This Staples is probably the worst I have ever been to for returning Amazon refunds up and down the Pacific Coast and certainly in Metro Vancouver. Every single person at the location on Broadway is amazing and helpful as they can be, same as in Surrey and Langley but I will be avoiding this Staples if possible always and highly recommend trying to if you can also. The locations in Oregon were also lovely, California can be somewhat impatient with returns at Whole Foods or UPS nearly always being better than at Staples. For anyone who lives in a busy city, we all know how hectic and what a juggling act popping in to return something can be from any retailer as you have to carry the items with you after finding which location will be along your route or near, transporting and walking to get to the location, and even if you are headed in by car, to any location, that also takes prep work and going out of one's way. This gentleman in the photo in particular is to be avoided and this Staples by extension. After running many errands in the busy metro downtown and finally finding the Staples and it's entrance after 40 minutes, I walking while carrying these two bulky plastic jars through downtown crowds and streets and two ten pound dogs in carriers and respectfully waiting in line with others for one great colleague of his to process returns and shipments for the holidays with patience, this colleague showed up and abruptly announced he is opening a new lane for Amazon QR Code Returns only. Great! Except for those of us near the front of the existing mixed shipping line ended up having to leave our spot and wait behind others as the queue was quite long by then and then when I finally got to front. Prepared and submitted one return and then tried to return these plastic jars which came with a very thin plastic seal and a return label and instructions that clearly said no box needed to return, this man impatiently tells me I will need to go to another part of the store to buy a box and come back to return the jars. When I said but it says no box he loudly scolded I am saying you need to buy one anyways. I left. I even got out of the line and went back to explain to him again and he again rudely told me to buy a box. Will go find the nice understanding and great team Staples on Broadway instead who never make people buy a box when a box is not needed for a return and do not leave a long line of people unattended to and then stressfully try to make them buy a box Amazon clearly said is not necessary. Why was I treated disrespectfully and told to buy a box when the instructions said I did not need to? I wish I stayed in the longer line with the nicer colleague than be treated disrespectfully for trying to be helpful. PS. In a metro, carrying around a box also makes it hard to make returns, a bit of empathy goes a long way towards this truth especially for us not even that strong physically already carrying three bags around downtown. No matter how much one is stressed not being rude about extra costs would at least be greatly appreciated. No need to make everything stressful and make people pay more when they clearly are instructed it is not necessary and when people are polite first. Avoid this Staples. I will be as being polite here or saving screenshots of the scan codes to help expedite things goes unappreciated and resulted in being treated poorly. Expect this man to be rude as he clearly hates customers and has no empathy for others. Will leave the rest to karma. read more

Avoid this staples - bad customer service, bad print quality, generally busy, the other customers are also typically not in a good mood due to the low quality of service. Your prints will not turn out well, don't try to order anything laminated here - it will be rippled and bubbly. Don't order anything non-standard, mistakes will be made. I ordered a matte laminated print, they gave me rippled glossy laminated print. Go anywhere else - other staples, other print shops, the library, etc. read more

Came here for some photocopies. Looks like they've updated the machines now. Instead of the old-style prepaid copy cards or whatnot, now they can deduct the amount straight off your credit card. You don't have to line up for the counter anymore. Quick and painess. My only complaint was that one of the machines was totally busted (machine was on but the display was blank), and the staff were too busy to look at it. No, it was not the display contrast. That was the 1st thing I checked. Parking here sucks, so be sure to walk. Or you can get killed by the Royal Centre parkade rates. read more

I has a horrible experience here at this Staples site. I'm a Staples "Reward" member, recently moved to Vancouver from Seattle. I used the Seattle Staples ALL the time for printing, scanning and emailing documents from my personal email. Unfortunately, the machines here at Vancouver Staples stores are vastly different than those in Seattle: they are very complicated, and what can be done in 3-4 steps in Seattle requires 10 or more steps here. Furthermore, in Seattle you are charged per job or page. Here in Vancouver you are charged for time spent using the machines. So the 10+ steps that are cumbersome at the BEST of times, when the machines are working right, there's no internet delays and you know exactly what you're doing, it STILL costs a TON more than it does at a US Staples. For real. What a scam. But still, I could live with the price difference if that was the only issue with this store. But it wasn't. I needed assistance and the women behind the counter at the self-help printing center just didn't want to help. Like, not at all. I really needed some documents that were emailed me to be printed and when I asked the counter lady to help me, she barely looked at me, instead just sliding a laminated instruction sheet across the counter to me. I said thanks but she didn't reply. After 15 minutes or so trying to follow the many convoluted steps outlined on the instruction sheet to no avail, I returned to the counter to ask for help. You'd have thought I asked to be given the Hope Diamond. The women there just didn't want to help! Thank god my teenage daughter was with us as she ended up helping my husband and I get this printing done. (My kid is very tech-savvy and even she was stymied at times. There are so many steps and it really is a complicated, protracted process). Horrible customer service here. I'll never return to this site. Ever. read more

