Starbucks on Via Laietana is located close to Barcelona Cathedral, the interior is attractive and modern and feels like it has recently been refurbished, I have visited this location twice now, once in 2017 and more recently in 2024, while I was disappointed with this location previously, I'm pleased to note great improvements.
Like any Starbucks in the EMEA, the menu is pretty much the same. International Starbucks cards from the UK/US are not accepted, and I did find Starbucks in Spain, in general, to be slightly pricey, with drinks costing a bit more than back home in the UK.
Despite being right by the Cathedral, this location didn't appear to be too busy or touristy. It was easy to relax on the comfortable seating, and the baristas spoke basic English to take my order and provide decent and fast service.
I visited during the summer and tried the Frozen Mango Dragonfruit Refresha, which was ideal for the warm weather. It tasted good. I don't think it's great value for money, and I do think the quality of the milk used is poor, although I did have an issue with the milk for the duration of my time in Spain.
