and started helping everyone on the line behind me. Extremely long wait times. You would expect that a highway service area would be quick to get you on your way, you'd be wrong. It took forever to get my simple espresso. By the time I got it, it was cold because it was sitting somewhere waiting for its turn. I asked for a fresh one which tasted like water. I have been going to this Starbucks for the past few years and have always been impressed with the staff and especially the manager, Heather. I had a problem where a mistake was made on what I was charged. She was understanding and helpful in solving the problem. She spent a lot of time calling her district manager and other administrators until the problem was solved. I will always be grateful for her professionalism and kindness. I'm starting to understand why all the employees say she is so great to work for. The baristas are all top notch with a nod to Alyssa and Holly for always knowing me by name and making me feel welcome.