I ordered Business Letterhead & Envelopes at the Copy & Print Centre inside this Staples. I was not able to do it online, but I was told to come in-store and use the computer there. I wasn't sure what that meant, but it turns out that they have a special video-chat computer that connects you to Staples' desktop publishing person off-site. The experience using the video chat system was a bit disorienting, but I was very happy with the person who helped me. She knew what she was doing and was able to understand all the adjustments I wanted made. The problem I had with this service is that I could not find any information prior to coming in to the store. I wanted to know what format to prepare my layouts in and what media would be accepted. I brought .doc and .docx and .pdf files on USB, which worked. I found out later that I should have brought a Vector version of our logo separately if I wanted it exactly the way it is. They can't "print" what you made directly but import it into a different format (for a professional printing program, I assume), and it interpreted the edges of my logo a bit differently. As I am not able to do anything except stand in front of the screen and ask for changes, I felt helpless. Again, the person inside the video was great and was able to fix the logo similar to what it "should" look like. I hope my boss doesn't notice the small differences in our logo. Please have specs available somewhere!! I will receive my letterhead in 7 to 14 business days, and maybe it will exceed my expectations. However, this whole experience was frustrating enough for me to downgrade this to 2 stars. Epilogue: I received the Letterhead & Envelopes on the 13th business day. The paper and colour were as the sample swatches they had in-store. My boss seems to not have noticed the logo. read more

I needed to ask about a single colour printing anf lamination of a three page document however the three calls i made 15 minutes apart all went unanswered by their copy department and then customer service. Electronic voice mail sucks. Their website doesn't offer anything either - no reply to the email sent two days ago. I ended up using a printshop after first unsuccessfully attempting to use London drugs photo dept - they only take jpg files not pdf's. read more

I had a great experience - needed something printed and the lady that helped me there was very pleasant (she was also very very busy). Gary helped me with some mailing tubes - I had to also special order some to have enough. he kindly took care of this and then just as professionally and nicely took care of me returning them all. * Some say size matters - but small is sometimes just fine! * When I was in elementary school I loved having that little mini stapler in my "kit" for school. It worked almost as well as its big brother that sat on the desk at home, but was quick and convenient. This spot is a mini-Staples. It has most of the things its big brother box store in the suburbs would have, but is quick and convenient being located in the heart of downtown. My telephone headset broke and I needed a replacement quick. Mini-Staples to the rescue! I was in and out in 3 minutes - a satisfied customer and back gabbing on the phone hands free! I wonder why they still have the typical Staples "Big Red Button" at this location though. It should be a tiny little mini red button instead! read more

I arrived at the Grandview location to print files. I asked an employee for help to change the layout of the files since the machines do not have that option. No one could help me and they told me I should figure it out myself. I lost 40 minutes. I ended up going to the one on Broadway where, thanks to Nicole, it took me literally 1 minute to figure it out. Lost all my morning of study. Went to this store with a specific shredder in mind. Found the display model on the shelf. Asked a red-shirt employee to help get a new one in a box. Told me to stand by the shredders aisle and that a tech support person would come and help me out. 10 minutes pass - no one. I ask a grey-shirt guy for help. He tells me the same thing, that someone from tech support would come. Another 10 minutes pass. Nothing. I go to another grey-shirt lady. She apologises, says she'd send a tech support guy to come help me out. Another 15 minutes. No one ever came. At that point, I just left. I literally wasted 35 minutes circling the shredders waiting for someone to come tell me if something was available in stock. What the heck?! A complete waste of time. read more

A small Staples, but centrally located downtown and right off the Burrard Skytrain station. You'll find your basic copying services as well as a good selection of office supplies and equipment. I've ran there several times for printer ink cartridges, index cards, report covers, and printer paper. Prices are moderately reasonable with better prices for the Staples branded goods. Staff have been helpful in locating hard to find items. read more

The print centre service is exceptional. The work is turned around quickly, the prices are reasonable and actual printing is done very well with a great concern for user satisfaction. I submitted a document online overnight, and received a call this morning from the print tech, asking if she could reduce the document by a few % so that the text would not be caught in the binding. "It will be easier for you to read that way". Terrific action from her part, and yes I will return for future printing needs. read more

