I'm going to tell you exactly why I DIDN'T use PC Amigo…read more I called them to ask if they could rescue me from a tragic mistake I made while cleaning out the guts of my PlayStation. The gentleman on the phone listened to my problem and what I'd done, told me he COULD fix it, but didn't recommend my doing so, because the problem I was trying to address was endemic to the hardware version of the PlayStation itself, not the fix I was trying to do to get around it. He warned me that if he fixed it, I would very well be back again in the future, because it would still fail in the same way again. We talked through some options, and eventually I decided on buying a new PlayStation, which was his outright suggestion. His honesty and his unwillingness to take my money for a repair he knew wouldn't solve the issue in the long run guarantees that he's going to be my first call if I find myself in need of such services again.

I took my iPhone 14 Pro Max to GUI in Winchester on July 6 after it developed the "white screen of…read moredeath." The phone still responded to touch, but the display was completely white. They replaced the screen, and that issue was fixed. Over the next week, I started noticing problems that I had never experienced before the repair. During phone calls, if I held the phone to my ear and then pulled it away to switch to speaker so I could look something up or use my phone while talking, the screen would stay completely black and I couldn't access it. The only way to use my phone again was to wait until the other person hung up. I also stopped receiving wake-screen notifications--the phone would vibrate and make a sound, but the display wouldn't turn on. Before going back to the store, I waited a full week to make sure it wasn't a software issue and even reset my phone, but the problems continued. I went back on July 13, and the technician gave me two options: leave my phone for a couple of days for diagnostics or replace the screen again. Since I couldn't be without my phone because of doctor appointments, bills, and other responsibilities, I chose to have the screen replaced again. When I returned today ( July 18) to finally leave it for diagnostics, I was told that a diagnostic test had actually been done on July 13 &' everything came back normal. This was never mentioned to me at the time until today. The technician then said he never told me diagnostics would take a couple of days only a couple of hours, even though that's what I understood from our previous conversation. Instead of offering a solution, he suggested I just buy a new phone, even though I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, which isn't an old device. I paid $208 for the original screen replacement, and every issue I'm experiencing started only AFTER the repair. I left feeling like my concerns were dismissed and that I wasn't being taken seriously. The technician came across as rude, and I was disappointed by the lack of communication, accountability, and customer service. I simply wanted my phone fixed properly and my concerns addressed.

After a short wait, I was able to explain the issue to the technician who clearly explained repair mode and then went to do a diagnostic. The store is small but there are several chairs where you can sit and wait. The technician was patient both in listening and explaining. When I get my next phone, I hopefully won't need UBreakiFix but it is good to know it is there in case I do.

I was greeted by Julio, and I was explaining my situation he suggested he knew what the issue was before I could finish or show him the error message I received. He was fairly certain my drivers needed to be changed. He took my laptop and in less than 10 minutes he returned showing me the problem was fixed. I was skeptical, especially since fixes my cousin and myself performed showed success until reverting back. He charged me $20 (it was $30 but I had a $10 coupon) and said if I had to come back for further service it would be applied to any repair charges. Of course when I got home the wifi was not working again. Upon going back, I was met with someone else whom I had to explain the situation to. He suggested I buy some device to determine what the issue is and go from there. I said no, I'd rather they perform any checks without me having to come out of pocket for it. A few days passed and I called for an update, and they confirmed I indeed needed a new network card. What was supposed to come in a few days turned into a week and a half of me calling for updates until the part finally arrived. When I went to pick it up, they wanted to charge me $120 instead of the $100 I was quoted until I mentioned I already paid $20. They initially told me I'd have to pay $60 for a diagnostic fee as well, but they never brought that up again. I received a 15% off coupon they emailed me after my 1st visit, which they applied. I appreciated them fixing my laptop, but they need better communication/customer service training here.

This business is a scam and fraud!! Do NOT call this business for any repair in your home. I am a…read morerealtor and I used a home warranty company, whose name I will not mention. The warranty company sent this business out to diagnose and repair my dryer. I had to pay $107.00 for this visit. They came the first time and told me I needed a few parts and for the dryer to be cleaned out from lint. They told my son, I needed to have this done before they would come out and fix it. My husband spent a whole evening vacuuming the lint from around the drum and out. When I called them to tell them that the lint was cleaned out, they told me I voided my warranty by doing this myself. They told me it would cost $75.00 to clean the lint and was not covered by my warranty. The lint should not have been an issue in the responsibility they had of my dryer repair. I should have signed a waiver that they noted the lint and would have no responsibility of a possible lint fire in my home. The lint had nothing to do with their responsibility of repairing the dryer. I called them to let then know the lint was cleaned and to schedule the repair. He told me there would be a charge of $75 when he arrived. I asked him, what for?, since my husband cleaned the dryer himself. He said he would have to check with his regional manager to see if the charge could be removed....what? they didn't do anything. They showed up at my door when scheduled, but his business manager, Jessica was introduced to me. Why is the business manager with him, I already knew we had a problem. He went up and took the dryer panel off and claimed the lint was still there and shut it up and said, we are out of here. I told him if it still needed cleaned he had my permission to clean it and I would pay the $75...I have been without a dryer for a week now. He ran down my stairs, opened the door and demanded the business manager to leave with him, and he closed the door and again said, he was out of here. I noticed also that they weren't even in a company vehicle or anything that proved to me that they were from a repair company. I looked them up on line after they left to see that they have a one star rating. My opinion is this company is ripping off warranty companies by taking their service money and not completing the work. Please DO NOT support this business as you will be scammed.
