The first time I came, I was impressed with the facility and how each room seemed to have foliage and big glass windows that allowed natural light to come in. I personally think that helps make it feel less "hospital-like" and helped calm me down before my first dental cleaning in yeaaaarssss. My dental hygienist was kind, patient and did a fabulous job helping me feel/stay comfortable. After my first visit, I looked into Invisalign and started treatment shortly after. My experience was a little unique since it was during COVID-19 but overall the treatment was really easy and they did their best to make us feel safe and followed safety precautions which I appreciated (having a partner who is high-risk w/ an autoimmune disease). I personally probably should have gotten braces bc I have no self-control lol but overall Invisalign was best for me since I was graduating college and didn't want to have metal in my mouth for those photos. During my treatment, Southpark Dental was able to contact Align Technology and make sure I was given the refinement that I was owed with my original package [keep in mind COVID closures and delays in normal routine visits]. They did not have to do that but it was SO NICE of them to take care of me like that and with a little luck and time I was on my way to even straighter teeth. Although my teeth aren't where I would want them to be that is MY FAULT and has nothing to do with my dentist or her assistant who I both absolutely love! (Dr. Reiter and Leishla) I've been coming here for six years now and everyone in the office is so kind and professional. The first part of my visit involved scans and X-Rays to establish care and then they were able to take care of my hygiene. All communication was clear, detailed and professional and by the time I saw Dr.Rizvi, she was fully up to date with my visit and information. We set up a plan to establish the care I needed and this was genuinely the best trip to the dentist I've ever had! UPDATE 10/16/2023: Came in for another cleaning today and the team continues to create the absolute best environment for care. I went today for a cleaning g and had to stop the hygienist about 3/4 of the way through because he just kept hurting me. He crushed my lips against my teeth with the mirror thing while trying to get at my back teeth. My gums haven't bled in years due to a cleaning but today they did. My hair and shirt were all wet because he didn't stop to suction out my mouth when he switched over to the water because I was complaining about him being so rough with the dental tools. There was so much water in my mouth that I gagged causing him to spray that high powered water thing on my lips which felt like they were cut ( they weren't luckily) . The other hygienist that I usually have is not rough like this. This guy needs to go back to school. This appointment.was a reschedule because when I arrived for the original appointment I was.told there would be about an hour wait because the were running late. This is not the first time they were "running late". They apologize but problems always seem to arise. Then I get my patient summary and it says they did this, that and the other thing which is not at all what they did. So I've had a molar that I've had several dental company do a crown on multiple times. I'm talking…read moreabout 13 crowns. FAMILY First Dental would be the 6th dental company to be the last to work on the same molar. I was happy to hear that Dr. Zavala came up with a technique to make a crown for my molar that would ensure it will not have a problem staying on. As soon as he saw my molar he knew why the other dental places had failed. He told me that in order for a molar to have a proper crown the length of the molar had to be atleast 2mm. My molar was 1mm on one side and 1/2mm on the other side. Therefore he exposed more of the molar by cutting the gum because the xrays showed my molar was long. He made a different type of groove to make sure it stuck. Instead of the traditional, he made a cross indentation in the middle. I was "wow" that looks like a cross which I loved. It made me feel like yep God is blessing me. He knows how much I've go e through with this molar. Today I got the permanent crown delivered and it feels great. I can finally eat food without worrying and my molar is protected. Family First Dental staff made me feel like they actually cared about doing the work correctly and also gave me information where I understood what was being done and why. They have made me very happy and I'm definitely bringing my kids here. I've had this fear of dental places because it seemed they just want to do things at a 50% quality not Famiky First Dental.
