I needed a new office chair and was glad to see they had several options and a great sale. I decided to go with a cool gamers chair since I'm working from home and it was very comfortable. Can you believe chair warranties have limitations based on hours of use. Several chairs had 3-5 hours in 24 hr. Really. I needed a few other items but the price was almost twice as much as Walmart. So I rolled out of there in my chair with a smile. Customer service was great. Post covid-19, only one main register was open occasionally and the copy/print center. The was a steady flow of people at the copy/print center and the main register but no delays. There is a sign asking customers to wear masks, most people were accommodating and respected the social distancing guidelines. read more

The employee at the printing center wouldn't make a copy for me. She told me I could wait in the self service line. At the self service printer there was a woman with a baby in a carrier and a toddler who clearly needed help with printing. The employee looked at her and did nothing to help. We were the only 2 customers in the entire store. I left and will not be back. Do better Staples. There are lots of choices out there. You aren't the only one. read more

I had a less than desirable print to be copied, resized, and laminated which you went online, found the exact copies necessary that were a crystal clear copy to use instead which were perfect !! I've been a steady customer of Staples for 19 years, but will never use them again. I bought a HP Printer/Scanner from Staples in Daphne, Alabama on November 19, 2019. It never worked correctly out of the box. Sometimes it would print; sometimes it would not. Sometimes it would scan; sometimes it would not. Sometimes when it would print, it would be gibberish for several pages! I ran the HP diagnostics repeatedly. Sometimes it would correct the problems for a short time but never permanently. It became very frustrating. I finally had enough and on December 16, 2019 (less than 30 days from purchase) I returned the machine to Staples, saying I would like to return it for another model that had a better track record for reliability. I explained all of the above including that the machine never worked correctly from day one. They refused the return saying that since I had not purchased the extended service option, they would not honor the return. So after 19 years as a customer of the Daphne, Alabama store and spending thousands of dollars over the last almost two decades, they have permanently lost me as a customer. Store is nice and well kept, I usually go there for self service but I needed to purchase some items during my last visit. I saw the same red haired lady who made a face when I said hi to her on a previous visit. Anyway, I proceeded to ask where could I go and check out and her reaction was: 1. Did not talk to me 2. Got irritated at me because the machine didn't work 3. Waited until I walked alway to say "thanks" or something of such. I don't expect anyone to kiss my toes when I go somewhere but I also don't like give my business to someone who will treat people poorly. read more

Horrible experience. I dropped off a sheet of paper with 4 designs off at the copy/print center. A young girl was there eating lunch. I told her she could finish. Then I explained what I wanted... The 4 designs to be cut and then laminated. It was 2:15 pm. I gave my name and phone number and said I would be back later in the evening. At 7 pm, I returned to pick up my order. The guy at the area first could my find my order at first. He then located it in the back counter.. Undone. He asked what I wanted. I explained again. He then laminated the whole sheet and have it to me. I again expressed that I wanted the designs cut and then laminated. So he cut them. It looked like crap. I said to cancel my order. He shrugged his shoulders and said "sorry" So I am leaving with nothing but dissatisfaction. Anyone know a place who laminates? read more

Very bad and poor customer service. Can't find my pass order and can't seem to help me reorder some business cards. How hard can that be. If you don't want to work or help ppl then you should not be working. Never going back here again! read more

Great place. Robert was very helpful and effecoent in the printing department. He printed a binder for me so I could see what it looked like while I waited. Didn't take long and the results were great!! I recommended a visit to their printing department. I have also gotten great service from the other areas of the store. First time at this staples and will be the last. The manager is terribly unprofessional and insults you when you don't do what she wants. Went in to buy a printer and the GM started to tell us about the product despite us saying we have had it before. It was in the cart cause we already knew we were buying it and she's still trying to talk about the product and won't stop. She keeps talking about everything wrong with the printer and how they always go out (I don't think managers are supposed to talk about how bad their products are). Clearly she's trying to down play the printer to scare us into buying the warranty. I get that part but when we tell her no she starts to insult us and tries to pressure us by making us feel stupid for not buying it. She would not stop trying to sell this stupid warranty we didn't want. Then when we are checking out, she meets us at the register and keeps pressuring us to buy the warranty. After she gives up on the warranty (she literally scoffed after the last no and rolled her eyes) she tells us we can save $10 by downloading an app which we may have done had she not told my wife "you're a teacher I know you need the extra savings." which obviously made my wife feel even more insulted as this lady is now attacking her profession's pay. I mean I don't know how someone that rude and patronizing gets to be a GM of a store and I really hope she does not treat her employees like that. But as a customer I left pissed and upset I even bought the printer simply from how rude and patronizing this lady was. The bad part is we never asked her for help and even let her know we didn't need any and she still took it upon herself to do all this. TL:DR is do not shop here. read more

Needed a new PC accessory. Planned to spend $$, located the product with no assistance, went to check out, there was one cashier with many people in line...I noticed a check out aisle sign posted at the services area so I then stood in that shorter line to be checked out, but after waiting for quite some time and finally moving to the check out desk I was rudely ordered to go back to the cashier area rather than doing the right thing - to gladly take care of my sale transaction at that opportunity. Unbelievable. Completely unacceptable. Absolutely pathetic customer service - I walked out ...I suggest that every customer in need of new PC and office supplies completely avoid this Daphne, AL store. Btw, I immediately went to Office Depot and experienced very friendly, immediate hands-on service, fast check out, and a terrific consumer experience. From this day forward, I will only shop Office Depot and forever avoid Staples. read more

No stars. Minus stars if possible. I thought I could bypass the poor staffing and order online. I went to pick up my order and of course, it was wrong. They hummed and hawed, called in a manager, finally got the correct order with no eye contact, no sorry, and no thanks! I was surrounded by idiots! read more

I had a very good experience with this store. They ordered the item online that I wanted since it was not in stock and processed the payment in the store. The item was supposed to arrive in 3 days. The next morning I got an email that the item was not in stock and needed to return to the store for a refund for part of my order. I drove back the 1 1/2 hours to the store and she processed the refund for instore items for the purchase. The corporation was sending me a check for the $459 instead of putting back on my card as the store did. The check as not yet arrived and I called and they said 7-10 business days for a check. That means they are getting the interest on my money for a week now (and it is still not here) and I still have to wait another 5 days for something that should have happened immediately. I will definitely only shop at Staples now as the last resort even though the locations staff was very helpful and friendly. read more
