To clean 2 room carpets (one of which was a large, outdoor Florida room carpet), Stanley Steemer was only here at my house for about 20 minutes (which suggests to me that the cleaning/protecting/deodorizing services I paid for were maybe not very thorough). They spilled a bunch of water on our tiles which my wife later slipped on and bruised her leg. To top it all off, the mildewy smell in the outdoor carpet and the pet smell in the indoor carpet are both still present. So, not really a 5 star value for around $170. Would not recommend. read more

This was my first time using Stanley Steemer. I made it a point to tell them when calling in that I didn't want debris blown out into my home when they're doing the duct cleaning. They assured me it would not happen. They said they would clean the coils as well. When they were done and gone I noticed debris from the cleaning on my desk where my laptop is and my comforter. They didn't cover them with plastic it seems. Plus they said this would not happen in the first place! I called and they came back out which is great but that meant I had to miss more time from work. Then the new tech admitted that they didn't clean the coils the first time around. Mike, the manager asked what they could do to make it right and I asked for a $200 discount for my trouble. He said he would get back with me. I can't even get a returned phone call from Mike, the manager now. I don't recommend this place. Go with a HVAC company instead. read more

The man who came to clean my carpet buckled my bedroom carpet pretty badly. I didn't report it right away because I didn't think they could do anything about it. Then one day when I was talking to a customer service rep there I mentioned the incident to her. She said, oh yes, we have the tools and ability to fix that. I said oh really, I had no clue that y'all could do that. Do you think you could send somebody to fix it for me? She got a head manager on the phone for me to find out, and he said, no, we will not fix it because you waited too long to report it. I said, I did not report it because I didn't think you could do anything about it. But he was adamant and insisted they would not do anything about it! My carpets are not that old and nowhere near ready to replace. So when I called another company to clean my carpet, I told him about the incident, and he said, they should have fixed the carpet No matter how long ago it happened! Their guy ruined it and they were liable to fix it! He was upset about it and it wasn't even his rug! So I would give a second thought about using this company. They do not stand behind things their guys ruin. It is not an honest ethical company to use. Not trustworthy. I would go somewhere else. read more

We have usually never left bad reviews for any company. However, unfortunately, this time, when I hired Stanley Steamer, we are not happy at all. They assured us of a great job and have strong advertisements, but it was not at all what was advertised, in fact quite the opposite. The job was lower than expectations significantly. They were way too quick, did not listen to any requests, and were very impolite in their acknowledgments. They simply ignored me when I asked for some areas to be redone and did not even have coverings on their foot. I am spending the next few days cleaning markings they have left behind. I have a medical problem and it is difficult to bend down, but I am having to reclean everywhere they were. They also did not provide a receipt of the service or purchase, not in-person or email or text. This was incredibly unprofessional and sketchy. It was more trouble than it was worth and I fully regret this service. I don't recommend it to anyone. It is the first time and last time we will ever hire this company. read more

I called Stanley steamer to clean a very large living room dining room combination that's Is a commercial grade low pile carpet, and the master bedroom suite. After they were done doing all this in less than 20 minutes it was clear that the Brown walk areas on the Gray carpet were still present. I ordered a home carpet cleaning machine and have just gone over a small 3' by 6' area That they were supposed to clean. The wastewater is Pitch black. The Stanley steamer cleaning process does not actually clean the floors and remove the dirty wastewater.. I would never use this company again. read more

I should've updated this sooner, but due to Stanley Steemer saturating my carpet the carpet stretched and has ripples in it. The carpet was only a year old and $5,000 to put in that I had to replace because they didn't want to fix it. I called the place I purchased the carpet from and they said leaving too much water on the carpet will do that and that Stanley Steemer is the worst place for carpet cleaning. read more

They came out and picked up my rug, with a heads up call when they would be arriving. It was cleaned at the facility and returned to me in a few days. I had gotten the rug at an auction and didn't expect a lot but was pleasantly surprised at how well it came out---much better than I expected. Highly recommend. read more

Used them for a challenging job with a Persian rug. I trusted them with the rug because, when we used this company in VA for wall-to-wall carpet cleaning, they were fantastic. We still found some issues with the rug after it was returned to us, so we inquired about that when they returned for another job. Two stars is very generous. Only had to clean tile in LR and 2 small bathrooms (300 square feet). I could have done as good and not had to pay $300. It was shinny but didn't look much different. Plus, we asked if sealer had lingering smell and were told, " It has a smell but it doesn't last long and no one has ever complained ". That's BS, the smell was so bad I almost went to the ER. Had to spend all day out of the Condo. Total rip-off. read more

About 1 month ago, I was desperate to have my extremely old (30 years) carpet cleaned for arriving guests as well as a home appraisal. I also needed a couch cleaned. The carpet was really terrible looking. I scheduled the cleaning and the 2 guys arrived on time. They worked diligently for several hours and the carpet and couch looked fabulous. I couldn't believe it. I could not have been happier. I truly thought my only solution was a new carpet. I have used SS in the past and they have done a decent job. Yesterday we had them clean the carpets for a party we are having. Not only was "Matthew" rude and unprofessional but he and his partner couldn't make up their mind how much to charge me for cleaning a rug. They left dirty hose tracks all over my tile and I had to give them clean towels to clean it up. After listening to the demeaning comments about dog hair on my carpet I just wanted them to leave. I have a beautiful home and I just wanted a little help before the party. Do not use these people. read more

They were on time but rushed through the job in my opinion. The spoke badly about the last carpet cleaner I used and the job he did but actually left a few spots on the carpet even after I pointed them out. No effort was made to remove them. The independent company I used last time was more thorough. I would not use them again. read more
