His eagle eye spotted several pins or bolts missing, immediately. He replaced them at no extra charge. He also tightened all the loose bolts, lubricated and tested everything. To our surprise, he had an outdoor keypad in his truck, and he also programmed and installed that, at no extra labor charge - just the cost of the keypad. He also programmed two of our old remote keypads at no extra charge and even tested the opener that came installed in our new car. No travel charge. No add-on charges. Just the $95 service call and the $50 outdoor keypad, installed at no extra charge. This is an honest, efficient, friendly professional. I highly recommend him. You can get the truth from him - no bull - no blurred lines. I called several companies and got "mailbox full" or leave a message - (none of which called me back, by the way - other than Overhead Door, who called back 24 hours later). I thought he might be just trying to upsell me but he had good reasons for his choice and I went with All County and am glad I did. Recently I had a unique situation arise with a door Kip installed over twenty years ago. The door was still in great shape, but I wanted to raise the garage floor which necessitated a shorter door height, and I didn't want to replace the entire door due to cost. Amazingly, Kip researched options and was able to locate a replacement matching panel that was three inches shorter, just what I needed. In this environment of replace versus repair, I was amazed and very appreciative Kip would spend the time to research options instead of insisting on a full door replacement. Kip installed the new panel, and while he was at it replaced worn springs and rollers, and lubricated hinges. He also installed a new top end Lift Master opener. Removal was made all the more difficult because it was installed about 5' 5 " off the ground. It was very tightly installed so the team of two (Jake C. and Jose) had to problem solve and strategize before using their tools and muscles to get it out. I also had two other very large picture windows replaced. They were very careful of my new wood floors, taking off their shoes in the house and sweeping up when done. They had to to search at 3 different suppliers to find a match to my 1950's exterior trim. I would highly recommend these two workers. The supervisor and office staff were also good at their jobs. Even stranger, they don't know whether the screens were provided by the manufacturer, and they called the manufacturer to ask whether screens were sent or not sent. Then they said they would fabricate screens and it would take an additional week! No apology, no professional demeanor, I will not buy from Lane County Glass again. I gave 2 stars because thankfully the windows were the correct size.
