Will not call on them in the future. On the plus side our cleaner was prompt and polite, but I'm afraid that's the only good report I have. We had moved furniture out and vacuumed thoroughly before his arrival. Good thing, because he did not. The vacuum on his steamer apparently did not have much sucking power because he left the carpets sopping wet. I even found a peanut deposited in one of the rooms! One of the bathroom tile floors still had dirt and grime in the corners and at the base of the vanity. The solvent he used has a terrible chemical smell. Never again! read more

This company an extreme disappointment. If you have to have a cleaning done I would NOT RECOMMEND using them. They don't explain that they charge for 2 rooms whether they clean 2 or 1. In my case the one room they "cleaned" was not cleaned correctly. It was expressed there were pets, in the home, and that was the reason for the cleaning. It was later explained that the carpet should have been raked (for the pet fur), then vacuumed, then cleaned. This however, was not done. Upon further inspection, it was found there were literally clumps of fur, all over the room, especially behind the door. Pictures were taken and this was communicated to the office. Upon review they AGREED the service was not completed to their standard or ours. What we were Not made aware of is apparently they have given themselves 30 days to correct any issues. According to the GM this policy is NOT in writing Not is it provided to customers. The room that was cleaned was in an elderly woman's home. We cleared everything from the room to assist with the cleaning. In the week it took to get resolution, we had to put the items back in the room. My mom was unable to move safely around her home with the clutter. We had to contact another company to complete the cleaning. A week later the office manager Tye arrived to make things right. She agreed to the work but needed a final approval. The GM that was contacted refuse to approve. We cleared a much smaller space, closer to the door, to allow them to rectify this issue. The GM not only refused to give a refund, a partial refund, or to clean the smaller space, but instead offered a 5% discount off a full price cleaning. (again they charge for 2 rooms min even if they only clean 1) THIS HAS BEEN MY MOST DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE SINCE MOVING BACK TO SAVANNAH, TO HELP MY MOTHER. I just wanted to let everyone know what my experience was with the local Stanley Steamer franchise. My air ducts needed to be cleaned after major repairs from Hurricane Helene. I waited until the interior work was completed in May and arranged to have them complete the job. It was $700 to have the duct work cleaned. The technician they sent supposedly completed the job, but left all of their equipment in my living room and in my attic. I did the right thing and called the company to pick up their equipment left by their technician. When they picked up the equipment they indicated if I had any problems to let them know--to give it some time--and that they had fired the technician. Now I am still having the white powder dust that I had before they supposedly clean the system. My project manager has reached out to them and I have also reached out to them. We both spoke with Caleb. He stated because it was over thirty days they can only come back at a discounted price or give me a give certificate for future use. I stated if the technician did not care about their equipment and how it could affect his pay, what makes them think that he actually did the job and did it correctly? I further asked Caleb that if the job had been done correctly, how is it that within 3 months it is the same as it was before they did the job--what would have caused the need to be cleaned again so soon? I stated all I was asking for was for them to come and do the job as it should have been done. I am not asking for a refund. He responded exactly as someone does when they don't have an answer---he said "I don't like how this conversation is becoming hostile". I told him I would be sure to let everyone that I encounter know what my experience has been. So, I want to warn every one of my experience and use them at your own risk. Very dissatisfied. All I wanted is for them to honor the job that I paid them to do, which they did not do, and clean my air ducts. I should have read reviews prior to service. Apparently I am not the only person that they do not want to provide satisfactory service. All they offer is a discount for them to service it again. Who in their right mind would want to pay again for something that was not done the first time--and pay the same company who did not do it right the first time???? If I could rate them "ZERO" or less, I would do so. I will be reaching out to the Corporate Office also. read more

Cleaned out convoluted dryer vent. Excellent Customer Service! They go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction with their quality and services ! I had them out to un block a very difficult and complicated duct system of all lint. Specifying when I scheduled them that they'd need a ladder to access an exhaust exit point which was two stories up. Receptionist said no problem. Despite her being incorrect on the length of their ladders, Branch Manager, Caleb, and technicians Nick and Reed went to extra lengths to obtain the ladder required and ensure no blockage remained. Accessing this convoluted system from the exterior, interior and midportion sections! The three were professional, courteous and best of all...persevering and thorough. Always with a smile. Over paid for incomplete cleaning. Started off fine, then the service tech got calls to finish up & get to the next appointment. The tech called out to me (in a different room), "ok, I'm all done". Then wanted to get paid. All before I could look at the kitchen floor. Half the floor wasn't cleaned. I said you're not done. He was upset that he had to get his equipment back out of the van. He spent another ten minutes on it. Then packed up & left annoyed he was late for his next appointment. As a new resident of Sun City in Bluffton SC, I tell people do not use Stanley Steemer. Too expensive and they will leave before completing the job. read more

I only write reviews when things are excellent or below par. We had had our home renovated several years ago and never had the ducts cleaned as most were new but there were some hard to reach ones which had been in the house for 50 years. We were referred to Stanley Steemer on HH and they came out, were very courteous, careful of my belongings; I paid them, they left and I didn't think much about it. It didn't occur to me until days later when there was no dust in my house just how much their job had improved my air quality. I was used to having to dust and vacuum every day as there were dust balls everywhere (we had no pets). I can now go days and days without any dust in my home and I can just feel the clean air and being able to breathe better. I have always suffered from allergies and this did the job. I am extremely sensitive to air quality so would highly recommend them. read more

Terrible customer service. Who is on first at Stanley Steemer? I had a courtesy appointment at 8 am as Stanley Steemer failed the first time to remove a stain from a chair. At 8:30 am I called to hear what the problem was, and I was told the employee was on his way to Sun City Bluffton. At 9:15 am he arrived. No apology, no explanation. When pressed he claimed it was his manager who called ME to jumpstart this dead appointment. Needless to say, I told him what really had transpired. Fast forward and the stain is still there. I wasn't holding my breath even though I was told by the first employee that in all likelihood it was gone. I'm not writing off the company as a whole, but this franchise won't be seeing another dime from me. Don't waste your time or your money! read more

The crew of two gentlemen arrived on time. That's always a plus! They were courteous and in fact worked diligently on the floors. Travis answered all of our questions regarding tile and grout, the work proceeded, and was done in a timely manner. I must say the end results were not exactly what we hoped for, but to be fair these floors were not new and were probably not cleaned properly by the previous owners. What was not to our satisfaction was the fact that we had to replace all the kitchen chairs and most floor items when the men were finished. They had removed the insulating cover to the outside faucet to hook their equipment to and failed to secure it after before leaving. We found it under one of the bushes. Never ever will they set foot in my home again! The technicians have been fine but the manager just spent ten minutes screaming at me over the phone over a mix up on their end. My husband got on the phone and he suddenly was polite. Absolutely no excuse for behavior like that, and inspite of the good job they did, I will never ever use the Bluffton/Hilton Head Stanley Steemer again. read more

Not the best. I'm sure the person that came used carpet cleaning solution but carpets don't smell fresh. Also person didn't utilize a carpet rake so now carpet is nearly flat yet is only 3 years old. I guess we will need to call chem dry as they had been our go to in Florida. read more

We made an appointment for our carpets to be cleaned by Stanley Steemer. We were told the cleaning would take place from 9-12. When they had not shown up by 9:30, we called and were told 9-12 was their anticipated arrival time. My cats are going crazy locked upstairs and no one in sight yet.
