I spoke with someone on the call center that quoted $165 for my dryer vent to be cleaned. They were supposed to confirm with the office that they could go to the third floor and the price. Then the price increased to $200. I spoke with Matt, he scheduled my appointment for today between 12-5 pm. The technician arrived @ 10:40 am. This would normally be fine; however, I had another appointment to get to prior to them coming. They told me I had to reschedule. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! & Robin is unreasonable and unprofessional. They ruined my day because I kept the day open for them to be here. Now i can't use the dryer until it is cleaned. They should have made it a point to send the technician back at a later time today. read more

We had our carpets cleaned which worked out well, but we were also convinced to buy a doormat for an additional $30. They didn't haven't doormat we wanted on the truck (gray), so they told me it would be dropped off the next day. Fast forward a week (we all have things to do and get busy) and there is no doormat and not a peep from them. I called to find out what happened and was told I would be called that day or the next. No phone call received. Then I called again and was told the doormat would be delivered today. Well, today has come and gone and still no doormat. I just called for the third time and am now told it will be delivered tomorrow. We will see, but I am doubtful. It's a shame you are not able to contact the local office directly, but instead have to talk with folks in a centralized scheduling office. This is now a matter of principle. If you are going to sell something, then deliver on your commitment or don't bother selling it to me at all. We used Stanley Steemer was the only carpet cleaning company that said they would wear shoe protectors. They didn't wear them in - which was fine - as they were on carpet right away - and they soon put on covers and cleaned. Only complaint, gentleman asked to use restroom and he didn't have on shoe protectors at that time - so I had to clean bathroom after he left. Of course, I would have cleaned anyway but still. They also offer to move furniture for no extra cost. Other companies charge you for entire room, even though they don't move furniture. read more

I had the grout on my kitchen floor cleaned. While very nice, the techs were done the job in about 20 minutes. The floor was still wet when they left, so it was hard to see how much better it looked, if at all. After drying, I started noticing new brown lines of what I assumed to be leftover dirt that was loosened up & left/built-up during the cleaning. I tried scraping away at it myself, called Stanley Steemer back & was told not to touch it any further. Another tech was sent back out today, stayed for another 20 minutes, told me to scrape it clean, that the floor was just old & left. I've called Stanley Steemer three times. The first time, they cleaned my furniture. They did a great job. While they were there I got a quote on two bathrooms tile and grout. They were going to give me a little discount for whatever reason. I called them to come back. When they did, they upped the price. When I told them what we agreed on with last cleaners, he said he didn't count cost of shower and rib, which I know they did. I specifically asked about them and how and what they would do. I told them, no thank you! I want my hardwoods done now. Called for appt. got a Friday appt and called after they didn't show up. They said I was scheduled for Saturday. I know people can make mistakes on day and time but I also know that I don't schedule anything for a weekend appt., never! I had a gentleman and a woman come to the house, they assessed my condition of the carpet and told me the price, which was very accurate from the estimate that I got online. They worked well together as a team, and it didn't take long to do my two rooms in the family room, the hallway, and the stairs. Very professional, outgoing, and very informative! Absolutely disappointed!!! We hired Stanley Steemer to clean our carpets in the upper level of our new home before move-in day. After letting them know how dissatisfied we were with the quality of work preformed and seeing NO difference at all in our carpets; we decided to use our own store-bought carpet cleaning machine. UNHAPPY! The worker broke my bathroom faucet, it flooded that evening. I had to call a plummer and stanley steemer claims they examined the faucet, nothing wrong. Do not use this company! We booked them, they told us they would arrive between 8 and 9 am. when they didn't show, we rang them and they had been to the wrong address. No phone call, nothing. Very impressed. The two young men that came to my home were courteous, professional, and made sure they were clear on exactly what I wanted done before starting, including fees. We will definitely use them again. My home is 11 years old and the grout on the kitchen floor tile had never been sealed. Yeah. Also, we have the original carpeting in all four of our bedrooms, which had been vacuumed weekly (kind of) but never professionally cleaned. My husband and I decided to call Stanley Steemer with a "we'll see" approach. Well! A little over an hour was all it took for everything to be completed and ta-dah! My tile looked amazing, and the rugs...we couldn't believe that they looked BRAND NEW. Forgot to mention that the rugs are light, light, beige (family of 4 kids and 2 dogs, real smart, I know). Price was extremely reasonable and I was shocked how quickly everything was done. Really shocked. We had used another company years ago to clean our family room rug and steps (which we have since replaced with Pergo after coming to our senses) and they were at our house for over 4 hours. One room! The Stanley Steemer giants took less than an hour to do 4 bedrooms and a huge kitchen and laundry room! They will even move your furniture, free, but we cleared away most all of our furniture the night before just to make things easier. My house looks awesome. read more

This company tried to rip me off! Over the phone they gave me a quote which included cleaning my stairs. When they got here they said the stairs were extra. I told them to go pound sand. They didn't get a penny out of me and never will. read more

I was not pleased with the job. The chair, which was very important, did not get clean at all and the bedroom rug looks worse than it did before cleaning. Employee blamed problem on us having used Resolve on spots. If this was the case, I should have been told when we made the appointment that this would present a problem in the cleaning process. They were only here one hour which resulted in the poor results. Price was OK, but would rather pay a little more for a good job. Definitely would not recommend or use your service again. I generally do not post reviews but feel I should share my experience. I needed my fabric couch cleaned and was ready to pay more for a branded service company. pros : arrived on time, easy payment by card. Cons : Rushed through the cleaning. I had to repeatedly point out problem areas on the couch that needed to be sprayed and recleaned. The guy kept insisting that it would look better once it dries. I did supervise the whole time but just did not see any change in the stains. I think that they did not have right stain remover spray. So basically they just vacuumed/ washed with hot water. For the high price, it was not worth it. They should have told me that they would not be able to get water /coffee stains out over the phone. I do believe they cleaned the dust but not a professional deep clean that I expected. Not worth the price. read more

I have used Stanley Steemer in the past and have always been satisfied. They are always on time, efficient and professional. Not sure which office they are from but they (young man and woman) came professionally attired, polite and helpful. Have a cat - make that an always shedding kitty - and they manage to remove what the vacuum doesn't. Carpets are always fresh smelling and sparkling when they leave. My husband called to get the carpet cleaned in our apartment. I was at work and he wanted to surprise me with a clean carpet. We have some very high traffic areas and we have had a different company in the past. I was not hoping for a lot since they did not have much sucess with the traffic areas. But I did have expectations for the remainder of the carpet. But, no! Luckily, the savie business man sold him the bottle of spot clean. I used half the bottle cleaning the places they missed. Directly next to the recliner was a small red spot in clear view if you had gone around the chair. I removed it in about five minutes. The area carpet in the center of the room was not touched. I asked my husband if they did the area carpet he did not know as he left them to their work and went outside to wait until they completed. I started with the spot cleaner on the area carpet. That also came up with little work. I realize the area carpet would be an additional charge. However, it is permanently attached to the floor, so, I consider that to be part of the carpet. It was not moved, just gone around. For the price my husband paid I think we could have had a little more attention to detail. Do purchase the spot remover it is a very good product.
