Not happy for several reasons. Just getting an appt with a real, live Dr was difficult. I actually had to argue for one. You see, the exam was not for me, but for a disabled guy who happens to be deaf. They wanted to do an exam on a tele-conference. Excuse me, but he can't HEAR! He also has come cognitive disabilities. That will not work! Next, their 2 for $69 deal is a total scam. They had 4-5 pain of frames in 2-3 colors each. These were clearly picked out to be the ugliest glasses you could find. Just about what I expected. While waiting I actually picked out the ugliest frames I could find for my brother-in-law as a joke. Ended up they were the frames for the "special." Don't get me wrong, there is a time and place for them. They would look great with my clown suit. Ended up getting 2 pair of bifocals with a cost of $350.00. Not a great price at all. I was told it would take 7-10 days to get them in. It has been 10 days and they are not ready. Now they are saying they told me 10-14 days, which they did not. But what has me upset is their attitude. No one will admit that they could have possibly have told me wrong. They act like I am automatically at fault. No one has apologized for any misunderstanding. Well this is the worst place honestly that I've ever been to in my life! I would not even recommend this place to my worst enemy! I've had so many problems with them and unfortunately I had signed up for that three-year plan where I wouldn't have to pay for an eye exam for three years and that was probably the worst mistake ever because my first experience was very terrible with them well then this year when I went back for my second time to give them another chance it was even worse! About 75 to 80% of the staff is very rude and anytime you call they never know anything there's been times I was transferred to three or four people. I would not waste anytime at this place and not only that but both times I went to get my exam I was in the store for 2 to 3 hours and that because I didn't even purchase any glasses. I even purchased my own shipping label from USPS to send to them so I would not have to wait long to get my contacts because I only live two hours away and whenever they ship them with UPS it would take about a week to get them and I wanted to get them sooner and it still took them about four days to ship them out after calling them twice and I still haven't even got them yet. And I have spent over $300 in contacts bc initially they took so long to get my contacts in I called 1800 contacts and literally got them in two days for the same price. I wish I could have gave them 0 stars and it's not to be rude and ugly their service is just absolutely terrible. read more

I went in today for the "free" eye exam and "2 glasses for $69". The lady tried charging me $301 before I was even seen!!!! At the end of the appointment I ended up paying $95.00 for ONE pair of glasses and an exam. It clearly states on the HUGE sign outside, "FREE EYE EXAM, 2 PAIRS OF GLASSES FOR $69.00". If you're going to put a huge fucking sign out front for advertisement, you would think that's what you were going to get. This was an all over TERRIBLE experience. The eye exam was fine. However, I was told that my glasses would be in by today (10 days after my appointment). I had to super glue my old glasses because they broke. I am going to be out of state for a week so I was excited about having my new glasses before I leave. Today I called Stanton Optical and was told that the woman who helped me lied to me. My glasses will not be in until the end of this next week. They said they can mail them, but I may be headed back home when they arrive. I was also told that even though it is their fault, they can not overnight them. I will never go back to Stanton Optical after I get my glasses. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars! Horrible! I came in last year for my annual eye test to get my prescription for my contacts/glasses. I saw a doctor and he was wonderful. This year I walked in, there's no doctor, and you have to use telemedicine. The place also didn't have any of my personal history, old prescription, old contact type...nothing they did last year! There was no patient history or record, even though I was their patient. I had to call Sam's Club Optical to confirm my actual prescription/contact type as well. At least they keep your information on file. I never would have imagined an eye doctor not keeping your information on file or else I would have been prepared. I wasn't opposed to trying telemedicine, but then my prescription came back drastically different. I put in the new contacts and they were incorrect. They had to message the doctor to let him know. He sent it back and it was even worse. Multiple tries later, I just requested to please get my old prescription written. We had to message back and forth via a tablet for 45 minutes. I would tell people to go anywhere else to get their eyes examined! I never even talked to a doctor. He diagnosed me with something I'd never been diagnosed with before either. No explanation. Nothing. Just the technician telling me an, "oh by the way!" Type of thing. I'll probably go get them checked somewhere else, again, just to be sure. I told the technician it was the worst experience I'd ever had. Please save yourself the time and money and go see a real doctor to ensure you get good care. read more

