I was very disappointed with my experience at this Starbucks today . I ordered a Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino, but it had a very unusual taste from the first few sips. When I looked at the bottom of the cup, I found a blue liquid. As far as I know, a Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino does not contain any blue ingredients, which is very concerning. Because of this, I couldn't finish my drink. I hope this issue is taken seriously and investigated so it doesn't happen to someone else. read more

Wow, this is a super busy location, as they offer a Drive-Thru, which is unique. I was at the dentist across the street so ran across North Avenue and popped in, in person. Be careful on North Ave- lots of fast-moving traffic! The staff was patient, friendly, and efficient. I scored a Kiwi lemonade cold drink and a granola bar, $8. Gender neutral bathroom appreciated. All staff and customers are masked appropriately, another perk. Clean and efficient Starbucks. read more

#30 for 2019 This is my go to Starbucks when I want to chill get some work done. Overall staff has been friendly. All the courtesies are extended to pass a mystery shopper but the smile and sincerity is not there or felt. Service is slow backed up with drive thru orders. This can be an easy fix. Staff does ask for your name and use it. They have not gotten my order wrong yet. I order a black tea or black coffee. Maybe it's too simple to screw up? There's not too many tables there. 2 long tables that can fit 6. And, 4 other tables for pairs. Restrooms are not locked, passcodes not needed. Place is clean. It is well stocked. They do warm your food. Although parking is shared with a mobile company it is fairly easy to get a spot. read more

Ordering drinks without ice is something I have done regularly and never had a problem. My daughter went through the drive through and ordered her drink with out ice and received her drink in a cup that wasn't even half full. I asked why she drove off and as many teens would say, she said..."what was i supposed to do?" Disappointing. read more

This is in reference to store 2949 in the US under the direction of Jaime Rodriguez. I am appalled at the level of customer service at this branch. I added on two cake pops for my kids at the window who changed their mind and wanting something. I was told in a very condescending manner by the young female representative that next time, I need to order at the menu. I proceeded to tell her that I have no problem about the policy but I do have an issue with her condescending tone. The window shut and I saw her and the manager smirking. I honked and told them they forgot my drink. She replied with a snarky comment " that's because I was too busy handling your added food order". I then requested to speak to the manager " Laura" who was ten times worse. I explained to her the situation, she offered NO apology and simply said she will handle it. When the window shut again I saw them glance and giggle so I then asked for the representatives name ( mind you Laura was wearing a name badge) so I assumed they all wear one. Laura then refused to give me her name as I lacked confidence that she would actually DO something about it due to the eye rolling, smirks and glances. Obviously they are friends. I explained to her that I have a right to complain and to have all of the information to do a proper report. I wasn't asking for her social security number and address, just her first name and pointed out her name badge. I asked her what was the policy on divulging names given the situation. She ignored me. I asked for the store manager and corporate info, she only gave me the local branch number with Jaime Rodriguez on the card. When you call, they answer so I knew that wasn't going anywhere. I told her I wasn't going to leave till they rectified this ( I was in the drive through). I honked again because they forgot the reciept and they ignored me. Laura then came outside to pass drinks to the guests behind me. I asked her for a reciept she just proceeded to walk and continue to ignore me. I then had to pull over, leave my kids in the car and go inside to get a receipt. They continued to ignore me and talk to other customers. I told her that this is being videoed and she should be ashamed of herself for handling this so poorly. She handed me the reciept, I asked her when does Jaime get in and she couldn't tell me, she said he may be in the morning. I have never seen such of a lack of professionalism in my life. What a poor role model for the representatives, no wonder why they are speaking to the customers any old way. She could have kept the attitude, snide remarks, eye rolling and lack of follow through with the drink and receipt. I have a right to formally complain and have all the information needed to do so. I had NO FAITH that she was going to actually reprimand the girl because they were in cahoots with each other with their body language, lack of assistance, poor de -escalation skills, lack of apology and the fact that management made matters worse with her poor customer service to seek a resolution. I pay premium price for Starbucks! I expect premium service and a manager who knows how to act like a grown up! Stop hiring these young silly girls who could care less about your brand. They are the face of your brand and they carry on like sassy school girls. There is no accountable for poor customer service anymore! This is why they get away with this! It is a shame that I have to result to corporate and BBB to actually ensure that my feedback is taken seriously as obviously the store at 7112 North Ave Chicago could care less. Since this is the only Starbucks in this area, it's super busy in the morning. I get that. But, like most of the other reviewers, it's really one of the slowest Starbucks locations I've ever been to. The drive-thru line is often so long that people are backed up onto North Ave. just to get in, which creates weird traffic issues for people trying to drive westbound. I have noticed they're stepping up their game, though. A few weeks ago they were suddenly much friendlier in the drive-thru line and asking everyone's names for their order. They seemed to be deliberately asking people to make sure their orders were correct on the screen, as well, before pulling forward. I wonder if this is because of customer feedback... All the employees are friendly and have nice things to say so early in the morning which I appreciate as a groggy customer. They have only gotten my order wrong a few times and it's usually when I want a croissant NOT warmed (the default is to warm it) so I can see how the mistake is made. They just need to work on speeding up this drive-thru to cram more people through so they're not sitting out on North Ave. waiting to turn into the parking lot. Way out West! In Chicago, that is...this Starbucks bordering River Forest serves its location well. With an always busy but quick Drive Thru, smiling service, a Community Happenings board, it's a nice small store. There is a small amount of outdoor patio seating and there are two seating areas indoors, with two comfy chairs in the corner, to soak up the now ubiquitous Free ATT Wi-Fi that all Starbucks stores offer! The nice thing about this location is that it almost has a small coffeehouse feel. Students are doing homework, people are getting business done, or just meeting to talk over coffee. Black Tea Mango Iced Lemonade....amazing on a hot day! I really appreciate this Starbucks because they have a "drive thru" window and as a mom I'm always in need of a jolt of coffee. Frequently when I start traveling with the kiddos, they fall asleep and I know that I will not be able to leave my car for the next hour or so. Of course I always take advantage of this FREE time and I get myself a Hot or cold drink depending on the weather and then I just pull over somewhere and have drink (a caffeinated drink), lol. The people who work here are pretty cheery and happy to give you the goods. I even got to try a FREE Black Tea mango once because they were training someone who was learning to make drinks. A pleasant surprise. It does get super busy and sometimes in the morning if I don't allow a lot of time before work I simply cannot stop here because the line of cars comes out to North avenue but on slow days I'm all over Starbucks. read more

