Great customer service experience! I walked in to the store and Jasmin went above and beyond by helping me during my visit. I was there to see the new frames they had and she also helped me with my glasses that were missing a screw. Jasmin was very kind and professional during my visit and I will be back for my next exam soon. read more

My husband called ahead and specifically asked whether Stanton could put his lenses into frames that were purchased elsewhere. He was told that it would be no problem, there would be no charge, and that walk-ins were welcome. Based on that information, we made the trip to the store today. When we arrived, there was only one customer and three employees standing around. We were then told that they would not switch the lenses unless we purchased frames from their store. Apparently, we had been "misinformed" by their call center. What a complete waste of our time and a very disappointing example of customer service. If your call center is giving potential customers information about store policies, that information should actually be accurate and honored. Fortunately, Walmart was right around the corner and completed the job without any issue. Stanton really needs to get its policies and communication in line so customers aren't sent to a store based on information that turns out to be incorrect. After this experience, I will not be doing business here again. read more

Called to ask if they could fix my glasses. The 2?girls working today were super sweet and fixed me right up. I will definitely bring coming here again read more

The ladies were very kind and helpful. Went through all my options for best pricing and value. Lenses seem a bit to strong but was satisfied knowing they will stand behind them if things don't straighten themselves out in a week or two. read more

So I loved Stanton Optical when I went in 2023 but this year for some reason I have had two exams and still my glasses are not correct. I can't see and it's blurry.... Still having headaches and it's devastating because they were really expensive. The reason I'm brining this to everyones attention is this: I talked to three other people who have had issues with their glasses and two were very PC and didn't mention the name of the place so out of curiosity I had to ask. Hey was it Stanton Optical and low and behold yes yes it was. So here's the deal. Went in for my exam and I felt rushed but I did it and kept having to ask them to show me 1 then 2 then again because they would flip so quick my eyes wouldn't focus! Found my frames and it was over $1200.00 it seemed like it was nearly $1400 for two pairs... Well here's the thing. The year before I had NO PROBLEMS!!! They were great but this year the price had gone up over $400 bucks and there are issues, issues and more issues. Wore the first pair and I felt like I was going to fall over and things looked so strange and dimensional - in fact I was weeding and did loose my balance, It was challenging to go up stairs and I was not comfortable driving because the distance was all screwed up. So I tried the 2nd pair thinking well I have to give them a try but had same issues. It was suggested that I try them for a few weeks to a month so I did and they just were not working. Went for a second exam and found out that the prescription was off and needed to be adjusted. So I had to give them the glasses back so they could send them back and re-do them. You would think that a fix like this would have a priority but they seemed to take longer to receive than the first order. I went in to pick them up and was so excited but when I tried them on they still seemed off but I was told to go home and try them. Well it's been way too long and I should have done this like 2 months ago but these are blurry and give me headaches and I can't see. This is ridiculous. I want my money back and to go to another place because this hurts my head and eyes and makes daily activities challenging. I've actually found that when I take the glasses of now my eye sight is worse than it was before. I can't live like this. I can't see. Why did I pay for an exam to have it be wrong then a second exam. Do an eye exam Pick glasses Receive glasses Enjoy your new eye sight! 4 steps and we are done.... NOW in 2025 here we are and it's a hassle.... you should NOT have to Do 2nd eye exam let alone a 3rd. So now here we sit and I've been so frustrated I haven't called back yet to schedule another appointment because I'm not sure it's worth the time and effort to go for a 3rd appointment only to wait and be disappointed. Side note: I found an old pair of glasses which was about 4 prescriptions ago and they are clearer and almost better than these. Is there a resolve.... I'm certainly hoping there is. And sure I haven't called them yet but you know that saying life just gets in the way? And should I have to do a 3rd eye exam? I should have just been able to put the first ones on and walk out with a smile and a see ya next year! So there's my rant - I do not suggest going to them and if I didn't have to try to fix a really expensive mistake that is not my mistake I wouldn't go back there! The in store staff is nice and I didn't have any issues with them!!! If you choose to use them I wish you luck and hope you get good results! read more

