My bubble tea dreams have come true! Unlimited number of toppings for a fixed price…read more So Hi T just opened up on July 8, 2023 where The Feline Cafe used to be. They have this DIY option where you can get whatever toppings you want, like every single type if you wanted. Obviously, this is what I got, haha. For my tea, I got a strawberry tea with no sugar and half ice. For the DIY option they have large and bucket. I got the bucket and it's huge, lol. I went on their second day of opening. They had a grand opening special on July 8 and 9, 2023 where all drinks were 50% off. So I only paid $6.25 for my huge toppings-laden drink! They do charge extra if you choose no ice (I forget how much but less than $1 more). The options are regular ice, half ice or no ice. For regular (non DIY) drinks they have small, medium and large. They have really unique toppings. They had so many flavours of pudding. They had jelly noodles. They had jelly shaped like fish. They had these huge jelly balls filled with cream cheese too, like the size of grapes. They have wooden compostable spoons available in addition to straws because depending on the toppings you get, some won't fit through a straw. I pretty much got every topping except for anything durian, honeydew or coffee flavoured. My drink was EPIC! So delicious. I love toppings, so unlimited toppings is like bubble tea paradise for me. The tea was pretty good too. It had real strawberries in it. Service was courteous and efficient. The decor is beautiful. I love all the flowers. Lots of seating. Welcome to the neighbourhood, Hi T! Thank you for making my bubble tea dreams come true, lol. Street parking only.

Service is usually very friendly too so added bonus cuz i can't stand bitchy employees. Usually a decent supply of treats. Food and coffees ordered have always tasted great, were made quickly and they haven't messed up an order. Only reason it loses a star is it's a notorious hang out for the addicted to pan handle, so that can be a tad annoying when ur stuck outside in line. Oh and no drive thru, sux when it's a stop on the way home or when there's a line outside. Otherwise can't complain!

I do not see a lot of students coming here to study as much as I see at Starbucks, but when they do, they are usually at the back of Second Cup, near the rear doors surfing the net or doing homework. I enjoy their ice drinks more than their hot drinks, always found their coffee a bit bitter. But, when I do venture out here, I usually get a chillate, or a frozen hot chocolate. They have a small selection of baked goods and snacks like cookies, cake and biscotti, but nothing really amazing!! The comfy seats between the fire place is a nice touch! Great place to spend a couple of hours chatting and catching up with friends!

However, the staff is above average in this location: very friendly and knowledgeable. I like the couch seating here, and it seems to me to have more seating here than other Starbucks locations I've been to. Outdoor seating in warmer weather would only improve this. The food and drinks are standard in all Starbucks. I will admit that I don't love the food they offer; too many sweets. A nice brothy light soup might be welcome, especially as fall unfurls into winter. I've grown to really appreciate their associated tea company, Teavana, but I don't perceive tea as Starbucks' forte. I really come to Starbucks for their lattes, and I like them best in a porcelain cup. This location deserves other visits. It's a nice family oriented outlet, in a trendy neighbourhood and cool patrons!

I ordered their Atlas bowl which consists of oats, a savory pool of peanut butter on top, and chia seeds sprinkled around the perimeter. It was amazing. Savory oatmeal is the jam. I'm full steam ahead and never looking back. The peanut butter stirred in beautifully and the chia seeds added a nice little crunch. It was delicious. For my beverage, I got their salted caramel latte which was also delicious. Their espresso is rich and smooth and for a flavored latte, it wasn't overly sweet. Delish! Would definitely stop here again on my next trip to Ottawa! Get to it!

I loved how they were still warm, crispy and chewy in the inside. I had the pistachio sauce with salty peanuts and strawberry sauce with oreo crumbles. These pasteries are best to enjoy while they are fresh, the taste changes after a day and they aren't as tasty. I found the pistachio cream to be more white chocolate tasting than pistachio flavored. One thing I loved though was that it isn't as sweet as it looks which is pretty dangerous as I couldn't stop eating them!

The Long Version: I've been to several locations of Juice Dudez and their fruit smoothies are pretty legit, albeit expensive. This particular location is in the Byward Market and close to my current workplace. I went back to my desk after lunch recently and saw that my lovely coworker got me a little treat from our nearby Juice Dudez. It was their double fudge chocolate brownie ($2). How sweet is that?!? I'm so lucky to work with such great people! The brownie was moist and chocolatey. I enjoyed it. It wasn't a fancy brownie, pretty basic, but good for what it was. And in an time where some cafes charge $6+ for a brownie, the ones at Juice Dudez are pretty reasonably priced. My coworker said hers had a bit of a strange aftertaste, but mine tasted fine to me, lol. They also sell waffles and chocolates, in addition to juices and smoothies. Street parking only.
