The menu said "f*** Yelp, f*** TripAdvisor." But I'm reviewing it anyway. Take that, Satan! Pretty decent coffee, I got a flatwhite with oat milk. Just a little bit more on the smoky side than I'd prefer, but maybe that's (insert satan/hell joke here). They have food too but I didn't try any. All in all, a good place to sit down after walking around the Gothic Quarter.

Satan's is hidden away in the corner of an alley situated in the Gothic quarters of Barcelona. It wasn't too hard to find as my map app took us pretty much there. The store is very open and everything about its theming is really eccentric and out of the ordinary. It's pretty confusing what to do once I walked in because there was only one man working and he did not acknowledge my friend and I coming in at all. He also wasn't the best at double tasking because he snapped at me as soon as I opened my mouth to ask if I was supposed to order first or sit down. He gave a sharp "hold on" with a hand gesture and finished making some coffees and finally told us to grab a table. Then, he took a while to come take our orders and finally deliver them. The coffee was good but nothing I would go back for. Prices were not cheap as I could get the same things I ordered at the bar next to my hotel for half the price. Worth trying once but don't recommend!

Satan's coffee was one of the best coffees I had in Barcelona. Certainly still not up to the Aussie standard I'm used to but still a great coffee non-the-less. Recommend if you just want a nice honest coffee! The shop might be a little small if you have a huge group. But quite closey which might not be bad at all. The single thing I don't like might be the name. The light cannot mix with darkness. Coffee, being God's gift to man is certain one thing that's in the light!

This place was recommended to me by a friend who had previously visited and it did not disappoint! The coffee was fantastic, the vibe was wonderful, and the employees were very nice. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the gothic quarter!

Everything salad- cauliflower, broccoli rabe, pumpkin, chickpeas, chicarron, egg, yogurt, quinoa

Huge fan of bougie coffee places like this! I got the everything salad- picture posted with the review. I also got an iced flat white which was kind of small but it tasted very rich and strong, very nice. The food took a while to come out but I wasn't in a rush today. But if you are, take note as I probably waited half an hour for my food! Servers are very nice and helpful!

Satan's Coffee Corner is a no frills type of place. You get what you ask for. So it is pretty hidden in terms of location even thought pretty much everything in Barcelona is in some alleyway. This one seemed to be even more confusing to get to so be ready to have your Google Maps ready. When I finally found the place, I didn't know if I was supposed to just grab a seat or order first and grab a seat and it took a while for the waitress to finally address me so that was a bit of a bummer but eventually I grabbed a seat. I didn't get a coffee menu so I was then a bit lost there as well but I did hear someone else mention a cold brew so I just stuck with that. I also ordered some toast with butter and preserves. I was thinking of a croissant but the waitress said that they weren't ready yet. I grabbed a seat by the window which I thought was the best seat in the house because you get to people watch (even though it's a hidden alley...) I enjoyed the cold brew. It was exactly what I expected in a cold brew because it had the great coffee taste with that acidic, sour flavor that you get from a regular iced coffee. In terms of the toast, it was two thick pieces of toast with a bit of butter and preserves. Pretty ordinary but I felt that the toast was really tasty. In the end, it is just bread but it was crisp but fluffy in the middle and the butter (though not necessary) was a great compliment. The preserves weren't extremely sweet so you can slap that stuff one and not feel guilty. I enjoyed my time at Satan. I think it needs a bit more organization in terms of service but the drinks and snacks speak for themselves. The decor is a bit hipster and but it still has it's charm. If you are looking for a place that might still be a bit touristy but has some great stuff, I suggest Satan's Coffee Corner.

Satan's Coffee Corner is tucked away into one of Gothic Quarter's little alleyways and is a gem for coffee lovers. The brightly lit, hipster interior is inviting and perfect for an espresso to be drunk over a book or across a friend. The coffee options are quite strong and are of higher quality than your typical find at a random Spanish cafe or bar. There are affogato, coffee soda float choices on the menu, as well as your typical coffee options such as the flat white, cortado (similar to a cappuccino, but less foamy), and espresso. The food menu also boasts quirky items such as some Japanese bites, cereals, pastries, and desserts. I tried their almond chia seed pudding, which was topped with coconut and chocolate shavings, almond parings, and pomegranate seeds. Although it was very pretty to look at, the taste was just okay -- I feel as if I could have made it. Service is friendly, although they can be a bit slow with your food orders. Another downside was the lack of wifi, but I still managed to do without it on my laptop. Nevertheless, I am a fan of the place's coffee options and the atmosphere.

