Ordering online was easy and they had exactly what we were looking for - a Weber grill with free assembly and delivery. We ordered on a Monday and delivery was expected that Wednesday - so FAST. They were there within an hour or so and brought it to the patio. We should have just ordered from Ace in the first place! Lesson learned.

My father's family's business, begun in the mid-1930s, in western Pennsylvania was their 14 hardware stores that slowly dissolved from 1957 to 1962 as prepackaged goods and discount stores began their rise. I began "working" as a five-year old putting bicycles together for Christmas (inverting pedals and installing handlebars - not hard), then later weighing nails from kegs, cutting cast iron pipe and glass. When I discovered Crown, my childhood memories came back quickly! A wonderful place, indeed.

I was not happy with the way things were working there and said so. Now, years later, I can honestly say that they are much more organized and kempt. That being said, there are still some issues; i.e., like going in to not find everyday items I expected; certain hose bib size, specific type duplex receptacle and in late September/Early October, they were out of a common weed control product, Weed-B-Gone. I still go here regularly, though, and find it convenient because it is so close to the house and I don't have to travel to go to a big box (Home Depot/Lowes) and deal with the crowd, parking and size of the warehouses. So, all-in-all, the store is organized now and "mostly" has what knick-knacks I want with the occasional exception.

Best example - I wanted to take advantage of a nice early November day to string Christmas lights today. The Christmas items were not yet on shelves, but the staff went into the storage and hauled out about a dozen large boxes and sorted through them to find exactly what I needed.
