I honestly feel bad for the manager. If remaining cashiers are understaffed they get stressed when it's busy and the lines get really long. The cashier's feelings in turn stress me out as a customer. It can be a chaotic zoo at the cash register and at self check-out. Other times when Safeway is adequately staffed it is a whole different ballgame and feels like a pleasant and calm store. The food quality tastes good, and this Safeway has a good selection of food products.

There isn't another organic grocery store for at least a half hour or more from this rural town, so this is the place to shop (besides Buck's grocery store, which has more mainstream retail grocery products) for food and some medicine or health supplies, when staying in the area. Despite their limited selection on certain items like meats and dairy, I loved that they have plenty of dry spices and herbs for your culinary heart's desires - as well as plenty of delicious local honey by the gallon and liter for sale. They also have a connected bakery in the back of the store with fresh baked goodies abd some light bites too. It's definitely one of the main spots in town for locals and visitors alike since many local events and happenings are posted on the windows and walls outside the store.
