I usually only drink iced tea at Starbucks (just was never a fan of the coffee) but with summer they have these new cold drinks of Lime and Hibiscus. I don't know if I could honestly give more than 3* to any Starbucks, because it's a chain and -should- all be the same. Here was nothing special, and they took our drink orders quick. They came out even faster but I will say the cleanliness of this Starbucks was above average. There were plenty of seats, even with other guests there. I like this S'bux: comfy chairs in corner, parking on 2 sides, outside seating, busy Ralston ECR corner, relatively reliable wifi, and friendly peeps. Staff is quirky, but I think that's a plus! I don't go here in the morning, because the train station and bus stop right outside make it too slow. There's always something to complain about at this expensive chain: the occasional muffed order, the restroom (not entirely their fault that US cities lack public toilets), and today it was the bug frozen in an ice cube. But they fix everything, so I'm still a loyal customer. I'm glad they're fixing the loyalty program to be based on $'s spent, not # of transactions. That was causing split transactions and longer waits. Anyways, I'm rambling. Better than your average S'bux, and white mocha is my #1 vice. :) read more

I go there every morning to get my usual venti cold bru, but what makes this location different is Brigitte, she always greets me with a warm welcoming smile, always has a positive attitude that makes me want to come back, she knows exactly how I like my coffee and has it ready before I even order it!! Unfortunately this Starbucks gets the dubious distinction of being the worst Starbucks that I have visited. Delays were on the order of 25+ minutes and customers were leaving in disgust without their coffees. Corporate needs to shut this one down for a few days and retrain the staff. read more

However rarely it happens, when Blue Bottle is out of reach and/or I'm craving chai, (I'm ashamed to admit) I do..... locate a Starbucks near me. I know it's nowhere near as good as the homemade chai my aunts make, but it's a decent substitute on a lazy day. Plus, no matter which suburban hell you're at, there's always a Starbucks within a 2 mile radius. One of the things I admire about the chain is their consistency. Plus, those green stoppers make a bumpy ride less risky on your thighs. Wherever you are in the world, rarely ever do you go into a Starbucks and taste something completely different from what you're used to. Well, at least I never did.. until I came to this one. Twice we asked for chai, and both times it tasted more like warm milk than the spices (or rather, in Starbucks' case, the squirts) that make masala chai so good. If you ever do come here for the chai latte, don't forget to ask for an extra squirt. Note: It's right off the 101 (exit 412 for Ralston), has no drive-thru, but parking is, for the most part, easy to find. read more

This Belmont Starbucks is located in a strip mall and must be one of my favorite Starbucks whenever I'm in the area! The wooden exterior gives it a warm feel, the outdoor seating area is almost private, and inside there's plenty of seating. I met with one of my best friends here this afternoon, and I had the best mocha ever. My standard order is grande mocha, no whip. It seems pretty simple, but my mochas never taste the same. Not enough chocolate, not enough espresso, not enough milk.. Sure, I could go back to the barrista and have him/her fix it, but why bother if Roberto can make it perfectly on the first try? Unlike the Foster City location, this one has lots of plush sofas, tables and chairs. It seemed like almost everyone there today (Thursday afternoon around 4:30 PM) had laptops open, so I think I've found my next study place! :) read more

This is an update to my old 5star review. For the last four months, this store has been kinda shaky on service and quality. Everything from a massive amount of chunky coffee grounds in the regular cups of coffee, to rude morning-shift employees, to rancid oil on equipment ruining the aftertaste of your beverage. Something needs to change. I was even told once that I couldn't get a pour-over because they aren't allowed anymore. I don't know. Maybe its a phase, maybe things are changing, but for now, I try to go somewhere else when I want a simple cup of decent coffee. read more

