I called Pierce County Handyman for reinstalling 4 outside corner sections of baseboard and adjusting 2 transition pieces that had been installed improperly previously. They scheduled me for a visit about a week later so an estimate could be provided. Then a day before the scheduled visit, they asked to reschedule it due to a personal reason. I agreed to reschedule. They showed up on the second appointment and provided me with a service quote and a proposed service date. I got back to them 2 days later confirming the service and was informed the previously proposed date was no longer available. They then proposed a new date in the morning which I agreed to it. 1 day before their schedule service date, they call asking to reschedule from morning to afternoon, which I also agreed to. Then on the date of service, they texted me 2 hours before their scheduled start time to attempt to reschedule for a different date. I let them know that I had made plans for the work to be done that day and that if not possible, then to cancel the whole thing. They weren't able to come out and the service was canceled at my request. A total of 3 weeks and a half went by with multiple service days agreed to and subsequently rescheduled on Pierce County Handyman's request. In the end, no work was done...

Also, as women, I can't tell you how many times we've both had contractors talk down to us, and that was never the case with Matt. He was always friendly, professional, and respectful. And he even brought treats for our dog, who adores him! We hired Matt to help renovate part of our detached garage into a home gym. When he initially came out to see the space so he could give an accurate quote, he took about an hour so that we could talk through ideas and what he thought was feasible. His quote for the work was incredibly reasonable, and the quality of the work is stellar. He also kept the space clean as he worked, so we never needed to worry about there being random screws or sharp objects left around that we or our dog might step on. He removed a garage door, partially reframed one of the garage walls that was out of whack, installed several windows and a new door (and even picked them all up from Lowe's so that we didn't have to figure out how to fit them into our car!), and replaced the insulation in the space as needed. We opted to paint the space and install the vinyl plank flooring ourselves, but once we finished that up, Matt returned to install all of the trim, and even special ordered a piece of flooring for near the door, so that it matched. They had to borrow jack-hammer(?) to break and remove the old remnant and it was a very difficult work because of all the rods and spikes.
