This particular Starbucks Store (Bobby Jones Expy in Augusta, GA) is notorious for turning off their order ahead feature on the app. As a customer since 2008, what's the point of having an app if the stores you operate don't allow customers to use the app to order ahead?! Instead you create bottleneck lines for no reason! Each time I would point it out to an Employee, they would act oblivious & say "oh, idk it should be on" the operative word being 'should'. I was recently @ this store & immediately regretted it... waited over 20 min to place an order & they still got my tea wrong after I drove off in frustration - this was @ 11am... well after the morning rush! Totally Unacceptable. If mgmt is even concerned w/customer satisfaction, they need to revamp this stores approach in how they value customers time & patronage. I will make it a definite point to AVOID this store @ all costs & advocate they put a Dunkin Donuts here instead... maybe even a Krispy Kreme... at least they know how to move customer orders quickly, have better donuts that aren't overpriced, and oh yeah... they sell coffee too! read more

I come here at least once a week and 25% of the time, my drink order is messed up somehow. Why do I go back? Because it's on the way to the highway. The other reason? Because my level of expectation for Starbucks is so low that I'll take a 75% success rate. You may think I am one of those horrible women that insist on using her own monogrammed ceramic travel mugs, nutmeg, half caff, etc etc. but not is not the case. For some reason, a soy latte sometimes becomes a NF latte, a 2% cappuccino or something I can't identify. How can I tell? I can't. But my stomach can. And anyone within 2 ft. of me can unfortunately. When this store first opened, there was a lovely woman that greeted everyone at the drive thru line-I want to say her name was Miss Mary. Lately it's been a hodgepodge of friendly, well meaning staff members that do their jobs wonderfully but when it rains, it pours. The last time I drove up, they simply lost the ticket and I unfortunately held up the line with a huge order. The interior is glorious and a great place for people to lounge, meet and study. If there was ever a 24 hour location, I hope this could be it. I have been here multiple times and im not sure why. They either forget something or they forget an important ingredient. For example today my wife and I ordered a pink drink. The lady gives us the drink and there all white. No pink drink and no strawberries. I would say this was a one off but it happens all the time. If they can mess it up they will. I have been so excited awaiting the opening of this location-it is just so close to where I live and I love Starbucks' Matcha Latte, so good! I went with a friend this morning for breakfast before work and everything was so shiny and new. The staff were so kind and welcoming. This location is probably the largest that I have ever been to. This location is clean and conveniently located right off of the highway. The inside is spacious with tables galore and there are multiple seats outside as well, making this place an ideal study spot for students over the other Starbucks locations. I always get the espresso frappucino (not on the menu, but they definitely know what this is) which is a strong frozen/icee coffee blend, or I go for the green tea frappe that has no coffee but lots of matcha flavor. My other favorite drink here is the pink drink! Drinks are ok priced at around $3-4 a cup but this comes with wifi and a study space so no complaints :) read more

I am not a big name-found around the world coffee shop drinker. I want to support my local places and ensure I receive a quality cup from people I call neighbors. So when a meeting found me here I was working to be optimistic. Let me start off with the location. If you don't know, it is on Bobby Jones and in the center of a number of places. I am not sure you would go out of your way to get to this location, but if it is on your route it is most convenient. Then the size of the place. It is the largest in the area, with around 5000 square feet of space. That equals out to a ton of indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is everything you have come to expect and the menu is uniform. I went with the tea to play it safe. Sure I could have done just black tea, but I added peach flavor and sweetener and mixed it with lemonade (the cashier's suggestion). And it was delicious. I did like that refills were only .54 if you were hanging out. I was having a meeting so yes, I got a refill. I know I give Starbucks a hard time when discussing coffee shops with others, but this location was top notch (including a very friendly team). I will not be so quick to judge the green mermaid in the future. read more

The location is great - you can enter from either direction (even though my GPS told me I had to make a u-turn). Interior: very spacious with a ton of natural lighting. So many tables that are wonderful for studying, doing work, or just having a chat. This location has so much seating... but only one restroom. Lighting: Since the time change, it gets dark much earlier. It was ~5:30-6pm and was super dim inside. Finally, the lights come on, but only for about 15 minutes before they were turned off again - made it very hard to read/write with the dim lights. Service: I was the only one in line and waited a long time for my drink order. There was only one barista making drinks, one taking drive thru orders, and about 3 or 4 others standing around/in the back room. 3 stars mainly for location and interior. read more

LOVE this new location!!!! Standard Starbucks menu and drink offerings but in an awesome, spacious location. There is plenty of seating and lots of room to spread out. Definitely choose this location if you don't like feeling cramped or like others are invading your space. This will definitely be my new go-to location in the Augusta area. This Starbucks is consistently out of food items, nitro and cold brew since reopening after Covid. If you get in line for drive through and find out they're out of your requested items, you'll be stuck waiting through the rest of the line because you can't get out of line once you're in it. I just waited almost 30 minutes for nothing because they didn't have cold brew. This is the third time in the past month that has happened to me.I won't be back to this location. read more

