This is the worst high-dollar mistake I've experienced with a company. They charge $65 per vent for HVAC Duct Cleaning and $199 for Dryer Duct Cleaning. I believed their NADCA certification and their national name recognition meant I would receive reputable service. I was wrong. What I was left with is unsightly, damaged ceiling texture around several of my HVAC ceiling vents, and a nonworking clothes dryer. They used a blade to cut around the perimeter of each vent to remove them from the ceiling, but still pulled ceiling texture off during vent removal. My hardwood floors, and carpeting, were covered in dust, ceiling texture, and old strips of caulking after they removed the vent covers. They did not clean the vent covers. When they reattached the covers, they attempted to match up the stuck on caulk/ceiling texture (that remained on the vents) to damaged ceiling texture. Some of the larger areas of missing ceiling texture were filled with caulking that yellowed, and cracked, by the next day. My clothes dryer, that was working before their dryer duct cleaning, did not work after their cleaning. It cycled twice through a load of towels without drying them. I had to hire another company to come out and properly clean my dryer duct. Stanley Steemer does not go on the roof to clean the rooftop vent cap. When they clean the dryer duct they push air up towards the roof. This can result in a clogged rooftop vent. I spoke with the Stanley Steemer manager and told him I can provide him with the video of the clogged up roof vent cap & the lint removal (that was provided by the company that fixed the problem). He still refused to offer any kind of refund because he says it is their policy that they do not go on roofs. He also said that although they remove dust from HVAC vents, that doesn't mean you won't have any less dust in your home after their service. read more

we had an appointment for 9-1. got a text at 12:20 saying they were on the way. at 1:40 I called and canceled the service. Highly unprofessional to not be able to make it in a 4 hour window let alone 5 plus hours. read more

The good, the crew that did the work were professional and courteous. The bad is that according to the invoice I was charged for the sealant to the vent boots that wasn't done because it wasn't necessary for the type of vent boots in the house as per the tech doing the job. I called to question these changes and Earl responded and said it's broken down on the invoice that way for the bookkeeper??? That you are charged whether they do it or not. So instead of just listing the price per vent ( which I was still overcharged for) they use some BS method. I feel they scammed me for $180 ! read more

Wanted my A/C Ductwork cleaned. I remembered seeing the Stanley Steamer TV ad so I called and scheduled an appointment. Was surprised the price is based on the number of A/C Outlets you have. I booked an appointment and the crew showed up on time. They were extremely professional and methodical and worked as a great Team. I was extremely happy with the amount of time it took to complete the job however, there were a few things I'll mention only to make you aware of. 1. They take photos of areas that I wasn't able to take and they refused to share them with me. I was told I could take all I wanted as it was my home but they aren't allowed to share. 2. The amount they charge for add-ons. I was considering having a UV Light installed and was told it was $600.00 for a single light or $1,200.00 for a double UV Light set-up (the best option). I passed on their offer. I was also shocked to see the amount of $200.00 charged to apply an encapsulation sealant at each duck opening. 3. The last item I'd mention is the quality of the "Air Handler Coil & Blower Clean". My A/C Contractor came 4 days after and said the Air Handler Coil wasn't cleaned very good. He wiped areas of the coil with a clean rag and showed me. I was surprised to see the black on the rag. He also said there were areas inside the Air Handler they hadn't even touched. Would not pay for this option again. Would I use them again, YES but ONLY for duct cleaning. I'll pay my A/C Contractor to clean the air handler coil and blower and other areas. read more

I they came and cleaned and our ceramic. Their pricing was almost twice of independent businesses in the area. The results were barely noticeable. After contacting them, we find our light color grout is difficult. They could TRY harsher solutions that remove top layer of the grout. After we moved area rugs, furniture; plus putting back all the furniture they moved and did t put back! We decided not to let them TRY. Never again. read more

I have a large sectional that smelt like dog. Called these guys because they had the soonest available appointment. The representative was a complete jerk. She made the phone call very uncomfortable and acted like she was annoyed the entire time while talking to me. After I got home that evening, the couch still smell like a dog. It cost over $300 to clean and they didn't even clean the sides or the back of the couch. There was literally still dog hair and baking soda from my own attempt to remove the smell, left under the cushion, and in between the couch when you pull it apart. AVOID. read more

I highly recommend NOT using Stanley Steemer for any cleaning purposes in your home. They destroyed my brand new expensive rug with a massive stain. Upon trying to remove the stain, they discolored the rug and ruined the texture of the rug and will not compensate me for damages. In addition, they left massive ring marks all over my tile floor from their buffer tool. They have tried to remove them 4 times with no success and keep claiming its residue. They will not compensate for me that damage either and keep asking to come out to clean it despite it not coming out after 4 cleans. I basically paid them to destroy my home instead of doing the yearly steam clean that I like to do. Terrible company that does not stand by their product. DO NOT USE THEM! read more

I paid Stanley Steemer to clean carpets in two bedrooms. Two employees arrived, set up their equipment, cleaned the carpets in less than thirty minutes. They did not have to move furniture because the rooms were empty. It seemed they finished very quickly, almost like they were in a hurry. I paid extra to have them also do a treatment for pet odor from a previous tenant. As they were leaving I asked if they were done already and had they applied whatever they do for pet odors and was told "yes". This seemed very fast for having to setup and clean two good size bedrooms but I have used Stanley at my home in another city and was always pleased with the results. The carpets had a funky smell but I figured it would dissipate after the carpets were dry. My new tenants decided the carpets weren't as clean as they should be so I agreed to pay for a rental machine they used to clean the same two bedrooms again. The water collected by their rental machine was disgustingly dirty. Apparently Stanley did not do a very thorough job. Apparently all Stanley locations are not competent, the one in Ocala certainly is not. read more
