Starbucks is a worldwide brand, but in Spain it is difference being owned by Group Vips, who also own the likes of TGI Friday's, Wagamama, Gino's and Vips, they run their operations in Spain so Starbucks here might have mainly the same menu, but on the other hand it is really different.
I called in here to get a coffee, this branch is part of the Lilla Centre, just opposite it, which conveniently is also right opposite the AC Hotel I was staying at.
This Starbucks is the nicest I've visited in Barcelona, hence the increased rating having visited three other stores, which I have also reviewed.
The staff here didn't seem too friendly, they spoke basic english.
I was also pleased this branch did the two for one offer, from Starbucks' website in Spain which last until May 4th, where you can get two for one on the same drink, hence as I recall it was only around 3.80 euro for two small Iced Caramel Macchiatos.
The whole order with discount came to 21 euro, it also included a Barcelona starbucks mug and a juice drink with a glass with ice.
My coffee was okay, it was a little too sweet so I did have to stir them, especially the second, it needed a good stir which was a shame as this should have been done in prep.
The store does have free wi-fi, but I found it next to impossible to connect even with the password veranda, I couldn't get the page to load to get it up. This was a shame.
The range of merch was good, so overall I feel this branch has just done enough to deserve three stars, I feel if it would have been anywhere else I would have just awarded 2 stars but as this is the best Starbucks branch I've been to in Barcelona out of four, I feel this deserves the rating to be rounded up to at least a three. read more
