    This is how my clean, damp white rag came up the day after my carpet cleaning by Stanley Steemer.   Not what I paid for!!

    I had Stanley Steemer out yesterday to clean three rooms and a hallway. When the technician arrived, I pointed out some soiled areas of concern (basic traffic area soil, nothing extreme) and asked that he give those areas particular attention. There was no application of spot cleaner. The technician worked very quickly and was finished with all areas within 20 minutes, which I felt was too fast given my experience with past carpet cleaning appointments with this company. I did not detect any issues yesterday while the carpet was wet, but today when dry, I saw the same soiled areas I pointed out for special attention. Overall, I see no major improvement in the cleanliness of the carpeting. I took a clean, damp white rag to a few of those spots today, and it came up very dirty. Photos attached. I'm giving a generous 2-star rating only because the technician was professional and relatively on time for my arrival window. HOWEVER, I give a 1-star for cleanliness, and will use another cleaning service in the future. Quite disappointed. I'd like my money back.

    I have used Stanley steam before and thought they were pretty good. I will never use them again. Nor will I recommend them to anyone. They came to clean my carpets and my furniture and a rug. My furniture doesn't even look like it was cleaned. It was as dirty as before they even cleaned it. I work hard for my money and I don't believe in taking money for anything I didn't earn. Well, this man sure didn't have a problem taking the money I paid for having my couch and chair cleaned. Terrible. I was not home to check it out before he left but I guarantee they will never be back. I Had to clean my couch and chair covers myself even after paying him to do it. So disappointed. Lesson learned.     The whole experience was disappointing and frustrating. They were to clean a few area rugs in my business. There was confusion from the get go, I was quoted one price and billed significantly higher. The person who picked up the rugs was utterly confused. However, the worst part is they said NOTHING and returned my rugs looking like this: Please see attached photo. I could have bought new rugs instead. Learn from my unfortunate experience. Also, I have reached out to them several times and heard nothing back from them.

Then insurance said they wouldn't approve it and Servpro tried to sneakily keep it from me until I brought it up to them. Then they sent the invoice to insurance even though they were told they had to work through us, the homeowners.. we had to call and check up on it ourselves. They took forever to deposit the check. Just a mess. I would never recommend them to anyone.

    I hired this company for mold remediation and was very disappointed. The crew on-site was polite…read moreand super nice, but the process did more damage than the work itself. I was never told my built-ins would be completely removed, I only discovered it after the fact. Had I known, I could have arranged for proper removal, but instead they were torn out in a way that left them unsalvageable, costing me thousands to replace. Afterward, the company pointed to the notes fine print rather than acknowledging the lack of communication. If you use them, insist on a clearly explained scope of work. If you rely on professionals to help you navigate confusing home repairs, like myself, these aren't your guys. Update to response: First, I want to be clear that I don't believe Adam or the company ever acted with any intent to mislead me or cause harm. I think this situation came down to a lack of communication that unfortunately left me in a difficult position. About 90% of what Adam said in his response is true, but none of it directly addresses my actual concern. The real issue is whether the company made sure I fully understood the scope of work. Perhaps Adam thought... what idiot would not see it was obvious that the entire built-ins would need to be removed? Hi... it's me, I'm the idiot and truly I had no idea. I thought only a portion of my ceiling would be affected. Given the huge difference between what I understood and what actually happened, I believe the company should have explained this much more clearly. Like many homeowners, I rely on professionals to explain the scope of work in plain terms. I think that's a reasonable expectation. Adam is correct with my quote below but he left out the part where I explained that my issue was solely that I didn't know the built-ins were being removed. This was never clearly communicated to me, nor was I given the opportunity to remove them properly myself. Because of that, I feel my ability to make informed decisions was taken away. I only reached out to Adam directly later, after another contractor told me the closet could have been saved and that the removal was "unnecessarily destructive." Whether that's true or not, I'll never know. because I wasn't given the chance to find out. To clarify, the note about the built-ins wasn't hidden in "fine print," but it was only mentioned once in the "Other Notes" section. It was never discussed verbally, by email, or over the phone, and it wasn't included in the detailed action items. I don't think a single mention buried in a notes section qualifies as meaningful disclosure, especially when no one pointed it out or explained its implications. Perhaps Adam does. Lastly, the other points raised, like the quality of the closet materials, water damage, or insurance support, are not relevant to my concern. My issue has always only been about the lack of clear communication regarding the scope of work. Thank you.

    A storm came through and caused some wind damage to our roof. It caused a leak that went through…read moreour ceiling in our bathroom. We discovered this on a Sunday afternoon. Josh came out right away to secure a tarp on our roof to prevent further damage. Once our insurance adjuster came out and determined that they would provide us very minimal coverage for the damage, Josh took it to the next level for us. It was a tedious and drawn out process but in the end we were awarded the funds to cover our new roof and our expenses for the damage to our bathroom. Josh was very on the ball and attentive to getting things taken care of for us. He came out and met with us to determine which product we wanted to use for our new roof as well as a tentative start date for the job (obviously weather permitting). When he noticed that an upcoming weekend had some promising weather, he reached out to us to confirm if this would work with our schedule. He arranged for the materials and dumpster to be delivered. On the day of install, his crew showed up and were all very professional. Came at 8am on Saturday morning and were done by noon on Sunday. Excellent site clean up from all of them. The only evidence that they had been there was our new roof and the dumpster full of materials in our driveway. Josh immediately had the dumpster removed from our property as well. Very attentive and accessible during the entire process from start to finish. 5 star rating for this company and Josh from our first encounter until the job was complete.
