We took a trip downtown on the bus from our hotel and noticed a Starbucks. We stopped here for some free WiFi and familiar American coffee before heading to Walmart (yes, we went to Walmart while on vacation in Cancun. Hush).
The Starbucks is a pretty standard Starbucks, located in a small plaza with a couple other shops, which appear to be some sort of business services stores. This location is two stories (wow!) but we didn't venture up to the top floor since we found four seats downstairs. The line was long and it took a while to order but we used our Starbucks cards from the US to pay (keep in mind, you do NOT get your Stars/Rewards and you cannot redeem free drinks in Mexico if you are using the US Starbucks app).
I didn't love the cold brew last time I had it at another location so I ordered my tried and true iced latte, which suited me just fine. The store was decorated for Christmas and the employees were friendly, even though there was definitely a language barrier.
Overall, a great Starbucks to chill at. Grabbing to go may be a little difficult since lines can be long and picking up your order isn't quick. read more