My local Starbucks, I'm forced to go to this one as it is the only drive-thru near Oak Park. The staff is always friendly however they frequently get my drink order wrong. It's strange because I make sure it is correct on the drive-thru board (when the board is actually working, many times it blacks out). My typical order is an Iced Skinny Caramel Macchiato. 35% of the time they will give it to me hot, it almost always tastes different so it's give or take if they are actually using non-fat milk or just saying they are. It is a total toss up how they make these drinks because whatever I order, each day it will taste n completely different so expect zero consistency. I have noticed this with most Starbucks so I wont hold the lack of ingredient consistency against this specific location. When I do correct them, which I honestly dread doing, say I ordered 'iced' they always replace it with mostly no eye rolls. There is always caramel on the side of the cup so ask for extra napkins if you are going this route. Sunday nights it seems like there is only one 1 barista on staff left to make the drinks and take all of the orders. The drive-thru is always packed and often spills out onto North Ave. To their credit, the line moves pretty fast. Don't bother asking for a green stopper on a hot drink, 95% of the time I am told they are out. This is odd, because whomever is stocking for this location doesn't seem to understand the amount of customers it serves because I have noticed they are out of most things. Don't even bother ordering a sandwich after 2pm, they will be out of almost all of them. The Starbucks app will say they are in stock, but once you get the store I'm told they are out. They are out of most all foods after 4pm on most days, everything from cinnamon rolls to protein boxes. Another point of contention is that fact the straws are always split down the side rendering them unusable. I have even mentioned this to the barista and she just gives me extra. This is an odd phenomenon as I have been to many Starbucks in the city and suburbs yet this is the only one I have to ask for 3-4 straws per drink because they must store them in a way causing them to split. I will continue to go here because I'm sure like other locals, the drive-thru makes it convenient enough to put up with the drink mistakes, lack of inventory and other issues. A positive note, the staff has always been extremely friendly and that is a plus because I'm sure their job is miserable. read more