My husband and I went on a sunday to each get our eyes checked. I have never been more unsatisfied with the whole procedure. Very unfriendly staff and most have no clue of what to do. Was told my glasses would be ready in approximately 2 weeks. Called on Monday and the girl my husband talked to said she would call back with information. I call and the same girl answered and said they have been received but they cant find them. To top it all off my glasses were outrageous and we said not to order my husbands contacts and they proceeded to do so anyways. Please don't risk your health! The people in this place are completely incompetent. I called to make sure they were implementing health & safety guidelines and they assured me they were, but I got there and it was all a lie. First of all, the staff there wasn't wearing masks, or had them on over their chins & I had to ask them several times to pull their masks up and wear them properly. The girl that kept coming in during my exam to adjust things an inch away from my face had hers on under her nose. Then I went out to try on glasses and they were letting all these people in without masks, and they were trying on glasses and putting them back. I asked the lady if she cleaned the glasses off and she just shrugged. There were maskless children running around touching everything. We expressed our disgust and concern about this to them and they refused to do anything about it. My daughter liked a pair of glasses there so I just tried to pay for them and leave as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, I figured out that Eyemart Express had the same pair for $200 cheaper. The whole thing was a waste of time and money, and on top of that they put my the lives of me and my family in danger. read more

You dont ever see a doctor! The exam is done through a computer and a tv screen. I had to have my eyes rechecked and had to pay full price to discover I needed bifocules which could have been discovered if i had actually seen a doctor and not some man on a tv screen. read more

My reason for going to Stanton Optical was the big bargain price of 2 pairs for $69 with a free eye exam. Yeah, RIGHT!!! Not only was I not able to get glasses for that price or the free exam, but it's been 3 months and my glasses or my contacts are still not ready! It is not the exam or the optometrist, but the personnel who make the glasses and the people taking the measurements up in the front. They lack training, communication, and customer service. I purchased my glasses on 01/06/2018. Today is 02/12/2018 and I still do not have my glasses. The first time they came back they had the wrong lenses in them so they sent them back to fix them and that was 15 days ago. 36 days and still no glasses. I called Saturday to check on them and they told me they would be ready that afternoon or Sunday morning and they would call me. No one called and today is Monday so I just called and now they say they will be ready today after 5:30. No communication and poor service. The ads are VERY misleading too!!!! Went to the certain location and management there was was outrageous. The manager (I assume) did not acknowledge my existence while I was in the store even though she looked right at me. She seemed to be having a bad day because she she was acting rude and nasty towards other customers and her employees. As I was about to walk out and leave I was confronted by Amber who was gracious enough to help me and make me feel welcome. She help me with all my needs and got me to where I needed to be and she also apologize for the long wait. I would not recommend this location and if you do decide to go to this establishment I highly recommend you to ask for Miss Amber. With nasty rude management like that makes an establishment look non-professional. The manager there should be demoted or even terminated in my honest opinion. I was absolutely impressed with the customer service. It didn't even feel like a doctor's office. The eye doctor that I went to last time was going to charge me $230 for a contact exam. I searched on the internet and thankfully I found Stanton Optical. It was only $79! As a side note, if you need just glasses, the eye exam is free. Not sure how long that will last. AJ, the General Manager, was enthusiastic about his company. I was wondering how in the world can they have such low prices? He told me that the founders build their offices debt free. Now that explains it. I was going to shop around for some contacts online. AJ asked where do I normally go? I told him 1800 Contacts. He said we can price match. I was shocked that they're able to compete with online companies. 1800 Contacts was cheaper, but he price matched them! Also, for only $20 more you can join the vision club. I received an extra 20% off my one year supply of contacts and I got 2 free eye exams for 2 years! So, in all I spent only $256! The eye exam alone with my old doctor would have costed $230! Terrible customer service, to start once you come into the place no one acknowledges you the place is very confusing you don't know were to start, the staff does not make you feel welcome They don't even smile or greet you at all and the staff looks very confuse and unhappy I am sorry but, I have 20 years in the customer service field and I was expecting something better at his place. This was not my first choice but, it was an emergency and all the other places we know of did not have openings. Another thing the place is really dirty the floors smell bad I totally regret bringing my husband into this place. My granddaughter and I went here only because we had not had a chance to go during week to my regular place. Well exam went fine but when we got to choosing our glasses it says you get a second free which is not true, my granddaughter choose here glasses and ordered her contact lenses They wanted to charge her almost 400, she has always paid 80 for 6 months of contacts and 50 for glasses, well she didn't get her free pair of glasses and they went down a little on the contacts but still paid over 200 plus the exam On mine I ordered mine with a lot of extras like lenses that change color, invisible bifocals, thin lenses and showed them the ones I was wearing so that they could see how thin I needed them I have always paid 400 for all of this well they wanted over 600, when I argued that they started getting rude but finally went down some, When mine were picked up and I looked at them They were way thicker than mine I took back and the girl was so rude, she wanted to charge me to upgrade them to a thinner lens I argued that they had charged me for thin lens and asked to talk to the manager, it was finally agreed that they would change them, when I went to pick up the girl was extra rude and even rolled her eyes when asked to adjust cause they were too loose She adjusted and not even a thank you I asked for my hard cases back to put my glasses back in and they didn't know what happened to them and they didn't have any so now I have my glasses in a blue silky little bag Will never go back and don't expect them to get me the hard cases even thou they said When they got some they would call me. This place was one of the worst experiences I have had with both customer service and the over all satisfaction of the service we received. My daughter has had the same prescription for many years and was told that her prescription changed so much that she is suddenly unable to receive ' normal' contacts though she was seeing fine with the prescription she came in with. We are unable to see if this is true or not because the 'trial' pair she is supposed to get when you receive the exam had to be ordered and 3 weeks later we are still waiting..... this place is such a joke and I would recommend it to no one. The employees at the Odessa office are rude and seem more interested in what is going on with their personal life than the customers. When we were waiting another customer came in with the same problem ( had the same prescription her whole life and suddenly it went up) and could not see out of the contacts prescribed for her. They had to redo her whole exam. Makes me wonder if they are not prescribing correctly and are messing up peoples eyesight. If I could give this place less than a 1 I would. read more

