I want to this review Stanley Steemer for Duct Cleaning. we have a house that is one year old. Our house was the dustiest home we ever lived in and someone suggested this cleaning. I would never have thought a brand new home could or would need this service. Stanley Steemer in Delmar came out about 3 months ago but I waited till I could tell if this service was worth the money. I can honestly tell you it has cut down the dust by about 70%. Now we have just the lived in amount of dust. read more

I bought a condo and had basement carpet cleaned instead of replacing, I don't think they used any cleaning product at all! Was clearly a waste of my time and money, I signed off on it just to get them out the door. I went and borrowed a friends Bissell carpet cleaner and the carpet looks brand new!!!!!!! I spilled dirt and water from a planter on my $12,000 wool carpet. Stanley Steemer tried to clean it twice, and the result was the stain was throughout the rug vs. in one small spot. They said they'd be in touch, I wrote a couple of times, and never heard anything. They also charged me $200+ for the cleaning, and the rug is unusable. I donated it to a charity. I will NEVER consider using them again. Mistakes happen but they did nothing to rectify it. read more

I had Stanley Steemer come out to clean my HVAC and Dryer Vents. One guy came out and looked at everything and gave me an estimate. A week or so later two guys came out to clean the HVAC and dryer vent. The HVAC cleaning was fine, but they destroyed my dryer vent. The vent was essentially very thin plastic (I found out later) and could not be cleaned. The initial estimator and the cleaning techs both didn't notice this and the techs stuck the machine down there anyway and completely ripped it up. They did not charge me to clean the dryer vent, but did charge me to clean the HVAC vents. After paying $1200 to get it replaced with a metal (cleanable) vent I contacted Stanley Steemer to request a refund for the money I paid to cover they damage they did and they never called me back after several attempts. They should have known during the estimate that the dryer vent wasn't cleanable (it was visible behind the dryer) and the tech should have know also not to try and clean it. Then the ownership should have refunded the money I paid to cover the damage they cause. (Minimally the owners should have called me back!) read more

I had to get my ducts cleaned out. My duct works were filthy. I called several companies, Stanely Cleaners was the best value. It too from 9-11:30 and the worked constantly. The paid close attention not to hurt my new hardwood floor. They showed me before and after. After was perfectly clean. My home was left perfectly clean, the vacuumed, looked for finger prints and removed anything and everything leaving my home better than when the started. Well done tram. That includes Katie who did scheduling. Best features: value, professionalism, and expertise. Oh and did I tell you the clean tile and can seal the grout any color you want? read more

They came out quickly for an estimate, recommended encapsulation and did the job within a week so we could use heat pump. We also gave them an area rug to clean today. Waited 4 hours. Got a call they'd be "closer to 4". I called them at 4:20 and they're at least 20+ minutes away. Pitiful! Dispatcher called but apparently clueless on where his workers are. Frustrated and pissed given I stayed home all afternoon for a lousy $150 (over priced btw) dryer vent cleaning! I am in zip 19975 and the people on the phone were well aware. read more

Absolutely the worst service I've ever received. The cleaner didn't show up for the appointment. When I called the 800# to cancel the appointment and lodge a complaint, the rep on the phone offered no apology, but instead just asked when I'd like to reschedule. I told him I wasn't going to reschedule and said I'd call a different company. His answer to me was "ok, no problem". I would appreciate an apology from someone for wasting 3 1/2 hours of my time! read more

I have used Stanley Steemer multiple times in the past, and again they made my carpets look fresh again! My 2 boys know how to soil a carpet, and Stanley gets it looking new again. This time I also got my wood floors cleaned and sealed. I was very impressed with how "new" my wood floors looked and would recommend this service as well. Pluses: 1. Technicians were friendly and polite. 2. Cleaning of carpets in 3 rooms and bathroom floor tile was very good. Minuses: 1. When the technicians entered our house to look at the rooms they would be cleaning, they tracked in dirt from their boots. When this was pointed out to them, they wiped up the hardwood floors with a rag and of course cleaned the carpets in due course. 2. After the initial tracking of dirt, they were careful to wear booties over their boots. But then they wore those same booties back-and-forth on the sidewalk leading to their truck and across the grass strip next to their truck! We had to mop the hardwood floors after they left. 3. They used our outside hose bib without a word to us that they would be doing so (coincidentally, after a cold winter we had just turned the water on the day before). When they left they did not reattach our hose that had been attached to the hose bib. 4. They left lint-like residue and the partial outline of a hose on the concrete floor of our front porch. We had to sweep it up. So, while the actual carpet cleaning was good, the attention to basic, customer-oriented details was sorely lacking. read more

Don't get ripped off like I did. They came in, spent 5 minutes on my stairs and floors, and left with my $100. All carpets were still dirty, and they barely hit all of the carpet. I figured they would clean it better than I could have, but I was waaaaay wrong. They wanted to come in, take my money and leave with no customer satisfaction whatsoever. These guys did a great job in our home. We had nearly all of the carpets in our house cleaned, deodorized, and protected nearly one week ago, and everything still looks and smells great. The men who served us were very professional and courteous. This was actually our second time hiring them (we hired them a year ago), but I didn't write a review last year. I was so disappointed! I have heard not to use them. Next time I'll listen. They charged me 25.00 dollars extra for an area rug because it was wool. Ok I agreed BUT! They didn't do anything different at all! They broke a knick knack and didn't even tell me! Too many complaints to matter. I just learned a valuable lesson. read more

First off, I must saythat, as far as services offered, I'd give this company 4.5-5 stars. They came on time, got right to work, finished quickly, & given how horrible my carpets were, I'd say performed a miracle as far as how clean they got them. Everyone was very helpful & friendly. From the first woman I spoke with to inquire about pricing, to the person who called to confirm the appointment, to the guys who came out to do the actual work. Now the reason why only one star. Four days before the appointment, I received some cables & accessories for the sound system in my car. I went through the package to make sure I received everything I ordered, then left it in the UPS box on the floor next to one of my couches. For 3 days it sat there untouched. Then, miraculously, the day these two clowns show up & clean the carpets, it all comes up missing. I searched the entire house to make sure it didn't get misplaced when they were moving furniture around, but it was nowhere to be found. Now if no one else had been in the house those few days, I mean, it doesn't take a veteran detective to figure it out! I mean, altogether, the items I orderd only totalled just under 50 bucks, but I don't care if it cost a nickel. I work hard for my s%#t!!! And is it a surprise that the friggin' stoonad that did my carpets didn't show up to work the following day & wouldn't answer any calls from the office? There is someone who is trying to help me sort the whole issue out (thanks Jerome,) but the damage has already been done. For that one specific reason, this Stanley Steemer will never get my business ever again. And if they're willing to steal something worth only 40 some bucks, I fear for anyone who has truly nice things in there home! read more