This review is for the Copy & Print centre, not that it matters? One word: Calendar. Another word: Gift. And another: 4 days. I ordered a calendar here last year for my boyfriends parents and it took 1.5 weeks (totally fine considering it's the christmas rush!) This year I ordered it a little earlier and the turnaround time was 4 days. Sweet! For a basic calendar, it was $12.something after taxes. I'm ordering another one for myself. Worst place for printing! Printing by sending email is relatively cheap, but no laguages except English is accepted. It would be waste to print documents with all other languages! Printing with computer is incredible expensive beyond your imagination. The cost of using computer is calcculated by time, and the computer gives "NO RESPONDING" for every click of mouse. It turned out 10 CAD per page, if you need to print 1-2 pages of documents. And of couse you can ask for a refound, since it's staple's duty to keep the computers reasonably good-working? Then you MUST remember to print out the receipt at the end of operation. If not, it's totally non-refundable and ENJOY your 10-DOLLAR PRINTING at STAPLES. read more

This place isn't Bad, however, it isn't as awesome as it used to be. For years I was getting some of my zines printed at Staples 'cause they would give you a cost break on photo copying in massive bulk, especially if you do it yourself, however, that has changed. I used to get my ticket stubs laminated here until the thermal lamination fucked up my tickets a few times without apology. They do awesome color copies, however, for the grade you get vs. cost = not worth it anymore. I'm not sure what has happened over the years in terms of services, however, they used to be THE place for your business and personal needs. They used to have copy experts but now they have minimum wage workers who most times don't know what they're doing. They've screwed up my ticket lamination on more than one occasions at this location. read more

I visit this location often. The location is very convinient, right by the Burrard Skytrain station and underground food court. The store size is a little smaller than a regular Staples elsewhere, but I believe they carry similar type of products. For school and office supplies, you can always find them on sale for very good price. The cashier and security staff are all very nice. read more

I had to print out some pages from my email, the lady was very unhelpful & wouldn't help us at our station so more time was wasted (you pay per minute on the computers) I ended up paying over $20 for a few pages to be printed. There is a little place not far from here called Vista Digital Cafe on Davie St and the lady there was so much more friendly and helpful plus it was much cheaper. I'd rather walk further to there and have friendlier service & save money & stress. read more

Copy & Print Centre - the worst customer services Award winner They are disorganized, always making errors. Customer services is sub standard and I credit that all to their even worse manager/supervisor. The supervisor there (David?) is very rude. He walks away while I was still speaking. And he keeps interrupting me when I am talking by yelling "Ma'am". When I told him it is very disappointing and I probably won't do business there again, he shrugged and said" that's fine". Honestly, if it wasn't for work, I probably will never walked in there the first place. I will not recommend Staples and especially the downtown location to anyone. Go to Print House or Grand and Toy at Bentall centre (basement mall). Printing house has the best service by far. read more

Horribly unfriendly staff. They all seem lazy- I wanted something printed and the "print your own" stations were working extremely slow. I went to the counter twice to see if they could print for me instead. The first girl had nothing to do, as she was just standing around when I approached. She informed me that it would cost too much for her to print my documents and that I needed to go print them myself at the station (which charges a login/per minute fee and the print cost is more than she quoted if she did it). I went back and the next girl (also standing around) said I would need to place an order if I wanted her to print something. I literally needed 6 copies of a document printed off- not a huge order. Needless to say, I left without getting anything printed. Don't waste your time going here. read more

I put my computer into this store to be repaired. They told me 2 days and charged $60 for a diagnostic. I showed them that the power connection was loose enough to wiggle so probably that was the problem,. After a 2 week wait I called to find out what the holdup was. Tried for 2 days but couldn't get through to a person - no one picking up the phone and voicemail full so wouldn't take a message. Went to the store and got them to call the repair depot. Turned out they had fixed the power connection but said the wireless was also broken and couldn't tell me how long it would take to fix. I asked to have the computer returned as is because didn't want to wait an undetermined time for more repairs. And why did it take 2 weeks to diagnose the wi-fi problem? Shouldn't they have diagnosed the wi-fi problem at the beginning of this journey? Waited another week. Still couldn't get an answer on the phone and voicemail still full. Went back to the store. My computer was there, with a wire taped to it. This was supposedly the broken wire that was causing the wi-fi problem. Bought a $30 dongle so I'd have wi-fi at home. Took the computer home. Wi-fi works fine without the dongle but the power connection is intermittent. Returned the dongle and explained all this to the manager. Listened politely to my rant and said nothing. I guess this is just the way it goes at Staples. Gruesome service - worst ever! read more

I told them what I would like to buy, and I had waited around 20 min until they checked the price and figured out if the product is in the store.
