Let me start this review by admitting that I avoided Beer Boys for my entire bar career, lasting 6…read moreyears. I must admit that I was wrong, particularly since the renovation of the bar. This is the only place in Wilkes-Barre with such a huge craft draft selection with over 30 on tap, and rotating. I was in heaven, lost in delirium. Oddly or not oddly if you know this city, Beer Boys doesn't attract the typical hipster bourgeois, often pretentious craft beer crowd. Rather, it remains mostly a locals bar with a college flair. It's filled with Coughlin graduates, King's students and North Enders. The prices are more than fair, and often criminally cheap for the quality of the beers. During the warm season, the patio is open and welcoming. Without a shadow of a doubt, the best place for craft drafts in Wilkes-Barre.

My friend and I both felt as great as the food and architecture are, the service was outstanding. Not only did our hostess and waitress demonstrate a conviction and pride of the brand that they represented but they were friendly and engaging. If I lived 100 miles closer. I'd be there at least once a week to expand my waistline. We were also greeted by insistent manager, whose name I shamefully do not recall. She also demonstrated pride in the establishment and serving its customers. Although it's quite a ways from home, I have no doubt that I will be back until then. I will look forward to it. This part of Pennsylvania is seriously spoiled by the amount of quality and different wings up and down the valley. Everyone has their favorite spot, and this is definitely in my top 3 now, maybe even #2. On this night (6/13/25) service was excellent partly due to not many other patrons in the bar. Great for us, and even the cook came out to talk about wings and their great sauces. I got my dozen wings mild along with sides of coyote and their famous Acme sauce. All excellent! And the wings were amazingly crispy from the first wing all the way through the 12th. Perfect amount of sauce and crispiness all at once! This bar definitely has a dive feel to it, but the staff and patrons were all very welcoming to we out of towner's. We will be back! Limited hours is my only "complaint."
