$250 and 2 months later, no glasses and no refund. If I could give them a zero I would. They are very unprofessional, every time I go in no one knows what's going on. The girl at the front and one of the sales managers are always to busy flirting with each other than to figure out my order. They told us they could order the glasses I wanted in black since the store only had red. It is now 2 months later and I do not have my glasses and they can't figure out why they have not received them or what's going on with the order, just keep telling me they'll be in next week. It's been 2 months! I asked for a refund and they said it's been past 30 days so I'm unable to get a refund. $250 and they will not give me my glasses or money back. I've been on the phone with corporate countless times and all they can tell me is they are trying to get an approval for a refund. Nightmare! Do not go here! Went here for eye exam to get contacts. Staff seemed to not know what they're doing. Doctor lacked bedside manner. They didn't have my contact strength in stock so he put in 2 different brands in each eye and said sorry we don't have what you need. Had to return the next day because a contact lens popped out while I was working- causing me to leave work to get my glasses at home! Definitely not a pleasant or personalized experience. I have used this location for the last several years without any problems. However, the staff has changed and other than one employee, (Laurel - who was trying to be helpful, but had to do what the manager told her to do), the Manager Kat, had been curt, or loud spoken and rude. I have a problem that the optometrist apparently mistakenly wrote the wrong prescription for one lense in my glasses. When I returned the next day, the manager Kat, was rude and insinuated that the prescription was fine and that sometimes the plastic lenses aren't curved correctly. I knew this was not the case, as I've purchased plastic lenses many times before. I was there for over an hour repeating the same problem to 3 people. I kept being put "aside" - while they were supposedly investigating, but in fact they were taking care of new customers coming in. The work environment is stressful in my opinion. The first day I went in, I heard the Manager Kat "brag" about that she had been there only a year, she was fast, and that's why she's been promoted twice - I'm sure everyone in the building heard the same comments as she's quite loud. The first day I went in - just to browse and ask about my purchase history, I had to wait over an hour for Kat to pull up my purchase history - apparently she was the only one that had that ability to do this and kept doing other things - it ultimately only took her 3 minutes - but I was obviously not a priority even though I had been waiting and waiting. On the issue about the prescription, when they FINALLY figured out or decided that the prescription was wrong, it took them a day and a half to make a new lense for the one eye, and never told me what the problem was, although I asked. I called this morning wanting to know if my glasses were ready, and what the problem was with my prescription - Adam (another manager?) was not very polite, said he couldn't check with the lab about the prescription because they didn't know anything - what???? How can that be when they are the ones making the lense. He also couldn't get me in touch with the Doctor because he wasn't in yet and the doctor had appointments. Seems like the staff needs some customer service education. Especially when mistakes are made somewhere along the line that causes a problem. And the Problem people get shoved to the back of the line. I would not recommend going to this particular location. I do not know about the others, but this one is not run very well. I have made 2 direct complaints by phone about this one issue and they assure me it will be handled. The customer service people were very nice. Beware of this location. read more

Just finished my contact exam on Stanton Optical. I was very apprehensive about an appointment here after reading reviews. When I arrived there was a mixup with my appointment time (I thought it was 3 and they had me for 1:45). They were very nice and accommodating. I had to bring my children with me and everyone was very kind and patient. I saw Dr Chad Mahaffey. He was great and seemed very thorough. The place seemed clean and I saw the doctor clean all tools before using them on me. I did feel a little pressure to go 'look at glasses' but since I was there for a contact exam it wasn't really an issue. I walked out with a copy of my glasses and contact rx. In all I enjoyed my visit and would come back. read more

Stanton optical leaves a lot to be desired BUT one bright shining star is a young lady named Elizabeth who is awesome. She is outstanding at customer service! She is very pleasant and very helpful. She should be the manager here (the manager Adam was not very helpful and I'm being kind). If I owned a store I would hire this girl instantly. She knows customer service! Kudos to Elizabeth. Without her I would have had a very bad experience at Stanton Optical. She should be promoted to manager. I was so disappointed in the "manager" I was ready to walk out. I went into Stanton optical for a free eye exam and glasses today. I was immediately greeted and helped as soon as I walked in. I picked out my glasses (buy one get one FREE) then headed straight back for my FREE eye exam. They had me in and out with 2 pairs of glasses in less than two hours from the time I walked through the door. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. Great service very fast and with a smile! Not to mention amazing prices! I walked out with 2 pairs of glasses and an eye exam for less than $300! read more

