This is the spot in New London for all your needs. You want to grill out - stop by the meat cooler for a great looking ribeye steak, chicken wings, or pork chops. You need a side for that dinner - they've got a cold case with stuffed baby portabella mushrooms, asparagus, corn on the cob, and at the front of the store are the russet m potatoes and sweet potatoes. You want a snack - get something from any of their aisles of snacks, or better yet, grab a box of Ritz and head to the cooler for the homemade jalapeño pimento cheese. If it's breakfast time, go towards the left of the store and get one of their breakfast biscuits. The sausage biscuit and liver mush biscuits can't be beat, but they also carry assorted breakfast pastries for the less refined pallets. You run out of sugar for your tea - no need to go anywhere other than here. Let the lawn service trucks in the morning be your sign to try this place at breakfast. Now there's no inside seating, but there's a park nearby if you're needing to not eat in your vehicle. For multiple days, we've picked up breakfast biscuit in the morning and meat for dinner. It's becoming a fast favorite because of the variety, quality, and convenience for us. There's not a ton of parking at the store, but there's some street parking nearby as well. I am thankful that New London has a store like this and I hope they continue for generations to come.

It looks like it use to be a gas station and their are no signs saying a name or anything, except for one big ugly multicolored sign that says World and thats it. Until I got a menu to take home, I had no idea it had a name. I didnt know what to get so I went with the 4 piece dinner, legs and thighs. I was surprised at how many tater wedges came with just 4 pieces, almost 2 dozen! Their cole slaw was fantastic! I have gone back twice now and found out that they use Lexington brand cole slaw. I love that brand, I just had not had their slaw before. My 2nd time the chicken was drier and didnt seem fresh but I prob just got it at the wrong time of day. I will still continue to go back because this nasty crack whore looking place has some amazing fried bird!

When it was sold I was thrilled the family continued to keep the business going in the similar way Danny did. You can come here for normal gas station needs. A lot of the neighborhood is in walking distance. Drinks, convenient items, lottery cards, etc. They still serve the same menu of food. Lunch : Pizza, chicken wings, potato wedges, etc. My favorite is ordering their breakfast, sausage sets and egg sandwiches. I call them before I am headed their way and they have it ready for me for when I stop in. They have daily specials too. Owners are nice. Even when they are busy it doesn't really feel that way because of the design of the restaurant. The dining room is circular with tables around the outside wall and a dividing wall is in the center of the room to allow more tables against it.
