While waiting for our Dinner reservation time in Rodeo Beverly Hills, we stopped here for our typical drinks: the Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino, Iced Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso, and Mango Dragon Fruit. This Starbucks on Olympic in Beverly Hills is one of my go-to spots. The service is usually fast and efficient, and it's rare that they're out of anything I order, which I really appreciate. I almost always get a chocolate croissant, but recently I tried the seasonal strawberry and cream cake pop and was pleasantly surprised--super tasty. For breakfast, I like to grab their feta cheese wrap, which is always a solid choice. They have a small parking lot in the back which makes it easy for a quick grab-and-go stop, and recently they started serving drinks in ceramic mugs for dine-in, which is a nice environmentally friendly touch. I have an addiction to Starbucks that is unrivaled. I go an embarrassing amount of times. (I like to think I keep them in business) personally, I love a caramel macchiato with blonde espresso. I told myself it has the smallest amount of calories so then I can order egg bites, and feel like I have had a "healthy" breakfast. I have heard the lectures about preservatives, calories, commercialism, etc. Yet, I still feel a happy calm come over me everytime I enter a Starbucks. If you aren't good at reverse just save everyone the time and pull in head first. The few times I have come in here there is no line or it's really short. OUTRAGE Humiliating, Racist Treatment at Starbucks Beverly Hills (Store #671-312) Date: September 18, 2025 I am writing with absolute outrage and disgust over the humiliating and racist treatment I suffered this morning at your store located at 9049 Olympic Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90211 (Store #671-312). I have been a loyal Starbucks customer for years, but what happened today was beyond unacceptable , it was degrading, racist, and unforgivable. I entered with my 2-year-old granddaughter, ordered a Venti Cappuccino and a Sausage, Cheddar & Egg Sandwich And a Apple Juice. My granddaughter began crying , as toddlers do. While I was on the phone with her mother to help calm her, one of your employees (the person working at the mobile orders counter, wearing thick black glasses) made rude, demeaning hand gestures, signaling me to silence my granddaughter. When I confronted him, he arrogantly claimed he was "just asking me to calm her down." His excuse does not erase the public shaming, humiliation, and discriminatory intent of his behavior. I was singled out in front of a room of mostly white customers. I have personally witnessed countless white children crying and screaming inside Starbucks stores, and NEVER have I seen a manager or employee confront those families. The only difference here? I am Latino. What happened to me was racism -- blatant and ugly. This was not a misunderstanding. This was a deliberate act of humiliation and bigotry from a Starbucks employee abusing his position. Starbucks claims to represent inclusion and respect. What I experienced was the exact opposite: hostility, bias, and open discrimination. I DEMAND: A full and immediate investigation. Disciplinary action against this employee (up to and including termination). A formal written apology from Starbucks Corporate addressed to me and my granddaughter. Mandatory anti-bias and cultural sensitivity training for the entire staff at this store. If Starbucks thinks I will accept a generic response or empty corporate statement, think again. What happened was traumatizing, humiliating, and discriminatory, and I will escalate this complaint to civil rights organizations, the media, and community leaders if necessary. I cannot figure out what is wrong with this place. As many times as I have visited this location of Starbucks, I have not gotten a single great tasting cup of coffee or espresso. For a while I blamed a certain barista, but then I noticed that lattes and cappuccinos completely suck coming from all of the employees here. For some reason, espresso at this location, whether regular or blonde tastes like someone fried a bag of sunflower seeds, soaked them overnight, and then served with hot milk. Always disgusting. I assumed that all locations serve identical beans as well as use the exact same equipment, but no. Something's different here. Go to Westwood location and you'll get a great cappuccino. Come here and end up with nothing but used piss in a cup. Possibly barista training issues? This one is the closest location to where I live but I'm going to continue visiting Westwood where I know I'll be served a good cup of coffee whenever I want one. read more

The baristas at this location deserve a raise for having to deal with the rampant entitlement of the patrons in this area. I watched two kids cut to the front of the line and ask for a receipt, then moments later their dad starts yelling at the two people making drinks. They're dealing with a line wrapped around the room, plus online orders with TWO baristas, and this grown man is telling them they "fucked up" and at this point half of the room has chimed in to defend the workers, but I'm sure a room full of screaming is not ideal for trying to get a job done, especially under so much pressure. I left a tip in their EMPTY tip jar because no worker should be treated like this. It's not Starbucks' fault that Doheny village is home to such overprivileged jackasses. I'd like to edit my original review, because I wrote it as I felt upset and discriminated against. It's was in the evening I came with a friend to get a coffee and