I come to Starbucks daily for my fix of caffeine. I am always....ALWAYS greeted with a smile and energetic hello's. The customer service is more of an experience than just order, pay, and leave. The baristas have recommended drinks to try based upon previous orders. I didn't even know about blonde shots until they introduced to. Today 10/25/22 I was invited to participate in a coffee tasting with my coworkers and it was beyond the coffee experience! Starbucks has detailed was to sample coffee.... Like it was wine! We are all amazed to experience coffee at this level. It was a great environment to be in and took us away from a small quaint town to a coffee house in wonderland. Asked for a shot in cup and she blatantly just dumped it defiantly and made a new drink which is NOT what I asked for. She doesn't belong in customer service. Wish I had gotten her name. Only in town a few days. First visit was late morning today. Staff here was excellent and very efficient. Like that they have a lot of inside seating. Location is great with plenty of parking. Wow What rude service This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to in 49 states I've never been accused of stealing coffee because I had the nerve to ask the server to refill my coffee cup for which I was subsequently charged and used my Starbucks gift card to pay for and which was served cold and clearly old. You serve me the bottom of the caraf old cold coffee, which should have been tossed out and RE brewed then you charge me for the refill, and then proceed to accuse me of steeling coffee as if I am undeserving of your would be discarded refuse. The quality of the coffee one expects to receive from a Starbucks should regularly be consistently superior to your competitors. Britt (or so your name tag indicates) you have much to learn about customer service and how to treat people. Your holier than though attitude accusatory tone and language are insulting and a huge turn off. Furthermore, Your personal failure to maintain consistent quality controls clearly convey you are single handedly destroying your brand. Perhaps you should go in to a different career path where you are less likely to turn customers away with you unacceptable behavior. Or alternatively seek counseling to deal with the hate you have in your heart towards others. Perhaps you can learn to channel that negativity and redirect it towards something positive so can contribute to society rather than detracting from it. My coworker and I decided to grab some coffee before we headed out to work Saturday morning. We both agreed on Starbucks and I knew they opened up at 5am. Well we showed up at 5:15 in the morning and saw the lights on. As we walked up to the door, the lights had been on but were suddenly turned off, as if to convey we were not welcome to go in. Kinda pissed me off, because of them not being ready we had to find another place to get food and coffee. Also, the two times I had come before, they ran out of trenta cups and they also ran out of cold brew, on both occasions. So not sure why they're so lax here in Coalinga. Worst Starbucks ever!!! I have family that lives in Coalinga, One night as I was headed back to Fresno, I looked at the clock and there is still a half an hour before they closed, so I thought I would get a mocha and head back to Fresno... So I go through the drive-through I place my order and I'm ready to pay the girl hands me My drink, and tells me it's on the house.. it's free.. OK thank you I appreciate it I'd give her the five dollars and I tell her take it is for for tip... So I'm driving down the road and I take my first sip and it's not a mocha it's something they just put together and it taste disgusting!!! So basically they closed up ship and he just gave me something and try to pass it off as a mocha.. REALLY?!? That's messed up cause what if I would've drank it I could've got sick! And yesterday here's a perfect example I'm visiting my relatives again I look at the clock because I haven't been to Coalinga in a few months.. It says they close at 10 through the Starbucks App... 10!!! So I go to the drive-through at 8 and guess what... they are already closed.. That's fine you can close whatever time you want to close but at least let the update the app.. I just wish they had a better staff that work there.. This is probably the worst managed Starbucks I've ever been to and the laziest staff.. Update the app if you want to close early and if you close at a certain time that's the time you close at night and half an hour early! Order mine online for chicken caprese sandwich and mango dragon fruit (which I wanted strawberry acai, but the app said its sold out). We were passing through here and we stopped to get coffee. They were not busy except the person ahead of me ordered 5 drinks. The barista making the drinks looked like she would rather be anywhere else doing anything else. It took her forever to make those drinks. I saw her then making my drink and when she set it down I pointed out to her it wasn't what I ordered. She simply looked at me, remade it and handed it back without a word. Then, when I went to change my son in the car (because they didn't have a changing station) I found a bug on him! I was also bit by something while inside. I mean, fuck Starbucks, but when I'm out in the middle of no where (which is what, I think, "Coalinga" means in Esperanto), they're one of the most reliable places for wifi when I need to do a quick hour or so online for a meeting. McDonald's can be a disaster of the whiny, obese child variety, and, even if there were local places in a town like this, the wifi tends to be really iffy at those places. I had to see it too. Not only is there a full (i.e. - not inside Safeway) Starbucks location in this horrible, hot little prison/oil town, but it was possibly the cleanest Starbucks I've ever been inside. Maybe that's how they avoided that massive location closure the company had a few years ago. It certainly isn't because the employees are particularly cheery. The wifi was very slow. I shouldn't have expected anything else, but it was at least able to hold my VPN connection. Seems like this Starbucks still holds some novelty locally, because there were a lot of idiots just sort of hanging around, trying to be seen and heard. Bring headphones. This in opposition to most locations, where people are either there for the relatively clean bathrooms, the free wifi (and buried in their devices) or in line for that horrible coffee but immediately leave when they have it. read more