I only have 1 star because the review won't allow 0 stars. I would never recommend this place. I went in to get sunglasses. No body offered to help, my husband and I looked at frames for over an hour, we asked for some assistance the young lady showed me 2 pair which looked ridiculous and walked away. After finding a frame I really liked I waited 2 weeks for them to come in. While being fitted the tech chipped the lens on the inside and didn't say anything I noticed when I got home and called the store on the next working day. Long story short 3 months later still unhappy with the replacement pair and they refuse to do a $99.00 refund. After calling the corporate office the manager was supposed to do a refund and still refuses. The sales not worth the aggregation. I will go to lenscrafters next time. read more

Run don't walk. They say they can do something with no problem and than 6 weeks later still no glasses an it took an act of congress to get money and insurance reimbursed. The insurance company had to call an threaten them for me to go somewhere else for glasses. They keep saying they have to get approval from corporate office and the insurance company told them they knew better. Stanton Optical than agree to reimburse me and the insurance on the spot. Free eye exam after you pay $29.00 and order your glasses which took 6 weeks to get. Also was lied to about time to come in. After 6 weeks of not haring from them wee finally went in. They do NOT call when glasses are ready. We had gone back to get a copy of the rx so we could fill it elsewhere. Not only were the poly carbonate lenses $20 less they told us they were recommended not required as Stanton had sad. Anyway the eye mart turned out to be much less and the service was wonderful. I will never go back. I've been trying to get my prescription from this location for a very long time. I called over 10 times, phone rings and cuts out after two rings. I called from multiple phones. I finally got through to someone who told me they could fax me my prescription, give them my fax number didn't get anything for three hours. Called back and woman told me I could not get it because it would violate their HIPPA policy. Call back ask for a manager, Adam answers, I expressed to him my frustration regarding not being able to get through to anyone at the Jensen store and that I had been waiting for hours to receive my prescription via fax. He told me that this is the Stuart location, so I ask him to please transfer me because I can't get through to anyone at Jensen. He then tells me well actually there is only one store for Stuart and Jensen. I guess he thought it be fun to mock me after telling him I had a horrible experience trying to reach them and get my prescription. He finally tells me that I definitely could have gotten my prescription but I would just have to sign a HIPPA release form. By this time I am no longer near a fax so decide to go into the store. They keep me waiting for an hour and told me they lost my prescription because the doctors old-fashioned and does everything manually but that they can offer me another eye exam. I refuse and tell them I want a full refund. So after disappearing for 10 minutes they come back with lo and behold my prescription. This place is a zoo. Rude unprofessional staff. I just had my first exam at Stanton Optical and was very impressed with their service and professionalism. I only waited a few minutes to be taken to an exam room. Dr. Lund did a thorough exam of my eyes and answered all of my questions . Prior to my exam, I was greeted by Donisha and her smile was contagious. She made me feel very comfortable and took great care of me while escorting me through the process and a brief test which was done by Monica. Monica was excellent as well. After the exam, I was introduced to Ryan, the optician, who worked with me to pick out the best fitting classes and lenses. He was extremely patient and didn't drive me to the most expensive option, but to the one that best fit me and my budget. He then took my old glasses in back and tuned them up. I didn't have to ask for that, he just did it. I was very impressed with the attention that he gave me. I will be telling my friends about Stanton Optical and continue to do business with them in the future. read more