So maybe it's because they just ripped the plastic off this place, but I love this new Starbucks location. Everyone who knows me, knows I love coffee and Starbucks Coffee to be specific. I've visited and worked at every location in Augusta and surrounding areas. I work from home or a co-working space most days, but occasionally I like to change the scenery. This location appears to be the biggest location in the area. The inside is spacious and the outdoor space, which I love has plenty of seating. Outdoor seating has at least 18 tables. They're all covered by a building ceiling complete with ceiling fans. This is going to be a popular space during the Spring and Summer in Augusta. The location faces Bobby Jones Expressway, so you see traffic constantly. This Starbucks is close to the interstate like most. The inside has lots of seating also. It has the long counters/bars and bar stools and the counters have electrical outlets throughout. They also have several regular tables for a pair or four people. They have plenty comfortable cushioned chairs too. The staff is nice and efficient. The restrooms are nice, clean and new. They have a community board like most locations. Overall, this is my favorite location in the area. I'll update you if things go downhill after the dust settles. read more

I order here frequently. Usually through the mobile app. Let me just be honest.. this isn't one of the best Starbucks. Even when I order through the mobile app my order is usually incorrect. I frequently get drinks that haven't been mixed properly and usually when I get to the window, I am asked more than once what my order is. I don't understand that since I'm usually told through the speaker "we have your order ready for you.. just pull around". Drive thru workers are usually nice, but getting through the drive thru is usually a 30-40 minute ordeal even when I order ahead through the app. Today I had to explain to 3 different people that I accidentally put my order for drive thru when I meant for it to be a in store pickup. I saw my order sitting on the counter btw.. they could've just given it to me. I was told by the first person that "I can't do that" that I needed to get in the drive thru (which was wrapped around the building btw) to get my order. Why? It was sitting right there. After talking to the third person I finally got my drinks. The talk coffee with extra flavor I ordered was wrong. The tea with pink sweetener I ordered had no sweetener in it. Next, I attempted to inquire about the food portion of my order and lady working food told me very rudely that there was a 10 item order before mine and it was going to take a while. Fine, I wasn't actually asking when the food was going to be ready I just wanted to make sure it didn't get sent out the drive thru window. So after sitting for about 30 minutes I finally got my toasted cinnamon raisin bagel and cheese danish. They accidentally gave me 3 different cake pops (I ordered one cookie dough cake pop, they gave me 2 chocolates and one cookie dough) and the cheese danish was room temp at best. Besides consistently being bad in customer service, the inside of this location is not homey at all. Not comfortable.. doesn't have a coffee house feel. This starbucks location is like 2 minutes from my home so it's super convenient but I've been going to another one because my coffee kept being made wrong. I recently tried this location again and was really happy with the customer service I received from Josh and Liam! Liam made it perfectly and is very friendly and then had the same experience with Josh! I see them in the drive- thru a lot but would love to have them behind the bar making the drinks more! Unfortunately there was only two staff @ this location (on a Friday night @ a new store) though it was 9:15 p.m. There also was a large church group that was loud and had several unruly children bouncing all about. They blocked the ordering line so we had to navigate through them to order. They were so loud that we couldn't hear the person taking our order and he couldn't hear us. The store is nice and the staff were courteous. We'll have to try again later hope that I can change this. read more

Outstanding service and atmosphere. I visit several times a week and it is reminiscent of a second home. Plenty of seating, tables, and outlet space; the largest location i've found in the area. All areas are exceptionally clean to include the bathrooms and outside area. The staff is very professional and efficient; they exceed service that i've experience in other locations. It seems like the early morning crew needs some work. I stopped in today to get a latte and while I was in line I happened to look at the glass bakery case. Inside were 4 flies, walking around on the breads and cakes. I mentioned it to the staff, since there were also a swarm of flies on the outer case. They just looked at me an said we don't serve from the display case. I said " but it's not very appealing and is a turn off to customers". The staff could not have cared less. Surely, there was something that could have been done to get rid of the flies. It was disgusting looking. I doubt I'll go there in the future. read more

This is by far the best Starbucks location in the Augusta, GA area & maybe the GA/SC area too. I would know, I've visited 50+ locations since becoming addicted to your brand in 2009. I would be able to brag on just the coffee experience alone, but it's more than that if you frequent this Starbucks or any other as much as I do, or as much as any of the other regulars at this location does. This staff continues to go above & beyond for their customers & sure their are a few that are just robotic & have no I idea what my order is after all this time, but that's fine, not everyone gets that I drink a pretty much the most plain thing on the menu. Wake up! You know who you are! I went for for the coffee, but I was pulled in by the experience & the atmosphere. Keep doing what you do, despite the buzz of a world that wants to take that away from us all. You're more that just coffee & other frilly stuff behind a glass case.