I got a pair of sunglasses recently and accidentally sat on them. They were so bent and deformed, I thought they were beyond saving for sure. I went into Stanton Optical this morning before work, and Gabby did amazing work on them. She had them looking perfect again in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend this business!! read more

I called to make sure that they could fix my designer glasses went to sunglass hunt they informed me that they don't have the proper parts. I called Stanton Optical and Jorge greeted me so. As I walked in the store. Customer service was impressive took him literally two minutes. I truly appreciate the atmosphere of the store as well, very calm and welcoming. Thank you read more

Update....I received my glasses and everything was very blurry. I told them immediately and they said I should "give it a couple weeks". I did that and nothing changed so I went back and they said they had measured me incorrectly. They did new measurements and sent the glasses back. Just went today to pick up 2nd pair and they are still blurry so now I have to go back next week for another "recheck". Still can't see, still out of a lot of money! read more

Absolutely would not recommend going here. took off work to go in and pick up my glasses after 2 weeks, when they said they'd be ready, only to find out they haven't been made yet and then have to still be shipped to the store. Would have been nice to be contacted with such a significant delay. They weren't able to tell me when they will be ready. Completely unprofessional. read more

Five stars! I booked my appointment today online for 5PM and got three pairs of glasses by 6:30PM. Staff was helpful and extremely nice. It was affordable too! I got three pairs of glasses for $300, I'm so glad I went here!! As a college student it was really convenient that I got my glasses the same day as my prescription. Amazing customer service! I brought in my glasses that I had purchased online because one of the arms was very crooked. I didn't even know if they could fix it, but was immediately helped when I walked in and fixed, tightened, and cleaned my glasses! The employee that helped me was so sweet making sure that they fit exactly how I wanted them. I will definitely be going back and recommended to all my friends who wear glasses. read more

My husband and I were recommended by my sister in law to go here. We switched eye care because she was so in love with her experience and couldn't say anything better about it! We got to work with Jaime and his team, super authentic, friendly and helpful. We bought more than we intended because he made it easy and affordable for our family. Also our glasses came within a week of our first appointment. 3 times faster than my previous eye care provider. read more

I went on Saturday around noon, there was a man and woman there working they were both great. I was a little weirded out that there's no actual doctor there, but the person on camera (forgot exactly what his position was but he gave the eye text) was very nice as well and made me feel comfortable even though this process was totally new and different. They have a nice variety of glasses but I was there for contacts. I would recommend this place. I was in and out with my new prescription in under an hour. read more

I'm updating my review because I promised the guy there I would stop by when I'm looking to buy another pair of glasses. The service was okay, but the cost just to put in prescription lenses was absolutely ridiculous. I'll go here to have my contact and lenses exams but not to buy glasses. Way too expensive. It's 2024 we shouldn't be paying 300+ for some basic glasses. read more

I bought 5 pairs of glasses at Stanton optical over the last three years at Chico California I had to have a warranty on a frame (the ear pieces were separating) that I bought an extended warranty for that pair of glasses and they told me the extended warranty does not cover your frames which I had purchased about 3 months earlier "OK not a problem" I went ahead and paid the $16.00 deductible to get a replacement frame the person at the store told me they had 61 in stock and they would be here pretty quick which I thought was reasonable and that was October 3rd they told me it would be up to 10 days I never heard anything after the 10 days I contacted them and they told me they were working on my order and they would let me know if there was more than a seven day delay I have still not heard from him it's now October 29th and still the same thing when I check on my order it's being fulfilled and we will contact you if there's more than seven days delay never hear anything from them called customer service they said they would put a priority on it that was two weeks ago still nothing from Stanton optical I'm very disappointed in their customer service happy buying frames from them and glasses due to their reasonable price but don't expect any customer service after you walk out the door. read more

Glasses are cheap and they don't fit comfortably And the idea of two pair for $90 is a joke.