I have recently visited the location that is in Jensen Beach and not Stuart like stated online which made it a little more difficult to picture where it was. I called Stanton Optical to find some pricing information, appointment information and where exactly it was located. I spoke to a sweet young girl named Rachel she answered the many questions I had very polite, offered to set me up for an appointment for that same day if I was available and gave me great landmarks for me to find the store much easier. I came in later that day and was politely greeted by the same girl who answered the phone. I was comforted even more at the fact that when I stated my name she remembers exactly who I was and that I spoke with her on the phone. She had brought me in the back to sign in and do a preliminary test for the doctor which she did herself. She was very interested in hearing all the issues and noting them for the doctor which made me feel that it was going to be a very thorough exam. When she introduced me to the doctor it was a young but clean cut man that I have to say gave me one of the best eye exams of my life, and I've been wearing glasses all my life. After walking out of the eye exam I walked up to the front of the store where they have all their glasses on display. When I was walking up to the front from the doctors office I was a little disappointed seeing a white bald man texting on his phone and not showing any attention that I walked out. I walked over to the women's section still unacknowledged by the gentlemen. As soon as I looked over to what was an in house lab Rachel came right out to see how my exam went and if I would like some help choosing frames. I have a very hard time making decisions so I'm glad she was there and giving me her honest opinion. She had asked to take my current glasses and check what type of progressives I have now. She explained that it was important to keep me in either the same type of progressive or something similar to stay as comfortable as possible because I had stated to her early in the preliminary test that I had got glasses and a different place and couldn't get use to them. After a quick moment she comes back out and explains that I was in a very expensive lens but switching to anything different would make me feel very uncomfortable and I would have a hard time getting use to my new pair if I were to even get use to them. I felt at more at ease because I wasn't being pressured into buying very expensive glasses, more or less just explaining and educating me on the current glasses that I love! After sitting down and her going thru close to 20 different frames with me, I found two that I absolutely loved! She had observed everything I had on my glasses like transition and a glare coating and recommended that I keep all options the same because it's what I'm used to, what I loved thru it all was Rachel didn't pressure me one time that I had to get them even though I wouldn't go without it. After getting to a price that had seemed Hugh she reminded me that it will be Buy One Get One Free and then I had remembered how much the one pair I was wearing had cost 3 years ago. At that point I had no problem paying that much because I felt like I was in good hands. One thing I kept observing were two men standing behind a desk up front on the phones or just talking. I had asked Rachel who they were and she stated there names and that they are Frame Specialists. I was taken back a little that someone for the doctor was doing a job of two people that we're available. Also, that Rachel kept being interrupted to do other things or answer questions on how to do things while trying to help me. She apologized the times she did have to walk away and gave me her undivided attention. She explained the time frame on the glasses that I had purchased and why they would take that amount of time and I completed understood. Receiving a phone call sooner then expected I was happy to hear my glasses were ready. When I came into pick them up, I saw the same gentlemen standing behind the counter texting on his phone. I was greeted by a lady named Stephanie. I told her I was hear to pick up my glasses and she said no problem and she would be happy to help me. We started to try the first pair on and she wanted to make sure everything was lined up and correct, she continued to ask me questions on the vision and if I needed adjustments. At this moment I see Rachel come around the corner who had a great smile on her face and stated she was happy to see me and asked how I was doing. She stood by for a moment to make sure all was well before having to go do something. Stephanie finished adjusting my glasses and she did it a few times on both pairs till It was how I wanted them. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Stanton Optical. A little disappointed that a few people didn't seem interested in there customers or jobs but by the people I did encounter were truly amazing and caring read more

I went to get glasses for my 5 year old daughter the week before school started and they were so busy....but they took care of us the entire time we were there doing their best to accommodate with all of the customers coming in and calling. Elizabeth was so great with my kids while she was giving my 5 year old her eye tests...and incredibly patient! Kathryn the store manager was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and was a pleasure to work with. Lastly, Juan the frame specialist took great care of us during the process of getting 6 pairs of glasses. I would recommend, really good service for the price! read more

I was given an eye exam appointment when I arrived to the store I was told to wait the doctor was on his way after waiting 45 min I left giving my cell number to call me I will be in the area and will come as soon as they call. I never got a call back. I called to set another appointment for 3:00 I was taken in at 4:00 when I took so much time to pic two pr of glasses I was told the price would be for both glasses over 600+ dollars the frames were 79.00 each. outrageous! after spending so much time in this store I ordered one pair. the glasses I have are made with verilux lenses I was assured that the lenses were just as good. when I went to pick up my glasses the vision was distorted I was told to take them and get used to them that its late in the day (2:pm) and I should try them one earlier in the day! my vision was a blur when I would turn my head they kept telling me there was nothing wrong and I would have to get use to it, I never had to get used to a pr of glasses. then the girl said you have verilux lenses there the best! and they are also expensive, I was told the lenses I was given were to be just as good but were not. I was told when I pay for the glasses in full a doctor can look at the to see if they are correct. the glasses are still there. I don't want them. NEVER had a problem like this before!!! read more