My husband and I had an appointment at 12 and we got there a little early to see if maybe we could get out early. They wrote us down for 11:45 am. There was 2 girls working in the eye exam area. It seemed like one girl was doing everything and the other one was acting like she didn't want to to be there. About an hour later they finally called my husband back to the exam room and they did his exam. Then I got called back to an exam room like 1:20 pm. When I walked in the room there was no one in there. We had to do our exams through a video conference call. I didn't like that at all I like to be face to face with my doctors. When I came out we still waited another 30 minutes for then to give us our contacts and for us to pay. When I finally asked how much longer one girl said 'it's almost ready we have a new system and it's taking awhile'. She said they needed to still put our insurance information in the computer, my husband asked if that should have been done already. The girl who had been doing everything said it should have already been done. I saw the girl who was just sitting there playing with her Apple Watch. We went year ago and both got glasses and contacts and had awesome service, this time we were both there for just contacts and we were there for 2 and a half hours. read more

We originally had an appointment somewhere else, and we decided to stop by and just check it out since they just opened, and we literally cancelled our old appointments. Don't bother going to this place. They fitted the wrong lens on my glasses which had me dizzy, light headed and with headaches for two days. When I went in to explain this to them they didn't let me explain my symptoms nor did they check my lens or my eyes. The doctor simply told me to come back in 2 weeks if I still had problems then. I went in the following day and spoke to the general manager. I told him I didn't want him to fix the issue anymore but rather just have a refund and he left me waiting 15 mins while he ignored my request and got my glasses fixed even though I told him not to. I refused to wear the glasses and now my eye sight is worse than it was when I went in. The general manager of this store told me I had to follow the procedure of calling customer service to make a complaint even though I did this face to face in store with him and when it was their fault. They refused to give me any other managers contact details. Told me their field manager was unavailable on the weekends. Customer service is now closed and I have nothing to use to go about my daily activities. I paid in full in cash but I have to wait up to 3 weeks for a check refund. They are incompetent and all they did was tell me to call customer service and argue their point and procedures with me. While the other employees and doctor laughed at me, amongst each other. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received! Even my eye exam was rushed and the doctor didn't even give my eyes enough time to focus between each lens when testing my eyes. read more

Worst optical store EVERRRRRR!!! Requested a reorder on lenses on July 28th and just received my order yesterday. Took almost 3 weeks. Asked employee MONICA if the optical accepted BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD insurance she said she didn't know. Then I asked if I had the warranty she said she didn't know. Obviously this employee doesn't know her stuff. Everything I asked she would say she didn't know. She was very rude the moment I walked in and obviously has the time to gossip to her co-workers about customers she dislikes. After picking up my glasses yesterday, I noticed the lens to my left eye does not fit into the frame therefore it's completely off and it's been giving me headaches and I feel nauseous. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER step foot in that place and I DO NOT recommend taking your prescription or scheduling an appointment at this optical/company. They are unorganized and take too long to receive a shipment. read more