no other customers were inside. The barista asked if we needed a mask, we declined. He kindly let me place my order and I paid. That's when another guy walks out from the back saying "Can you put on a mask?" In an irritant and demanding tone. Again we declined and explained that we are lawfully exempt. Because of his delivery came to us, he said we are not welcome to buy coffee here without a mask. As I had just paid I suggested to wait outside. The "man", wearing a fedora hat, agrees to bring our drink outside. When he does he leaves it on the rail, not bringing it to us nor saying a word. This behavior is rude, and we felt unwelcome and discriminated against. Has common sense and human dignity gone out the window? Most of my career was spent in customer service and this is behavior unacceptable. This is the point of my review. It makes me wonder if Starbucks is training their employees to be micro tyrants, unbeknownst to to how to properly communicate with their customers, with no people skills required. It was early on a Sunday. Surely this place can't be too busy, right? Wrong. There were about 15 people ahead of us when we walked in. The line seemed to be moving smoothly, and it did move smoothly until we got to the bar. The barista making drinks on Sunday was incredibly overwhelmed. She knocked over a few drinks. She told a few people she had made them the wrong drink. Others had to tell her she made them the wrong drink. Yikes. Well, maybe my drink will come out okay. Statistically, she could not have messed up several drinks in a row, right? Wrong. I waited, and waited ... and waited for my drink. Several people who were in line behind me got their drinks. Hmmm. I ordered an Americano, which is espresso and water. Okay, it's time for me to ask what happened to my drink. "Ummm ... I think that drink got knocked on the floor," she says. "Okay, well, I've been here awhile. Can you please remake it?" "I'm making some other drinks right now, but yeah. Okay." The employees of this cafe ruined my day in the morning!!! I bought a lot for my daughter at school. Including the mafin, we were in a hurry. And I told the manager! She didn't give me the mafin right away but told me to wait where the extradition was. I didn't specifically order a hot drink because I didn't want to wait! But even after 10 minutes, no one gave me this unfortunate mafin!!!! Customers who came AFTER me already got their hot drinks and I didn't!!! What is difficult to put a mafin in a package and give the client who is RUSHING?! I already said that if you want to warm him you don't have to do it! But no one warmed anything!!!! Not bad. It's roomier than a lot of other Starbucks in the area. It was hard to find a clean table, but there were plenty of places to sit, which is great. There were a few cups and napkins just left on tables and some trash on the floor too. That's more of a "bad" on the patrons than the employees. People should pick up after themselves, right? Drinks came out a little slow considering they weren't busy, but it wasn't too long of a wait. I was there on a Thursday around 11am, so I'm not sure how crowded it gets. At that time it wasn't crowded and the general atmosphere was pleasant. Not too many laptop campers hogging up all the good tables, so that's always a big plus in my book. So this may not be my fave java joint to regularly drop dough, but they're the only one that's easily walkable from my place (aside from the Coffee Bean the other direction, like that's a real improvement) so instead of whining about it, I've come to appreciate it. Given the location on the edge of Carthay Square and Little Ethiopia, bordering a heavily Orthodox hood and just adjacent Midway Hospital and a couple of convalescent homes, there's no shortage of characters at this locale, including the occasional hot doc. Around at least ten years and on the small side of the Starfux kingdom, they've got all the basics covered-- very friendly staff that get the orders right almost all of the time, free wifi, good music, ample parking if you're not hoofin' it, and plenty of seating options. The decor is as formulaic as you'd expect but something about this one is homey. One point of aesthetic interest is the open exposed duct ceiling painted this fantastic shade of dark maroon that's almost eggplant but not quite with the brown. Something about it is mesmerizing and I always think I want to track down that paint color, though naturally I always forget. There's usually a good selection of reading material that hasn't been picked over, too. Today the man and I took a leisurely Sunday stroll over, had a chat and a smoke with a disabled woman from down the road, then settled in to the cozy leather sofa with a coupla iced rocket fuels and the NY Times while one of my favorite Louis Armstrong song La Vie en Rose hummed in the background. For just an hour there was no laptop, no mobile, just us, some caffeine and the quiet camaraderie of the handful of other neighborly couples and singles enjoying the moment as much as we were. Really, it was perfect. If an overpriced corporate latté is what it takes to get me to slow down for an hour or two during my otherwise frenetic week, then so be it. I'm there. read more

This one is closest to me. The parking lot is super easy but there are some weird things about getting out. When you get back on Doheny, it is illegal to make a left (to get back on or towards Olympic), so you have to head north. Additionally, the line runs a little slow at this one and the people are not as efficient as they are in other Starbucks. Otherwise, it is great! Starbucks in LA are all so different!