Walked in to get my glasses fixed and was greeted with a smile! They were attentive and fast.

I went in once for an eye exam and now am receiving unsolicited text messages after trying everything to unsubscribe. Terrible customer service read more

Legitimate service. Quick. Easy to book appointment. Great selection of glasses. Customer service was awesome. Friendly Doctor who you Skype and do vision test with. I was overall satisfied with the service. I paid cash with no insurance got free eye exam and upgraded to Bogo ray ban frames, UV, SV, Polly and Hc protection. I added lens warranty on both pair of glasses and my total was $659! That's a great deal considering I paid $400 at north valley eye care for one pair and that was with insurance. Jaime was helpful and listened to what I was searching for. The check in is very warm welcoming and friendly atmosphere . My Ray-Bans came out awesome, Thank you for providing great and affordable service in the 530! read more

I posted a negative review two days ago and was told to call a certain phone so they could resolve the problem. Had a fantastic interaction with Jasmine today, I had an 11:30 appointment and showed up early just to drop off my broken frame glasses and was prepared to do so and come back. I am in Paradise and had to drive to Chico and was prepared for coming back. She saw my dilemma and said she would look for acceptable frames for replacement. The next thing I know she finds a frame that would work and I asked if I could come the next day to get them but she said "I can do this within 15 minutes". I was surprised and happy and in about 10 minutes I had new frames, a free case and paid my bill. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and is a big "PLUS" at this store. I am happy beyond belief. Thank you Jasmine. Ron Basham read more

I made an appointment for my wife and two children to get an eye exam done. on the switch board for this place the operator assured me they took our insurance. we arrive, and still I make sure they take our insurance, and they say,"don't worry we will take care of you." all said and done they didn't take our insurance and wanted to charge us $25 per exam unless we bought glasses. total for glasses? close to $700 total. even though the glasses were BO-GO. I opted t check with peach tree optical sand they do take our insurance. but Stanton would not release our exam results without paying them $100 first. then suggested that I go get my exams redone at peach tre. Stanton's is a joke, with car salesman as customer service agents!!! read more

Not a good experience today. My teledoc eye exam yielded no prescription because they could not get my vision to 20/20. During the "remote" eye exam, the technician on the other end was very hard to understand (he was Indian) and that combined with my hearing problem led to confusion and not being able to understand what he was saying to me. The Chico office offered to redo the exam with another tech, however, during the introductions with the new tech, she too proved to be very hard to understand (Asian accent), so I opted not to have the exam re-done. I did however go over the cost of glasses and was very surprised at the cost. The $79 eye exam and 2 pair glasses included is just a way to get you in the door. If I were to have gotten a prescription and picked glasses, my price would have been $385 for 1 pair of glasses. I was disappointed with all the time that was wasted and will not go back. The people at this location however, were very professional and very nice. It's just the way the business is set up that is not appropriate. Lesson-learned. read more

I have bought my glasses from Stanton Optical for years now, from the Sacramento office, and was so pleased to see that they opened a branch in Chico. I always had my exams at Stanton, got my prescriptions from Stanton, and bought my glasses at Stanton. I need reading glasses, computer glasses (mid-range), and far-range glasses which are incorporated into the progressive lens glasses I always buy. I have always been very satisfied with the glasses, the prescriptions, and the service. This time, I needed to go to a medical eye doctor because something was wrong with my eye. So while I was there, they checked my eyes and gave me new prescriptions which I took to Stanton to fill. Stanton was great about making the new glasses, got them to me in a short amount of time, and the prices were great! But, I learned my lesson about getting a prescription anywhere but Stanton. The prescriptions from the medical eye doctor are not nearly as accurate for my needs as the prescriptions that Stanton Optical had provided for me in the past. The quality, service and prices at Stanton Optical are the best, and I have been to many Opthalmologists and Opticians. And I definitely agree with the other Yelp reviews; Jasmine gives awesome service! read more