Needed a pick me up after all the exploring, so we headed to this little coffee shop that was tucked away in the Gothic quarters. There's an option to sit down or take away, but you have to walk around the bar. Super cool vibe, with minimalist Japanese-esque decor, and chill Spanish jazz on the speakers. Perhaps it goes hand in hand with the place's name, but you get a sense of "cold" hipster attitude as the service isn't particularly warm or friendly. Besides that, it's a great and quiet place to take a break from the hustle and bustle. Oh, and the coffee is good.

I mean, I know what it's like to run a place like that since I have my own. But he really needs a helping hand collecting the dishes ;) Coffee was great, nice atmosphere, looks like they built it on their own - nice! Go for it! One of the few good coffee shops in town (yet).

Finally a place with good coffee in Barcelona. Spain is usually like a desert for coffee lovers (granted slightly better than Italy but what is not when it comes to coffee...). This nicely designed little coffee place that is nowadays in Barro Gothic (used to be in Raval) serves up some great coffees. Roasting their owns beans and while it may not compete with the best in the world it is still very good coffee and for those of you into the whole third wave of coffee (yes, it is getting a bit tired but still mention it so you know what to expect...) this is very good. They serve very good cold brews, a nice selection of filter coffees (V60, Aeropress) as well as very good espresso based beverages as well. The place does have a hipster feel to it so if you are allergic to that sort of thing this is not the place for you. I did however like it, nicely designed, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The place can also seat around 30 people, no comfy chairs or such, just high chair around a big table or at the windows. The bright and airy feeling gives the fairly small space a roomy feel. There is also a limited range of food served as well as some beer. The drawbacks are no free wifi and no cards accepted. Still the top place in Barcelona for coffee.

Satan's doesn't have the best coffee in Barca, but it's close. I'd most liken their flat white to Blue Bottle's latte in San Francisco, with all the positive and negative connotations that come with the association. Each cup is hand crafted and there's a fantastic attention to detail. The balance of milk and espresso is spot on, and it's immediately drinkable after being served. But, like Blue Bottle, I find the espresso unnecessarily bitter. Not enough to ruin the beverage, but enough.

    Chia cereal

Wow! By far the best caffeine (if not all) experience in Barçelona. I started with a cortado and the chia cereal and was blown away. The tapestry of flavors was rejuvenating and the cortado was silky. All in all, they put a smile on my face. To top it all off, the barrista and the chef were super friendly and make one feel right at home. Thr ambiance is modern but warm and the surroundings of the cafe make it Barcelona-edgy. I think this may have been one of my best discoveries thus far here. This is an absolute must try in my book.

This place is hidden away in the back streets of the gothic quarter. If you're looking for high quality espresso based coffee, this was the best I found in Barcelona. My latte was strong, rich and chocolaty with smooth creamy milk. We got a take away coffee and wandered the surrounding cobblestone lane ways. A must for coffee nuts while visiting Barcelona!

Being new to espresso making at home I fully understand the 1:2 ratio in a specific amount of time for making espresso. I took their advice and went with another bean selection. My iced cafe latte was for take away and I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors. One thing to note for any Americans that expect sweetener, there is none here. As for the iced latte, it was definitely less better and slightly more sweet and creamy due to the milk. You still tasted a bit of the flavor of the coffee.

Caravelle is quaint and modern, and the service is definitely on the more lax side. Note: smaller parties may be seated at the communal table, and this place stays busy! Be prepared for a bit of a wait. I started with a café con leche, and although I'm not usually a sweets-for-breakfast kinda person, the croffle looked too enticing online to pass up. Being a huge egg aficionado, I also ordered a side of eggs à la carte. My coffee arrived quickly, but after waiting 30 minutes, I noticed that guests who had arrived after me were already enjoying their meals... When I checked in with the waiter, it turned out my order hadn't gone through at all. I had to reorder, and while waiting, I asked for another café con leche since I was long overdue for a refill. Unfortunately, that second coffee never came--but on the bright side, my meal eventually did. The croffle was freaking divine. Crispy/flakey on the outside, and soft inside. The cream was sweet, but not overpowering, and the tart of the berries balanced out the meal. As I was getting ready to check out, the waiter asked if I had ever received my second café con leche. Embarrassed for them, I admitted that I hadn't... Realizing they'd made ANOTHER mistake, he apologized profusely and quickly asked the barista to make me one to go. To compensate for my time and patience, he generously comped my entire meal, leaving me to pay only for the initial coffee (2.50 euros). Despite the service hiccups, the food was incredible--truly one of my favorite breakfasts in Spain.
