I'm in from out of town (San Francisco) and wanted a full set quickly but honestly didn't expect anywhere to be very good simply because there are less shops to choose from here.. I was delighted to be very wrong!! I walked in yesterday at 2pm sharp and found it to be packed, 2 women currently waiting and every station working on someone - probably about 12-15 people altogether being taken care of. They said I would have a 45 minute wait or so which is more than reasonable for a full gel set walk in, at peak time. Then TAMMY got me in at 2:05!! Ya'll I kid you not, I walked out with a perfect set, EXACTLY as I had asked for with many obscure preferences (that she was super friendly about) at 2:45 sharp. At $48 it was a tad more than most places I've been to ($35-40) but the service was so stellar, and my nails so clean and perfect, I'd happily come back anytime! Thanks so much, Tammy! read more

The worst nail salon I have ever been to. They didn't file or shape my toe nails during the pedicure. They didn't curve and shape the outside of my nails for my manicure. I had glue nail polish underneath my nails and on my cuticles. It was the messiest ugliest manicure ever I wanted my nails shaped with a curve. She didn't bother buffering the top or bottom of the nail. Worst place I have ever been to and I have been getting my Nails done for over 20 years. Will not recommend. I showed. Picture for a design didn't match picture at all. Tried to resurrect the situation and only made the design look that much more disgusting. Not talented individuals. 90 percent fake reviews on google. Do not trust this place. Fifteen years ago this salon had a bad reputation. Don't know how I could believe it changed. This place is super clean, well organized, and professional. This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. I am happy to have FINALLY have a regular place to go for manicures and pedicures. The pumice kit was wrapped-single use, they use a liner in the foot soak basin and the technicians are super clean about their work stations and the work itself. I had Amari- she was a breath of fresh air! Super sweet "kid" she is licensed, but not yet 18! Crazy that she does such gorgeous nails. I would definitely recommend her for a gel manicure or a pedicure. Booking is so easy, it's all online and the check in process when you get here is so easy. I wasn't expecting it to be as nice and "posh" as it is. Their massage/pedicure chairs are probably the best I've sat in without going to Ann Arbor. Technician took her time approaching me compared to sending me to pay. When it was done(which I didn't know because she said nothing), she had somebody in the seat before I got my things. She wasn't friendly or welcoming at all and HIGHLY pressured me into tipping. She hit the skin on all of my hands, breaking skin on a LOT of them. They are sore, some are scabbed and bloody. One of the nails is crooked, almost none of the lengths match the length of the same finger on the other hand. A couple of the acrylics don't even cover the sides of the nails fully. read more

The first time I came in a bout a month ago it was cool. My device was a full set with polish change on my toes. I was a walk in like the sign out front says they do. Boom so I came back last week to get a refill and polish change on my feet, the place was packed and the front hostess said the wait was an hour. So I couldn't wait she suggest I make an appointment, I said ok and did just that online sitting in the parking lot. I made the appointment for 6pm the next week because it's available. I'm here at 5:55pm I sign in but there's no one here to do my nails. Apparently everyone leaves at 6 and unless you have a specific nail tech they don't have any one. It's now 6:30 and I still haven't been seen. They must be doing real good in business because this is seriously unheard of where I'm from. read more

