MOLD in AIR I genuinely enjoyed living here -- until a…read moreserious mold issue revealed how this property handles health concerns and transparency. After visible mold appeared in my unit for the 2nd time, I requested they solve the issue by bringing in a licensed inspection and asked for the inspector's license number. I verified that license with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and contacted the inspection company directly to understand what a proper inspection includes after the complex provided limited information. According to the company, a standard mold inspection always includes: 1. A full visual walkthrough 2. Moisture readings of walls and surfaces 3. At least one lab-analyzed air or swab sample 4. A detailed report delivered within a few business days The apartment complex told me none of those steps were done. No testing. No readings. No report. My interpretation of this means the complex either: 1. Lied to me about what happened 2. Is intentionally withholding the report 3. Or never followed through with a proper inspection at all For privacy reasons, the hired mold company could not confirm with me if the inspection occurred because the apartment manager's name was on the inspection appointment, not mine. So I changed my approach in that conversation to ask about what their standard inspections look like rather than the specifics to my unit's inspection. Despite multiple written requests, they refused to provide the inspection report. Eventually, they stopped replying to emails altogether -- telling me over the phone that they didn't want to put anything else in writing. That alone raised serious red flags. I conducted my own lab-grade mold testing on both air and surfaces. Results in a comprehensive analysis report showed multiple molds still present after their internal "cleaning" & inspection was conducted including, but not limited to: 1. Penicillium viridicatum (linked to ochratoxin A production, harmful to kidneys and liver) 2. Penicillium glaucum (produces respiratory-affecting mycotoxins) 3. Mucor (can cause lung/sinus infections, especially in vulnerable individuals) 4. Aspergillus niger (commonly associated with black mold-related health effects) Management verbally explained the unit would be held for monitoring after I moved out -- yet I confirmed 2 days before my lease ended that the exact unit was publicly listed for lease just 11 days after I returned the keys. I documented everything thoroughly, including photos of mold test kits, all relevant emails, notes from conversations, and recordings of verbal discussions that management refused to have in writing. I also saved communications with the licensed mold company, who confirmed what proper testing procedures consist of when they conduct them. If you're considering living here, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and doing your own research. The deeper I looked, the more contradictions I found. I advise against assuming verbal reassurances reflect what's actually being done behind the scenes. Note: I chose to post this review from a different account to protect my personal privacy. I cannot say enough for my experience with my agent Lauren Pratt at Randy White in Southlake. When…read moreshe was recommended to me I was thinking "An agent in Southlake????" and felt a little intimidated by the idea. The first time I met Lauren I knew I could put that fear to rest. It was my first home buying experience and I was looking under the $300K range (hence my intimidation)! I was also looking in HEB or Arlington area. I should note - this is all taking place during COVID as well. After reaching out via e-mail Lauren asked some introductory questions and got to work! Within a few days I was in the portal, matched with great listings and she was teaching me along the way. As someone who had no experience, I appreciated this the most. She took the time to teach me the terms, what to expect, and what portions of what I was asking made sense. By the time we were done I really understood the process thanks to her. I had a lot of questions, and I was always made to feel comfortable asking them. The time we were looking houses were flying off the market. She was sending us listings daily, and with our strict work schedules Lauren was working hard for us in the background - scheduling showings in the cold, after 6PM and on the weekends too! As she got to know the personalities of my partner and I she was adjusting along the way and the listings were absolutely matching our feedback and what I am sure she was noticing. In less than a month we found our retro remodeled dream near UTA and Lauren advocated for us the whole way. She was working for us like we were one of her million dollar clients, though we are just a hard working young couple getting into our first home. I will never forget that, paired with her true desire to see us happy. Buying a home is such a milestone and everything around it can be surreal. Many people describe it as stressful, but I never felt that. That says so much about Lauren, and I will recommend her to anyone looking for thier first place or forever home. We are so glad we chose Lauren to share this milestone with.

He took us around to a few houses on our list and a few that weren't on our list that he thought we might like. He was so kind and knowledgeable about the Southlake area. I hate agents who follow you around from room to room or are pushy. Randy was far from that. He gave us our space while still providing information. I would definitely recommend Randy if you're looking for a house in the Southlake/Colleyville area.

Debbie has great contacts, and we had a new roof, gutters and downspouts within days. Lo and behold, Debbie made this the most hassle free and easy process due to her experience and diligence. At the very start of the process, I was called out of town due to a family illness. I gave Debbie full control. She arranged the staging for the photos, created a wonderful virtual sales brochure that showed my house in its best light. I was gone for a full week and had solid offers in 4 days. I signed the sales papers on my phone while in a hospital room of my family member. When I returned, we had only to solidify the paperwork, which she made a seamless and easy process. I signed with Debbie in March, and we closed in April! From the start to finish, there was no question that she couldn't answer or get me a solution to resolve. She also worked diligently to get me resettled into a new place. I am usually hard to please, Debbie Gill made the whole process seem so easy and painless. She completely exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Debbie Gill and will always utilize her expertise for any real estate needs in the future.
