Starbucks on Rambla de Catalunya is a busy location, popular with tourists and locals alike in Barcelona.
I found Starbucks in Spain to be fairly typical of most Starbucks within the EMEA region; prices seemed to be a little higher than back home in the UK, and international Starbucks cards, such as those from the UK and US, aren't accepted.
The store, in general, is pretty cool as the interior is unique down to being housed in an old building - it is slightly narrow as you enter, with some seats facing the counter, but this area can get crowded and uncomfortable at peak times.
It has the added benefit of being open late; they close at 10 pm daily.
The staff seemed friendly enough, they had English-speaking workers who helped explain what the Black Queen Cold Brew was, after I had an issue with this, they were happy to swap it over for something else.
I originally ordered the Black Queen Cold Brew, which is basically the Vanilla sweet cream Cold Brew, but it wasn't good at all, it had no sweetness and tasted super bitter. I ended up swapping it for an Iced White Mocha, which was okay, although it was a little too sweet, potentially down to the milk which became overpowering for me - I did find this to be a common issue at Starbucks during my August 2024 trip to Barcelona.
3* - The staff are friendly even when the store is busy and the building is pretty, the late opening is useful although beverage quality could certainly be better, especially for the prices. read more