I went to Stanton for my first time ever getting glasses and having an eye exam. I was so worried about the price but they were so flexible and gave me a great deal on the frames and lenses. They had a really good sale too. Two pair cost me 150 and that was including the scratch protection and warranty on both. It was so quick and everybody was really friendly. Even the eye exam was fast but thorough and they had a good selection (nothing really name brand but quality frames nonetheless). They made sure the frames were perfectly fitted and it was an overall great experience. I would definitely go again and recommend it to anyone's looking for a great eyewear experience! read more

I wrote a review previously and it is not here so I will try again. I wil never go back to this establishment. First, the $69 for 2 pair and free exam is not true. They built in the cost of the exam into the glasses and separated on receipt that you did indeed pay $45 for the exam. My 2 pair of glasses cost over $400. I had to go back 7 times as the lenses were either flawed or was an incorrect script. The examiner was rude.. The help was rude... After picking up my 2nd pair and noticed that script was also wrong and very badly fitted into the frames decied to cut my losses and will see another Optometrist in the future. I now wish after reading reviews that mirror my exact experience with them that I would have saved myself of dealing with their scams ...long story short they handed me frames that had chunks of the frame missing (gouge marks) and a script that was exactly the outdated one (and I was two years overdue) then my sons glasses in 24 hours the frame had bubbles and he was in an air conditioned classroom. I received a call from school telling me the lenses kept falling out. I had both pairs less than a whole day and they told me give it time. I allowed them to adjust the frames, and two hours later same thing. Manager was beyond rude and brought up my son being autistic claiming that autistic children can be rough and that he damaged them and refused to even look at the product to see the manufacturing was faulty. She then told me "good luck getting your bank to refund" but my bank was amazing and credited me in the call. I had recently went to Stanton Optical this year and was happy to have an exam right away. The cost was decent for my 2 pairs of glasses with the transition lens due to my bad vision. I also wanted contact and told them I needed it before my wedding this November. When the first trial came in I got one call and came in to try them on and I could feel the lens ready to pop out of my eyes. The Doctor also made a comment of well I knew this brand wouldn't work for you. So he ordered another trial from another manufacturer. By this time I was busy planning a wedding and again only got one call to say the trial lens are in but by the time I was able to go and get them they had sent them back to the manufacturer. When I asked why they replied they send trial back after 30days. Now a call stating that they do that or when they are about ready to send them back would have been nice. Well they ordered the trials again and said they will be here in 2 weeks. Now 2 weeks goes by no call and it is 3 weeks to my wedding. I spoke to an office manager to see what is going on with my contacts. She stated she will e mail me after she finds out. No e-mail is ever sent so I call back 5 days later and talk to another person that will get to the bottom of things and will let me know in an hour when the manager gets in and I don't get a call back. I then call back and get well your contacts are on back order. I am so glad I saved some old contacts and they will do for the day of my wedding but needless to say I don't think I will be going back to Stanton. read more

This place is horrible. I had a first thing appointment for my wife and myself. One hour later they took me in. After complaining they took my wife in two hours late. Because we complained and they took my wife in out of order she received somebody else's prescription. I spent $1,500.00 for glasses, their buy one get one free is a lie. You get the frames free only. They charge you for the exam and only credit half of it back to you if you buy glasses. It has been over a month and they still cannot get the prescriptions correct. They took our Costa Del Mar glasses to add new prescription lenses and destroyed the frames, lost the original lenses and will not back up their work because they made us sign a waiver. We have been to their office way too many times and all we get is lip service but no actual service. The manager is never at the office and never responds to us as promised. At this point I just want my money back but cannot even get that as it must be done by the manager Guissella Grieco who is never their surely because she must be putting out fires all over South Florida. Not one single person mentioned that bifocals were extras, to the tune of $95. per pair.The manager said the 45. that I paid for the free exam would be credited to the purchase of glasses,buyl the time we were finished, my coast was over $230.00.I called the store 3 times the day of the purchase, and no one would return the calls, So the following Monday I returned to the store to pick up glasses and for an explanation on the bill. The manager set us down at her desk, meanwhile she was singing at the top of her voice, she didn't seem to care, or explain the problems. We took the glasses and left. I have since contacted the Better Business B. I'm not looking for any monies, just want others to be aware, we have a lot of senior citizens in the area, and I can only imaginewhat happens to then. read more
