This is a solid Starbucks and the one I frequent the most in the Amarillo area. There isn't a ton of seating but they do have a small outdoor patio if the weather is nice. They have a drive-thru and plenty of parking. I feel like customer service is above average as I'm usually greeted when I pick up my mobile order. And it almost goes without saying that my drink has always been correct. I'll keep coming back here and suggest you give it a try. read more

This is a situation where it's hit & miss according to the locals. The first time I was there I ordered a Frappuccino and it was delicious. This is my second time. I ordered a sugar-free caramel macchiato and it didn't have enough ice and it wasn't like what I'm used to in Dallas. When I turned around after ordering my drink at the drive-through, suddenly a line of cars appeared all the way out into the street. I was pretty shocked and there was no indoor business because I had to go inside to order my second drink that my roommate decided to order after I had already pulled away from the drive-through window. The people inside were nice and cordial and fast with my drink. I gave them a tip because I liked them. This is in regard to the location near Georgia and I 40. read more

Just passing through after seeing the Cadillac Ranch on our way cross country. We hopped out of the car to get drinks and use a facility. Nice clean bathrooms and the store area floor was spotless. Ariel was quick to get my pour over of the Bold coffee and Debbie's grande Pink Drink. Prices are the same as ever. Great spot, an excellent Starbucks. Well recommended we will return. read more

I waited over 20 minutes to get a venti shaken espresso and I specifically asked for light ice. My pictures show I didn't get that and I threw out about 10 pieces of ice. Something has happened to this store because the customer service is lacking greatly! So disappointed. read more

I'm a visitor to the Amarillo area, but I was thrilled to see a Starbucks near our crappy hotel (more on that in a different review, of course). I have a bit of a particular drink that's probably not on too many baristas' list of common drinks made. I was greeted on the speaker by a young man who seemed relatively happy to be there (most often the case with Starbucks, as I've found), and after explaining my drink, he repeated it back and seemed to have a good grasp on it. At the window, I was greeted with a smile and a cup of lovely brown goodness that looked just about the right color. A quick taste verified the three Splenda packets within, and we were on the road and happy. Good job by a barista who'd almost certainly never made this drink before. If you don't care what the drink is, go ahead to the next review, but if you're curious: It's a venti ice brewed coffee with three Splendas and heavy cream (NOT half-and-half) up to the first crease at the bottom of the cup. I usually tell new baristas that it should be "substantially brown" when shaken; too white and I'll send it back. It's a great drink for diabetics, as there's almost no sugar (milk and half-and-half still have a fair amount of lactose, but heavy cream is almost all milkfat). read more

Left without even bothering to get it and went to the one on I-40 and Grand where the crew is consistently awesome. Don't waste your time with the Georgia location. Very poorly managed!!!! read more

I took the cashiers recommendation and put two pumps of vanilla in my cold brew. Love it! Kids are happy as usual with their cake pops too! Chocolate milk with it. Good to continue. Bathrooms had a slight smell but were clean, and had toilet paper as well as soap and paper towels. read more