Every-time I come here, I'm never disappointed. Got my usual pedicure and decided to go with a French tip with my natural nails. Absolutely loved the way they came out! The worker even gave me complimentary gel polish but only charged the price for regular nail polish. The workers and receptionist are all so nice and accommodating. I was excited to go to the place to get an acrylic set because of the good reviews, but ended up ver disappointed. The lady that did my nails refused to listen to what I wanted even though I repeated it multiple times and to top it off my nails look like crap a week later. There's a gap between my nail and the acrylic so they look like they're pointing up. They're detaching from the base of my nail already, they are super thick and misshapen and I still hate the shape and length like I told her I would. I tried this place for the first time to get a set of acrylics and a pedi. I was there for longer than I expected but it was worth it! Kim did an amazing job! She took her time, paying attention to details. She also made sure to cut and file the length exactly to where I wanted. Since I like my nails shorter, I normally have trouble with my nails being cut back to where I want them. My pedicure was fine with no issues. Her nails looked good but when the nails started to come off we found her nails to be damaged, and not just a little bit but to where she has been in pain from the damage done to her nails. I believe I had Kim, very nice and she did a great job in my pink to nude ombre acrylics with gel polish. My sister went to Bella (or was at least scheduled with her, my sister says she thought her name was Laura so not sure) and received misshapen, purple to pink ombre nails but the ombre is very bad. Not even close to the reference pic. She said the purple would be 2x lighter than it looks on but it definitely was super dark and not blended. Very unprofessional and diss organized. Called at 1pm for an appointment said they would be able to fit me in at 3pm. Got in early at 245 to get myself checked in, 5 other people including an actual walk in got sat before. Went to the receptionist she apparently did not know what happened told me they could try for 430. When I had already been waiting for almost an hour. Nice they took me as a walk in but the guy who did my sister and I was not the best..he skipped a few steps ..like cuticle oil, using anything to get build up off heels..and it cost me $78 for both..won't be back, too much to pay for half job pedicure! I was not impressed with the nail tech I had. She rushed my pedicure, didn't do lotion or massage, my nails weren't filed evenly, the French polish was not uniform rounded on some toes/straight on other. My pedicure took less than 25 minutes. I come here for acrylic fill-ins, full sets, and the occasional pedicure and I enjoy coming here every time. I make the trip down from Michigan just to come here, Aileen and Lexie do great work and Aileen especially pays great attention to detail and I always ask where I get my nails done. Everyone is very kind and if you're a quiet introverted person like myself it's nice to be able to go to a salon and not have the added pressure of having to talk the whole time. Plus free water! After going to several nail salons for gel manicure in Toledo, I kept coming back to Star Nails because of their excellent work. First of all, they charge $20 for a gel mani, even a french mani, including soaking off your old polish. They only have OPI and Gelish but they constantly get new colors and are willing to deal with my indecisiveness when it comes to picking out a polish. Other places I've been to charge $10 extra for taking your polish off. What a rip off! Trish is my favorite though sometimes she is a little slow but definitely meticulous. I haven't tried their pedi yet so I can't comment on that. Sometimes it gets a little busy so be sure to call and make an appointment before going in. read more

This place is awesome, they're fast, clean, and affordable. So far I've had both Tammy and Elaine do my nails, they are both very talented and fast! Full set took less than an hour with dry time and a balance is about a half hour with dry time. Make sure to book an appointment though, as they are always busy and If you walk in you may end up waiting for a long time. read more

My daughter and I went 6/24 for mani & pedi's. I have natural nails and wanted white gel polish on my toes and nails. I was serviced by the elder Ms. Tran. When I tried to explain the shape I wanted my nails, she appeared irritated. I am paying for a service and want MY nails how I WANT THEM, not how YOU think MY NAILS should be. Fast forward to the polish; HORRIBLY LUMPY and STREAKY. Once I expressed my displeasure, she started to aggressively file the gel polish off with the drill. I snatched my hand back and said, 'No, you will NOT file my nails like that!' I was then sent to her daughter to finish. Who, of course had an attitude as well. I have not had a pedicure since 2019 and my nail bed now looks like I just had acrylic nails removed. I'm beyond pissed!! Not a great experience for me being a first time customer paid 58.00 dollars for a bad nail job. Tips were put on wrong they are not straight. Tech filed until my cuticles were sore and can't put in water because they burn. I wanted medium length she cut to low and then filed them down. Also not the shape I asked for. I had a gel mani and pedi. The pedicure was okay. There's polish on my skin I'm going to have to scrub off, but that's not a big deal. The manicure however was really bad. She cut my nails down shorter than I asked. I also asked for a round shape and she started filing them square. So she then had to file down the length even more. When she finished filing, the lengths of my nails are also all different and the shapes aren't consistent either. She then filed everything down after she was done polishing, and not just a little run through with the buffer,l to smooth edges. She used the rough edge of an actual file. So the edges are all jagged and the polish line is not clean. There's also polish on my skin and cuticles. This would all be frustrating/disappointing if this terrible manicure and mediocre pedicure hadn't cost so much money. The total was more than $40 higher than what I usually pay for the same services at similar nail salons in other cities. read more

Worst experience I have ever had. I sat for over an hour while 3 people with appointments scheduled AFTER me, were taken care of before me. I would have sat for the rest of the night had I not spoken up. The polish is already chipping because the tech filed my nails after the gel process, every nail is a different shape and they are all different lengths.
