DO NOT BUY A PHONE AT STAPLES. I bought a phone from Staples over TWO WEEKS ago and I still don't have a working device. Every time I follow up, I get the runaround -- no clear answers, no resolution, and absolutely no sense of urgency from anyone involved. It's been nothing but delay after delay. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and I honestly regret ever trusting Staples for something as important as a phone. OMG It's insane here; everyone is packed in here trying to get all their citizenship documents done, there's only one - yes, one kiosk to print your photos, and it takes a LONG time to print just 1 photo; all the while, someone's kid is peering into my photos as they come out, and dogs are barking at each other. It's like a paper mill for the masses = trashy & crappy. 1 kiosk for photos, Staples - really???!!! read more

Was at this store recently with a friend. She was looking at office chairs. She was checking out various chairs to buy. I was mortified when two associates helped her for five minutes and JUST DISAPPEARED INTO THIN AIR. I could NOT BELIEVE IT!!!! I SAW TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE RIGHT BEFFORE MY EYES . SHE WOULD HAVE MADE A PURCHASE TODAY!! Did they care???? NOT ON YOUR LIFE! WE LEFT the store, within 10 minutes inside the COSTCO door, she went down an aisle, an associate there answered her questions AND STAYED with this senior and put it on a big orange cart for her and told her when we see the guys outside putting carts away, they would be glad to help her. NO WONDER COSTCO is packed with people every day and Staples Chain Lake Drive have NEXT TO NOBODY in the store as they don't give a darn about helping a customer!!! Don't bother going into this store, go across the street to COSTCO and see what REAL customer service is about!!!! read more

I am a regular Staples shopper. I find myself frequently visiting this particular location. I am either there to purchase a binder or dividers for work or I'm there if I need some pens for my house. I went in yesterday to purchase a new day timer. I spent about 30 minutes looking for one that has exactly what I need in it. I found a pretty pink, leather one and the shelf sticker said $9.78. Without any hesitation, I flew up to the counter and asked to be checked through the registers. When the lady scanned the item, it rang up $58.00. I quickly said, no way, this was only $9.78 on the shelf. They had a girl run down to the isle to look and she came back saying it was put in the wrong section by another customer but told me I could have it for $9.78. That was great customer service! Although I would have accepted that if it was put in the wrong section by a customer, the fact that she honoured that price just went to show that this store was there to make the customer happy! Very impressed with the cleanliness of the store! Great customer service as well! read more

The nice thing is that this store is rarely busy - back to school and Christmas excepted as is almost anywhere - which makes it nice to shop in. Even though they seem chronically overstaffed, the sales associates have never hassled me nor asked if I needed help finding anything. This is something I prefer, but I know a good many others like a bit more personalized service. It's always fun to see what's in the clearance section, especially if you like to rummage and see what's about to go out of fashion technologically. Just beware that there are rarely to ever any good deals to be had in said clearance section because the markdowns are scant, or if it's a significant discount, they're just taking something unimaginably overpriced and making it just regular terribly overpriced. Their computer monitor prices are favorably priced vs the various online retailers, but other items such as software and certain office supplies can be jacked up 200 percent. This means that it's one of those stores where you have to be vigilant about pricing if you're either on a budget, or a person who dislikes being price gouged. Never hurts to do a quick check on your phone to compare prices with other stores or online. Lastly I like that the store is usually very neat and tidy and we'll organized. read more

The guy who served me did seek out other help for me to make my decision on what to buy. I was told that although their store is huge, it does not stock the best variety. I love office supplies. I love to browse them, I love to feel them, I love to try new things - I could drop an entire paycheque in a stationery store like this. Post-its, flags, gel pens, daytimers, rolodexes, printed paper - all on my must-have lists. This Staples is generally well-organized (except at back-to-school time, when it's every man for themselves!). Items are arranged in a reasonable fashion and there are generally several different price points available for each item. The pen aisle is where I can spend some serious amount of time. I insist on using fine-tip blue ink gel roller pens and am happy to have the opportunity to explore the different models available. This Staples also provides printing services and sells computers and office furniture. They really are a one-stop shop when outfitting any office, especially a home office. read more

Went in to print some photos in my USB driver for some important documents and got refused because of their stupid store policy. They said since the photos weren't taken there they wouldn't print it. They said since it's for government documents and they couldn't verify the photos were from a real person they couldn't print it. Then I told them I did not need them to verify anything I just needed it to be printed out. It's for my parents overseas and they couldn't come here to take photos. Still got refused. The first girl who helped me was absolutely lovely. But the second girl was pretty cold and unsympathetic about it. Not sure exactly why the policy is like this but it's absolutely annoying when you need shit done ASAP. If you run a printing service then just print it. What I need the printed material to go should be my own business. Also I don't expect the customer service to change the store policy, but I also work in customer service and when I couldn't help a customer for something important purely because of store policy I would say sorry at least. There were no apology and no understanding and just a hard firm "no" to any of my questions during the whole conversation with the second girl. Basically I went there just to print two photos in my USB driver and then got scolded like a child in front of other customers. Whoever that girl was she probably needs to work in a different industry because the service I've received was so bad that even Walmart beat it. Walmart also couldn't print it out but at least I could see they tried to help unlike the girl in Staples. read more

This is for the printing "services" and the "workers" that were "doing" something (?) there. First off let's remove "Services" from the title of the department because I literally was the only one who did any work. Instead of telling the woman what I wanted to print I was told to go to a terminal and do it myself and in the bargain I got very resistant and judgemental assistance with a question about using the program I have no history or interest in. And I mean I really did have to convince her to come and help. And THEN I'm told, while she's surrounded by a half million dollars worth of laser printers, that were doing NOTHING that she'll email me whenever they get around to printing my order. The printing I might add could have been done there and then in 30 seconds. Staples enjoy the $50 I gave you, GAVE you because it was hardly earned because I'll not be back. And to the woman working there - try practicing your human-like traits it may pass as a personality given time. read more