Sadly, with 5-6 people working during the morning rush you'd think the line would go by quickly but this Starbucks is slow. On top of that, the staff don't even smile. Should have known w the other bad reviews this Starbucks wasn't going to be a good experience. I have called corporate many times to confirm they don't charge to add soy milk to a cold grande drink and they said no. This is the first store that gave me attitude and charged $.70 for adding soy, even though corporate said it wasn't accurate. Amidst the holiday rush, this team is knocking out drinks left and right, however, they need to pay attention when the customer places a drink order. Three times I have ordered a "Hot Chai Tea" and every time I have received a Chai Latte... It is a waste of money for you and has cost me at least $8 by being overcharged. Suggestion, when taking an order imagine that you and the customer are on your first date. As we stand there and talk you listen intently not to miss anything. Employees: Everyone was busy with the exception of the drive-thru attendant. This employee had their arms crossed waiting, for what I am not sure. Space: This Starbucks has to be the busiest and the smallest Starbucks in Amarillo. Owners, it is time to spend some money on a larger store. Amarillo College and Tascosa High are right down the street. Just think of the potential revenue you can tap into by opening a larger shop. Cleanliness: Need to work on the bathrooms, maybe cleaning them a few more times a day. Also, clean the tables more often. Maybe the drive-thru attendant could wipe a table while waiting for the drinks. (Just a thought) Internet: I ran a speed test at each Starbucks and a few other coffee shops around town. We order a Mango DragonFruit. They gave me and my mom the same cups twice grande yesterday and today Tall. When my mom called up there they interrupted her while she was talking then while my mom was STILL talking they rudely shoved the phone to another person while my mom was requesting a Manager not no fuckin staff manager and then listen Venti sounds like a baby small ass cup, Grande in Spanish is Big, Tall means fuckin Tall. CHANGE the fuckin names of the cups some people after orderin the first day will never go back if they ask of a tall give them the biggest cup yall got COMMEN FUCKIN SINCE. If yall are out of a product the next best thing is to either call them or tell them face to face we dknt have the products for this drink can we interest you on getting another with the same cup. When you drive across country on I-40, you may find yourself looking for Starbucks for a decent coffee. Would I rather find some "bitchin' local place" with "fair-trade beans", "cool people" and a "chill vibe"? Sure! Do I have time for that crap when I'm trying to reach Wichita Falls before it's too late to get some good BBQ for dinner? Not so much. Starbucks generally provides some relatively serviceable drinks, and this location did OK on 2 out of the 3 we ordered. However, when you find a big, fat fly drowned in your beverage about the time you get halfway to Childress (and feel the need to power hurl), it's too late to drive back and bitch about it. It makes for a funny story after the fact, but it's not so amusing as it's happening, so note to the staff at this location, work on the fly abatement... read more

Stop here all the time. Last month or so the service has been terribly, terribly slow. Stopped once in the drive thru - 23 minutes for 7 cars. Next time, 26 minutes for 6 cars. Today, they completed an order at the window but the person at the order station hasn't been served. I was next in line and was told "be with you in a minute". Gross this place is freaking gross. We ordered and as we waited we saw multiple employees including the manager touch trash cans and trash bags and trash inside of them, then go directly to making orders without washing their hands. I saw a lady ask the manager if she had an idea what she done; and the manager was playing with a used trash bag then I witnessed grab a couple of cups, and yes she had her fingers inside the cups without washing her hands. If you want great fair trade coffee (or sugary things that hardly resemble coffee), you're set. But if you want a great coffeeshop, go local. For the most part, Starbucks is still a soulless corporation, and too morning commuter-oriented to be a sweet community hangout. (And NO, don't go to Roasters, either-- see my review.) For good times, great coffee AND awesome atmosphere, go to Namaste on 10th St. or The 806 on 6th St. They have cool stuff like live music, a community library, chess night, local art and live music. read more

Out of the four locations in the area, this one is the best by far. It's never too packed when I go here to meet up friends or to study. One thing I wish they did change is their business hours. They close at 10pm on the weekdays. I'm not asking for a 24 hour spot cause the traffic is not that great over here but at least stay open until midnight. I've always thought the staff is friendly here, but as with all my complaints about stores that have drive-thrus - why are us people in the store less important than those too lazy to walk into the store? They have 1 person helping the walk-ins, and 3 servicing the drive-thru. It drives me bonkers. Anyway, like I said - the staff has always been great here. Stopped here as we were driving through Amarillo, needed some lunch, didn't want fast food and didn't have time to really search for something decent. One thing we knew, Starbucks isn't amazing but it is consistent. Really wanted one of those Bistro boxes they have at Starbucks but either this one doesn't do them or just didn't have them when we were there. So both my husband and I grabbed the tomatoe, pesto, mozerella panini. Pretty tasty and didn't leave us feeling gross afterwards as we continued driving through Texas. read more

Lovely manners! The drive through woman is so sweet & asks such precise questions. But they were out of cold brew, so they made regular iced coffee. It tastes super watered down. They also put cream in it so much so it was sheet-white. So I asked to make it darker. They dumped some out but then it had like NO vanilla taste. :( I'm too busy to make them do it again & the line was too long. Going around the corner to Saigon Vietnamese to get an iced (amazing) Vietnamese coffee. Sorry SB. Had to throw this one away. read more
