I have Stanley Steemer out to clean my house all the time and they even cleaned my truck carpet and seats before. Im sure that they have the best equipment to get it the cleanest and great people. I had services performed by Zach and Josh. They were pleasant but I found out later, once the carpet dried, they did an awful service. I tipped them both $15 and I should have just kept my money. They had to come back and retreat our home, which they did take ownership and not charge. Services performed by Kevin and Noah were outstanding. Of course we gave them a much bigger tip. When I call back today and spoke to Bob @ 717-613-6050, who stated he was a manager. Which was shocking because he was very RUDE and NOT PROFESSIONAL. Would not allow me to finish my complaint. He did not demonstrate any leadership. Bob needs to go back to training or find another field of work because customer service IS NOT IT! We had previously been subscribed to their 1-Year-Clean-Guarantee program which carpet cleaned 2 rooms three times a year. On one of those visits their technician sold us a renewal for the next year. When we tried to schedule our next visit and were told that we would only get 1 room cleaned. We explained that we had always been on a 2 room subscription and had renewed the same program. First we were told a manager would contact us about the mistake but they blew us off and never called. We called back 2 weeks later and were rudely told that we get what we get. And on top of that, found out they overlapped our 2 annual subscriptions so we now have reduced time to used our next year's worth of cleanings. Definitely got scammed on our renewal; filed with BBB and will never let Stanley Steemer in our home again. read more

Never again. I used Stanley Steemer many times over the last two plus decades. I eventually had to never use them again because of the owner. The last time I tried to schedule them to have my carpets cleaned, I requested a specific cleaning technician who happens to be the owner's brother. And I requested him because he did a great job deodorizing, cleaning and protecting my white carpet with Scotchguard. I *did* schedule that appointment after being told they couldn't guarantee specific technicians. I told them that if the technician that I wanted was not at the door, I would send them away. The girl on the phone who set up the cleaning date then said she would make sure that technician showed up. THEN, I got a call from the owner. He accused me of trying to get all of my carpets cleaned for $99.00. WHAT? I scheduled the minimum amount of cleaning required and would add the rest later knowing that add on's increase the technician's commission. If I scheduled everything I wanted over the phone, the technician wouldn't get the commission. I told the owner to go screw himself. I told him I'd never use them again. And I never have. You shouldn't both with them either. They've been treating their customers and technicians like garbage for 20+ years. read more

I wasn't really impressed with most of my experience. They did come back out to redo a carpet that seemed to smell after they did it the first time. I had paid them to clean the carpets and tile. The grout ended up being patchy so they came out to clean this up. But, when they use so much water, it gets the walls and appliances all wet so you need to clean up after them. I wasn't happy about this. When they drag those dirty hoses through your house, they go around corners with them too. This had damaged and wore the paint off of the corners of the trim. When i have to do more work when someone leaves to clean up after them, this doesn't make me happy. When someone comes into your home to clean, they are supposed to leave no trace. I will not recommend stanley steemer to anyone. read more

I made an appointment with them over a week for having laboratory floors to be stripped and resurfaced. Just received a call hours from my appointment time and they canceled it due to they worked on another job late into the night before. Total waste of my time, we are a national company will definitely make sure this facility or Stanley steamer is not on the call list. read more

I used Stanley Steemer again from this location. This time it was to clean the carpeting throughout my entire home, minus all the furniture since I've already moved into my new home and was preparing my old home for sale. The house was completely devoid of any furniture or objects and I was surprised at the condition of the carpeting once the furniture was missing. There were hidden stains and dirt and dust from all the moving, so their job was cut-out for them. I performed the order online using their system for ordering, but still received a telephone call for scheduling the time window after I chose the date. The service was for 3-bedrooms, a hallway, and a living room. I also ordered an Odor Out Kit at the cost of $20. While on the telephone the representative tried to up-sell me by having me purchase the deodorizer for each room, where the technician walks around with a metal canister, similar to a pest control specialist, and sprays the entire carpet and then uses a carpet rake to raise the carpet. I declined the deodorizer, which I previously purchased on a different occasion because it's approximately $20 per room and I'm selling the home, not living in it. Instead, I purchased the Odor Out Kit, which is a bottle of concentrated deodorizer and sprayed it on the carpeting throughout the home once they were finished cleaning the carpets. In addition, I went to Walmart and purchased a large can of Lysol Disinfectant Spray, to spray the home before the walk-through with the buyer, not that the home smells, but just to make it smell fresh since the home is older. Stanley Steemer called me as a courtesy when the cleaning team was approximately 20-minutes away. The cleaning crew arrived and came into the home and viewed the areas to be cleaned. The technician asked me if I knew what the stains were and I told him that I had no idea and that I didn't even know they were there because they were hidden by furniture. He couldn't assure me that they would be able to remove all the stains depending on what they were, but they would do their best. I walked back over to my new home and received a telephone call when they were finished. I walked into the home to find every stain gone. When I walked into the bedrooms, I noticed that the team even cleaned the inside of the closets that had carpeting. The carpeting looked brand-new. I was amazed! Each time I used them previously, they did an outstanding job when cleaning carpeting and furniture. This time was no exception. They did a fantastic job! As I did before, I will do again and highly recommend using Stanley Steemer to clean your carpeting and furniture. Their pricing for cleaning carpeting is reasonable. The cleaning crews are professional, friendly, and efficient. I'm not going to ding them by removing a star for these two infractions because it is a choice, but I would not recommend the room deodorizer, unless you have pets and your home really needs that clean, fresh smell, due to the cost, nor would I recommend their furniture cleaning because I believe it's costly per piece of furniture. I can tell you that I inherited two wingback chairs that were yellowed from smoke stains that I just covered with chair covers for years without having them cleaned. When I moved into the new home, I had them cleaned by Stanley Steemer and they did a great job, removing all the yellow staining, making the furniture look brand-new again, but it was costly (probably well worth the cost, because the chairs are beautiful, solid-made furniture, not like the junk they make today). I really shouldn't complain about the cost to clean the chairs because I certainly couldn't buy new chairs, even the junk they make today, at the cost to clean them. Another job well-done! read more

We used them to vacuum out our ducts. They were prompt, effective, and professional. We purchased our house in July and before turning on the heat. We wanted to have the ducts cleaned because they smelled like wet dog. It was really bad. I was sceptical but they did an amazing job. We will use them again. read more

Do not trust the quoted price!! The service we received from Stanley Steemer was above average, but the final price was nearly $100 more than the price I was quoted. Carpet cleaning prices in college towns are competitive, and I was bewildered when our quote of $169+tax turned into a total bill of $260. When I called to inquire about the price difference, the secretary tried to convince me that I should be happy, since "the quoted price included a discount." I had to politely explain that when a discount is applied to a quote but not to the actual cost, there isn't actually a discount, just false advertising. I pushed for a breakdown of the additional charges, but I only received stammering excuses: "Well, it was, umm, probably umm, $20 extra for...". I'm not convinced that there was any explanation, since evidently there wasn't a detailed record of the additional charges. I finally realized that logic wouldn't work when the secretary told me "hey, you can't just go to Walmart and get things for free." I said "no, but atleast the price on the tag corresponds to the amount I'll pay." Her response: "Not necessarily." She hung up on me when I informed her that I wouldn't be using Stanley Steemer's service in the future. read more

They came to clean our hardwoods and area rug, I had to vacuum the area rug after they left, and there were several piles of dust where they should have cleaned the hardwood. The company is way too overpriced, save your money. read more
