Stanley Steemers cleaned carpets and cushions of formal dining room chairs. in the process they knocked large wood chips off the legs of 3 dining room chairs. They refused to acknowledge the damage or offer to repair the chairs. They told me to get wood glue and fix them myself. Richard the owner came out and played private detective so he could avoid having to pay for or repair the damage. They do a terrible job of cleaning carpets. I ended up with the same worker, Richard, whom my friend had been so happy with. Richard was patient when I double-booked the appointment time and he worked with me to still meet me the same day. Carpets looked clean but smell was not lifted, even tho that was mentioned when I requested a quote. My stains are not old stains so they went away easily, but high traffic areas were so-so. The guy was polite but pretty upfront that he might not be able to resolve the issues as requested, which is not something a customer wants to hear before paying $149 for a service. I have my own carpet shampooer but I wanted the job to look more professional than what I'd do on my own.. was hoping for special touch such as pretreatment, deodorizer, or whatever tricks are used by professionals.. felt I could've spent an hour myself and saved my money. Guy was polite and patient as I had dogs in crates barking some of the time. All factors contribute to the rating. read more

Don't book Online. I cannot inform you if they give reasonable service or not. I booked online was given a price quote and an appointment date. I was sent two follow up emails to confirm the appointment date within one hour of booking for next day appt.. Two hours after booking, having taken the day off work and moved all the furniture to the garage,they called and informed me they weren't available anymore. Could we do another day, they asked? I informed them I had already made all arrangements and she said politely, your choice is reschedule or cancel, which one do you want? They were courteous I will say that, but that goes only so far when they don't show up as scheduled. read more

WE used this company for 10 or more years. We live in Tehachapi and didn't mind paying the $35 travel fee. This time they are advertising $199 special for 5 rooms. The last time I used them they over charged me for an extra room and instead of having them send a check I told them to just put a credit on our account. When I called to book this special I was told that they would not come here for less than $250, even though their special said $199 and all of a sudden my credit disappeared. I am very disappointed in this company. We have worked with Macias before and were very happy but now will use another company. There are many companies that want the business and I am sure will treat their customers right. read more