I've been to this Starbucks before (last yr) without issue. BUT... Yesterday I stepped in on a 90+ degree day because I needed to use the WiFi to call an Uber home. I was carrying 2 bags after visiting my mom's, wasgrubby and sweaty and due to the heat, wasn't wearing a mask but had it in my pocket and was about to take it out to put on after setting down my bags. I was told immediately I needed a mask. JUST AS I was pulling it out of my pocket. I asked the address and said I just needed to use the WiFi to call an Uber. It would take 2 minutes. (I was going to buy a beverage after.) The same white girl with the brown hair in a ponytail who piped up about the mask said she couldn't let me do that. I said I'd be happy to wait outside for the Uber, but I just needed to call it inside because I have cataracts and I'm nearsighted, and I can't see the screen outside in the sun. She said I STILL couldn't do that. I'm neither black or white, so I won't call her behavior race based, BUT, I WILL say she missed that class on REMEDIAL HUMAN DECENCY. To a Starbucks Sally, ASK YOURSELF: is it REALLY WORTH giving off such a negative vibe and eliciting a negative review JUST BECAUSE you don't want to allow someone with VISION ISSUES 2 MINUTES to call an Uber home? A person who has a Starbucks gold card, would've purchased AND tipped your raisin souled self, and was nothing but polite to you. It takes more time for a drink to be ordered and made than it would've taken me to call an Uber. Any which way, NO DECENT HUMAN says no to someone with a visual impediment when they need 2 minutes to get a ride home. You may not have been racist, but your behavior WAS discrimination against someone with a disability, as my calling for a ride didn't hurt you or your business in ANY way. And if you're thinking I should've ordered first THEN took the time to call an Uber, IT SHOULDN'T MATTER what order I did things in. Getting anything from Starbucks is a treat for me on the same level as wearing a new item of clothing or getting a haircut. When I go to this Starbucks I settle on a beverage after minutes of contemplation and conversation with the barista. Sometimes I'll drive off and discover that my drink is wrong (like I'm given a pumpkin latte instead of chai). It's an obnoxious hassle but I know I can count on this Starbucks to give me a free drink to compensate for their error. This Starbucks is conveniently located near Sears Auto Center. I enjoy relaxing at Starbucks while my car is serviced. I like the free wifi and ample outlets. However, I usually go through the drive-through rather than relaxing inside. It is a feat to turn left on North Avenue! It's also a challenge to turn left from North Avenue INTO this Starbucks. Besides that, there's nothing especially noteworthy about this Starbucks location. It's a solid cookie-cutter of any Starbucks. I imagine they have their regulars with whom they have friendly banter but I am not one of them. They do their due diligence with me: they're friendly, suggest upgrades, and offer treats. read more

I like this location a lot - it helps that it is literally a quarter mile from my house and has a seriously fast drive-through, but this is still one location that has yet to mess up my order. Since I get my orders at the work location messed up pretty regularly, I am happy when I don't have to toss a beverage and be grumpy while driving - so this place gets extra points. I love this place! Well, I've never been inside but the drive thru is awesome. First off, having a drive thru already makes you a winner. On my way to evening grad school classes means I need some sort of pick me up. I don't drink coffee, but I am addicted to the passion tea. I look forward to driving by every Tuesday and Wednesday after my hour long commute. The people at the drive thru are super friendly. They're always nice and sweet and all sorts of good stuff. The drink orders are always correct and they are always smiling. I tend to bring something to eat from home but always forget a fork and they never get upset when I ask them for a fork with my tea. I took off one star because of a dumb reason, but I hate the sticker they put on my cup with what I ordered. I LOVE the Starbucks cup and consider it quite an accessory. The sticker makes it look ugly =/ It's the only place I've been to that does that! read more

My order got messed up twice, but once the drinks were made correctly they tasted good.

I have had a couple issues with orders when I got through the drive thru and while I wish it would stop happening, they are always really good about fixing the issue. This time, I got the completely wrong drink, but didn't realize until I drove the 15 minutes to my office and went inside...darn I got a 2/3 decaf, 2 splenda something nasty...when I just wanted a skinny caramel macchiato. I did not have the time to go all the way back to get the right drink. I called and Kim was so very helpful and figured out a way for me to have my coffee and still be at work on time. Very pleased with how they handled the situation. I have received the wrong drink before, but it was noticed before I left the lot. They are always very nice, just have to watch those mistakes. read more

New to the area and this is now my local (walking distance) Starbucks. Have been here several times now. The staff is friendly, professional and efficient. And go figure, for nearly two months they have had every menu item I've ordered available. Clean location and solid service. UPDATE: today they joined the "we're out of that" club. 5 stars down to 3 stars... UPDATE: 5 to 3 to 1. They are a weekly "out of that" club member. This Starbucks is one of the best locations I've ever been to, and I'm a Starbucks junkie. They are super fast, even in the Drive-Thru during morning rush, and the baristas a really friendly.
