The hubs mapped out some coffee places that were on multiple must-try lists online for Barcelona. The one we planned on going to our first morning there was closed. So after a while of roaming around and getting lost in the city, I looked up this coffee place and despite being a bit apprehensive about the name, we decided to give it a try because 1.) it was close to where we were at that moment in time, and 2.) I was in desperate need of a cold coffee. I ordered a cold brew, they offered me ice (they probably saw that my face was melting from the heat), and almost instantly, I was in heaven. The coffee was deep and smooth, and did more than quench my thirst and need for a cup of java - it was the first cup of good coffee I had in Spain.

Yessss, a hipster coffee shop! In planning our trip to Spain, there's an overwhelming number of fabulous coffee shops in Barcelona, and Satan's shows up on almost everyone's list of places to try. While my husband and I aren't really espresso drink people (we like pourovers), adapting to the local fanfare of the cortado was an easy switch for me. We stopped in to Satan's early in the morning and quietly enjoyed a cortado and a cold brew before venturing out to wander around for the day. The breakfast/lunch menu here had a lot of whimsical Japanese inspired food, all of which looked really delicious. The service here was good, with English being an option when ordering. Definitely a super trendy and cool spot that's tucked away in, literally, a corner.

"Pretty good but it's small." -She and it's not cheap, ya know? The atmosphere was nice though, a very "NYC hip" vibe

This is a great coffee place with a fun vibe and interesting marketing angle. Highly recommended.

Very smooth cold brew...with lots of ice!

Totally beautiful space, and they have cold brew!!! It was smooth and delicious and a nice change of pace. Limited food options, but my croissant was delicious. I would certainly stop here often if I lived locally and was happy to have this near our hotel in BCN. Worth the euros.

Edgy, trendy coffee shop. Pricey, but in that part of town. Not an authentic Spanish spot, more Scandinavian like most coffee shops. Yogurt with granola was 5.50€, coffees 2-4€, and croissants & pastries on the counter. Would stop in again, but won't go out of my way. Everything was delicious, just $$$.

Flat white 2,50 eur - really tasty

A very different type of coffee place to enjoy very good quality coffee ! I highly recommend you to go to the "libertine" hotel to enjoy a drink or coffee or sthg to eat! The place is amazingly beautiful !

After a dozen attempts to dial in the pour the staff was honest and upfront about the selection that it couldn't be made to their standards. Wow, love this! Instead of giving me my drink and rushing me out the door, it was all about the quality. Being new to espresso making at home I fully understand the 1:2 ratio in a specific amount of time for making espresso. I took their advice and went with another bean selection. My iced cafe latte was for take away and I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors. One thing to note for any Americans that expect sweetener, there is none here. I wasn't bothered by this but I could see many others might be. Looking back I wish I had bought some beans to bring back home to Cali.

Service was fast - order at the middle kiosk and wait for your drink. They have a few iced drinks available, and you can choose which 3-4 beans to make the drink with. We got the iced latte along with the shakerato. The shakerato had no milk, so you can definitely taste the beans/coffee flavor. As for the iced latte, it was definitely less better and slightly more sweet and creamy due to the milk. You still tasted a bit of the flavor of the coffee.

Caravelle is quaint and modern, and the service is definitely on the more lax side. Note: smaller parties may be seated at the communal table, and this place stays busy! Be prepared for a bit of a wait. I started with a café con leche, and although I'm not usually a sweets-for-breakfast kinda person, the croffle looked too enticing online to pass up. Being a huge egg aficionado, I also ordered a side of eggs à la carte. My coffee arrived quickly, but after waiting 30 minutes, I noticed that guests who had arrived after me were already enjoying their meals... When I checked in with the waiter, it turned out my order hadn't gone through at all. I had to reorder, and while waiting, I asked for another café con leche since I was long overdue for a refill. Unfortunately, that second coffee never came--but on the bright side, my meal eventually did. The croffle was freaking divine. Crispy/flakey on the outside, and soft inside. The cream was sweet, but not overpowering, and the tart of the berries balanced out the meal. As I was getting ready to check out, the waiter asked if I had ever received my second café con leche. Embarrassed for them, I admitted that I hadn't... Realizing they'd made ANOTHER mistake, he apologized profusely and quickly asked the barista to make me one to go. To compensate for my time and patience, he generously comped my entire meal, leaving me to pay only for the initial coffee (2.50 euros). Despite the service hiccups, the food was incredible--truly one of my favorite breakfasts in Spain.
