Bought an Apple iMac but received very poor advice. When we got it home the box had only a monitor without keyboard, mouse or charging cable. Phoned back to enquire only to find out these are not included. Obviously that should have been mentioned when we were buying in the store. Now must take it back as the deal is off for the price that we paid was full and the on-line package clearly states that all accessories are included. The sales person should be knowledgeable about these matters. read more

So, my package had a bit of mishandling and ended up at this staples. I called the carrier and they told me it was here prior to my visit for some context. I tell the worker, my package is at this store and she puts in the tracking number and tells me it's not here. Well, I have never been one to back down and so I ask her to check. She checks, comes back, and tells me, word for word "it's 100% not here". I tell her to check again because I know, it 100% is there. She then comes back, lo and behold, with my package. I didn't hand it to her because the look of defeat was enough for me but are you kidding me? Like really 100% it's not there?? Even a 99% would have been better. Just be careful and don't back down if they tell you they don't have your package, because chances are, they do. read more

At the Tolmie Staples store in Victoria, BC, Natalie was very helpful in helping me select a courier on Monday, June 24. Levi responded to Natalie's question and is always exceptionally helpful, quietly professional with his team and the customers--I may not interact with him personally each time, but I observe him helping others. I always appreciate his presence as I know someone has a good handle on things. This is a very busy store in the copy/print/courier department, with a constant flow of couriers and customers. Customers are often impatient, not realizing how hard the staff is working to assist with the flow. Kudos to all the staff! read more

It's a very good story that has all your needs for your offense and home. I'll be using staples for years. I always find what I'm looking for. Except for sometimes they run out of popular items like cartridges of black ink for certain printers. But that's understandable. In a short period of time they're able to get the product back on the shelf. read more

I took a Purolator parcel in and asked for a receipt. The guy said arrogantly we don't do that here. I said oh what? They do it it the Duncan store. We're too busy, he said. (There was one other customer and other staff at the huge shipping department counter.). He and a woman spoke in some language, I think he was asking her how to do it. Staff for the most part was super rude. I was ignored at the package pickup for 5 minutes while they chatted about scheduling. When I finally was helped they spoke to eachother like I wasnt there, and several staff including what looked like a manager/owner were talking way too loudly, basically yelling. I bought 2 computer chairs from them, and within a few months both sheared right through the arms rests and resulted in completely non functional chairs. Wouldn't recomend buying any furniture product here. They also don't answer the phone lines. read more

Horrible service here. They never answer their phone so its impossible to get any information about store services or issues. Tried calling 5+ different departments over the period of 2hours and not a single one even bothered to pick any of my calls up. Also the website for business cards is misleading, they say same day pick up, but then once you have made the card and paid it says 3-7 day pickup on average. Tried to find out why this is but no one cared to call me back or pick up the phone. read more

WOW ..... all I wanted to do was fax one thing and photocopy the other. STAPLES offers the most convoluted and ridiculous system for "self-faxing" and "self-photocopying" I've ever been subjected to. Clearly, NO assistance with faxing.. was reminded by staff that it's called "self-fax" for a reason. All other questions snottily answered by "manager" hastily and passive-aggressively. "NO THERE'S NO PROBLEM WITH THE DRUM!!" ..he yelled at me and walked away. "Self-photocopying" was an additional nightmare..... STAPLES insists u must load a minimum of $10 onto their CARD to use the photocopiers if you do not choose to use your credit card, no debit option. I was planning on spending less than $5 on the actual copying.... but was told I had no option but to use the balance, in-store. Several members of the copying center were polite and professional... while at least one "manager" was downright rude and dismissive. THIS after paying nearly $37 for a toll-free fax. Definitely not going back for my next project and you can keep your stupid card. Terrible!! read more

I walked into this store 5:40 ish and I have a list of items to grab. Not familiar with the layout of this store so I had an associate helping me find the items. She did a great job helping me find the items. I'd say from 5:50 this associate was with me until around 6:05 when the "store manager" said the store is closed and their system shuts down at 6 so I can't make my purchase. I'll have to come back the next day! I was told the manager can sign in to check me out. The manager won't let me pay for the items even though I was inside this store 20 minutes the close. Asked me to leave and they can keep items somewhere for me to come pick up the following day. Not the best experience I've had. Likely won't be shopping here again read more

I made special order for iPad Pro 12.9" 512gb last september. One staff help me out to order it, he told me that in a week it will arrive. After a week i came back to pick it up, but unfortunately iPad pro is not in store yet, next thing I know, the order has to be ordered by the sales manager because it is special order. They gave me $50 off because of the inconvenience. Then the sales manager help me out. He placed the order again and cancelled the previous one. This time he is telling me that we are ordering the iPad pro directly to Apple so he guaranteed me that he will get it in a week or two. After two weeks which is around october. Again, no iPad pro. Telling me that delayed because of covid. They gave me ETA of the ipad pro. So i waited again and hoping to get it soon. November, no ipad pro. Saying excuses again. Telling me that its on the way. Its not like its not coming. Just be more patient. So I gave them one more chance. This time they told me its gonna be december 3. And guess what... December 3. NO IPAD PRO. They are telling me that it would arrived at the end of december, at this moment i decided to cancel it already because I've been waiting for 3 months already and now they are telling me that it will be delayed again. I will go to the store in my free time to get my full refund since I already paid the full price of the product plus apple care. IM SO DISAPPOINTED AND SO FRUSTRATED IN MY EXPERIENCE. Bought a pricing gun from them last year - went to get more labels in early January - they were out. Went a week later, they were still out - asked when they would be in, suggested I go to Langford. I did, they were out. Asked when they would be in again - no idea and they acted like they didn't care. Told them I would like them to order them in - this seemed like a big inconvenience. Don't sell something that I must use your product to fill and then not stock that product. read more

I know it's puzzling to give a Staples a 4-star but it's for the location; when you're on a biz trip and flying off the ferry, this is the closest, convenient one before heading to DT. came here for some copies, and like how this section is located right at the front, so less walking and saving time compared to Richmond's or Metrotown. yeah, i'm picky. 8cents is reasonable for b&w copies. read more

Love the self print stations, very easy and priced pretty fairly. On this occasion the older female staff member at the print centre was rude, condescending and abrasive. Gave me the wrong information and a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the day. read more

This Staples location seems to have staffing problems. The last time I was in there (just before Christmas) the place was completely devoid of staff at the copy centre and through out the store. The staff member I was finally able to talk to was rude and obnoxious. There are too many office supply stores in Victoria to waste time here. read more