WOW. It was a Sunday morning, and not busy at all. There was only one person in line in front of me, two other people waiting for their drink, and two baristas. This location goes down in my book as the LONGEST wait time everrrrrrr for a drink, and it was definitely not worth the wait. My drink was SOOOOO bitter, and I ordered a Caramel Macchiato, a sweet drink. No apologies for the wait, nothing. Sorry Starbucks Belmont, but I can find no excuses for the poor service I got. Quite the cutest Starbucks I have stepped foot in. From the view off on El Camino - it reminded me of an old iHOP - but once inside, it is magical. The employees here are super fast and they can make my latte in snap. It's like bend and snap and viola, done! The secret to this Starbucks is their outdoor seating where you just feel surrounded with lovely greenery and somewhat of a nice privacy of space. It's spread out enough so you can carry on a blind date conversation if you will. A great space to get away from the usual indoor noises, and I was pleasantly surprised to see also how plentiful seating and dinning tables were provided indoors. 4.5 Stars They are consistently tip top at their game at this location and I frequent it at least a few times a week, given that I'm in one of my Starbucks phases, otherwise my coffee maker is sufficient. However, when I am in one of my Addicted-to-Starbucks-I-need-it-now phases, Starbucks on El Camino & Ralston is happily satisfying. This location gets a lot of business but the lines move fast and there's always a place to sit, stand or stare. My usual consists of a tall, non-fat white mocha with whip. I don't do grandes because that means two shots of espresso and I don't do Peet's because I don't like the taste of two shots of espresso. Okay, I do Peet's sometimes at the airport but I only order single shots. Lately, I have been more adventurous by ordering a tall, non-fat peppermint white mocha with whip. It's in season and if you're going to order anything non-fat, it better have whopping whip cream on it! So back to this Starbucks - neighborly customer service; available tables, outlets and couches; parking is easy, and Ferrari Foods is just a couple of doors down to the right. 4.5 stars, right? read more

I don't even understand why she is so rude & if you have a issue with a customer maybe you should take some classes on how to deal with the public & how to effectively handle issues. I was not the customer she had an issue with it was actually a customer behind me, but she did not even acknowledge me. Why would I be standing in line? For fun?? Never mind the fact that they got my simple drink order wrong & I had to wait for another beverage. To be quiet honest this starbucks is very slow & to deal with a rude employee is just a turn off. I've had two recent experiences with the Starbucks. The first experience I ordered my food and drink, waited 10 minutes and got my drink and still waiting for breakfast wrap . 10 minutes later at seeing everybody come and go and I'm staying there with a bunch of new people I finally approach the counter and ask and found out that my breakfast the wrap was sitting on the counter the whole time. I did not have time to wait in my breakfast wrap was at best warm. Today I tried again by pre-ordering and having curbside pick up after waiting 20 minutes I went inside and my order was sitting on the counter not being brought out to my car being late to work and grab my food and drink and had to run now that I was late for work .The time from when I ordered to wear I finally was able to get my food was over 30 minutes. My drink was called my food was cold and all I got was sorry from the gym and working the ovens. I understand that stuff is hard to come by but only having four people operating and having tons of people standing counters filled with drinks and no one being served is absolutely ridiculous in the poorest of service. The lack of management is also to blame sensitive. No manager was on duty at all in the store was just a disgrace. I now wasted my money two times at the same store, and late to work as well read more

I come here every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon while my lovely wife attends her classes at nearby Notre Dame de Namur. The restroom facility is reasonably clean, though like most Starbucks locations I've seen, there's only one bathroom, so it's frequently occupied. During weekdays, this location can be BUSY. Don't come here expecting to always have a table area to sit & work. Students and business people are here a lot, so people usually double up together at the three handicapped tables. There aren't many electrical outlets here, either. I ALWAYS bring a 15 ft. extension cord wherever I bring my laptop, as well as a Monster travel outlet (a four-outlet power strip), so I always have access to the power outlets. However, I constantly notice other people who don't plan ahead well, and come here frustrated that they have nowhere to plug in their laptops. The best part about this location is the staff. They are ALL awesome and genuinely friendly. I have NO complaints about them, only praises. They're great, and they make drinks well. Trust me; I should know: I'm here REALLY often. I debated giving this place 3 stars, but when I considered the staff, this place easily earns 4 stars. To improve their rating, I would HIGHLY suggest: 1. Install more electrical outlets that are accessible near most tables. Even an industrial grade outlet strip near the back of the condiment kiosk in the middle of the place or along the walls would be really great. 2. Upgrade the router to wireless-N. It isn't expensive, especially since MANY of the people sitting here are using wireless access. It's REALLY slow at times, and that's sad, given the relatively low cost of dual band wireless-N routers these days. read more

Store is designed and merchandised well, the barista at the counter was friendly. They ran out of BLonde Roast and I was offered a pour over. The condiment bar was dirty with empty milk carafes. Barista "Jam" wasn't noticing me call her when she wAs making coffee travelers. I approached her closer behind the counter and she said, " Sir you can't cross this border (an imaginary line of sorts) How about an apology for inconveniencing a customer who asked for coffee (when they were out) and for a poorly maintained condiment bar.