Ah, Starbucks... What can I say? Having moved here from Los Angeles for employment this small, small town has a Starbucks made my life! They do however close at 10 pm which was ridiculous to get used to until I realized the entire town closes up around 9pm, ( most places close all day on Sundays). The staff here is local, so if you are driving thru, they speak 'Starbucks' but this is a small town. Friendly folks, clean place, and I drink blended drinks, so I have NEVER had a problem. WiFi in lobby always easy to connect, but I too suggest headphones if you want to complete your task. A surreal experience for city folk passing thru. read more

Went into the Starbucks in Coalinga, on Polk and there is an awesome new girl working there; her name is Antonette. She's incredibly polite, helpful and although she's new, she wasn't afraid to ask the more seasoned employees for answers. She was very thorough and paid special attention to our order's details (and there were A LOT of details). Thank you Nette, you made our visit to Starbucks everything it is suppose to be. If I could give this store zero stars I would. Actually no I will leave my one star for the employee named Peter. I entered Starbucks at 3:50pm, not a lunch hour and not even immediately following a busy time. There were two customers on the patio and two customers seated in the store already enjoying their coffee. I walked in and stood at the register and listened to 4 barista's in their late teens, early 20s laugh and giggle and talk behind the counter. Not one of them said hello to me when I came in and not one of them acknowledged by presence at the register. I sat head tilted watching them interact and wondered what was actually working at the store or were they all four on their break? About a minute goes by and suddenly a man emerges from back kitchen and walked straight over to me and offers to take my order. I turned to him and said "Thank you!" in an exasperated tone. I'd been on the road for two hours and needed to use the restroom and walked in and of course it was a disaster with two empty toilet paper rolls staring me in the face so I turned around and asked one of the original four employees if he could please restock the toilet paper in the ladies restroom. Without a word he turned and grabbed two rolls of toilet paper and walked over to the register presumably looking for the key. While he was looking for the key, another customer walked in and wanted to place an order. The employee I was so desperately waiting for with the paper set down the rolls of toilet paper and started to take the other man's order. Peter, the first employee who came to my rescue the first time, must've seen how irritated I was and walked over and grabbed the rolls of toilet paper from the first employee and offered to finish the job. By this time, one of the other four giggly employees finishes my drink and called out my name but I still haven't even had a chance to use the restroom. At that point I was thinking I would've been better off to pull off to the side of the road to pee than to come to this Starbucks and I could've saved $4 in the process. When I finished using the restroom, I retrieved my drink from the counter, went out to my truck and took my first sip and was not the least bit surprised to find that my "no foam chai latte" of course had foam and tasted like an overload of spices. I was so fed up with my experience at the store I didn't even care enough to go back inside and complain nor did I want to see anyone inside that store ever again. If Peter isn't the shift manager then maybe he should be so he could whip some people into shape...and if he IS the manager then he needs to start delegating and get his employees to do something rather than him do all the work. read more

I love starbucks, but today I left the drive thru pretty upset. I stopped on my way to work at 5:30 am and I have in the past got my coffee at that time. I waited for 5 mins waiting for anyone to say something, I said "hello" 3 times and got no response. I pulled up next to the window and saw 2 female workers I don't if they were getting set up or what but it would have been nice if they would have acknowledged me and said "sorry we're not open yet" if that was the case. This is my 2nd time this has happened to me. Can you please work on communication with the customer, a simple acknowledgement is appreciated. Also please update the hours on the web, while waiting for a response I googled the coffee shop hours and it said it was "open" so I was more upset that I couldn't get my coffee at "open" hours!
