I was never told by R&J Ertel that it was being sold without a warranty. Now they won't service it under the warranty and I have been unable to even talk to them. Every call goes unanswered. Beware! Make sure there is a warranty on any product you buy. Don't assume it comes with a factory warranty. I have dealt with R&J Ertel for over 20 years, but never again.

BEWARE!!!!! Have had Hilltech complete three sizable…read moreprojects at my home over the past 2 years. The last was last summer - a brand new AC unit for over 7200$ that was not working by the end of the summer/less than 3 months after it was installed. (Cooled attic which is a STORAGE SPACE -- but not the rest of the house.) Begrudging came to see what was wrong after 2 calls and realized his staff did not install/connect the main vent from the attic and it was releasing all of the cold air into the attic. OOPS! Similar issue with same unit again this year. Have called 4 times over past 3 weeks with no return call. So disappointed. Was still planning to have company install heating/AC/dehumidifier for attic space we are remodeling this Fall. Obviously we are reaching out to other HVAC providers. (Any suggestions???) Could not recommend a company less than Hilltech. Dave is not a good guy. Called Better Business Bureau. Yikes. Don't do it.

That company came back and said nothing was wrong and our furnace was still not working. Called Gerard and Action Heating and they came out and got our furnace working again. Very friendly and hard working. Did not just try to sell me another furnace. I would recommend them to anyone!
