Dr. Suzanne is the absolute BEST! She worked closely with me in the hospice of my emotional support animal, Grissom. She answered all my questions and did not rush us. She administered the injection to help Grissom cross the rainbow bridge and she explained everything clearly and compassionately before doing it. She stayed close by while I lost my best friend. I got a second Opinion from another vet and told me the steroids they had put him on was equal to herion!!!! Dr. Dan left me with a huge smile, on my face and in my heart! Close to bursting with pure joy!! ..and my cat Weezy much, much improved.. I adopted Weezy at age 11, now 19,, with several chronic health issues. Despite many vets in 3 states, I've never felt so secure and her thoroughly taken care of as with Dr. Dan. Her "exam" touched upon everything inside and out. He explains and discusses every point and concern. I visited for a few specific issues and a general assessment of her status and age. Dr. Dan addressed all and then some. Tbh, for almost a year I've been preparing myself for loosing her. 48 hrs prior to coming in were spent alone with her, saying goodbye. .. Dr. Dan alleviated my fears. His confidence, skill and positivity made me feel secure and thrilled having Weezy in his capable hands! I'm overwhelmed with Joy knowing that she's going to be around for awhile and the way Dr Dan conveyed her status to me facilitated this. I can't express the relief and happiness I'm feeling! Now, after her treatment, she's looking and acting like a young, healthy cat! I've written about Dr. Nate and call him an Angel. He saved and lengthened the life, with quality, of a senior, terminal dog named Cody I adopted. Dr. Terry is wonderful as well. It's obvious that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree... Stanglein was recommended to us by our neighbor - the way he spoke of this vet already helped us make up our mind on where to take our furry family! So far, we've taken our cat and our rescued german shepherd & they've been nothing less of excellent. Our cat was acting strange & they were able to book us same day without additional same day fees for the appointment. We were not upselled, which I totally appreciate. The vet kept things simple & sent us on our way with the opportunity to come back if things still didn't seem right. Turns out he was completely correct, and she's fine - we over exaggerated. I used to like it here when I first move to the area. That was until they became money hungry. I had a tech appointment only to give my dog a vaccine, after I told them I did not want an exam they went ahead and proceed to do an exam then took my dog out back and cleaned his ears without my consent and charged me a ridiculous amount of money to do so. What was suppose to be a $80 visit turned into over a $200 visit. It was rare that I left there with a bill under $300. It is absurb. I started ordering my dogs medications through Allivet or Chewy because it as so much cheaper. Then they started denying his heardguard and Bravecto without seeing him first. He was on the medication faithfully every month (every 3 months for Bravecto). That was the final straw. It was time to move on! read more

The vet assistant drop my 11 year old doxie right in front of me I saw it and when I went crazy and said something they looked at me like it was normal and I had no reason to speak out. What happens behind my back. What if I were to leave my pets overnight? They need to spend money on more training on how not to drop ur pets. The crazy thing is Dr Nate sends me a letter today saying I am no longer welcomed back .. lol like I am ever going to give them the chance to drop my Gracie pet again! We moved from another vet because of price hikes and poor service. Stanglein told us they would be different and that was two years ago. Recently I found them doing the same things as our past vet. Price hike and non personal approach to business. Seems like they're trying to make every dollar from you and also trying to up sell you on everything. Recently gave me three quotes on my dog ranging from one thousand to three hundred dollars on a fatty tissue deposit because they want to see what it is. Everyone has been so kind and sweet to my 2 kitty boys, Tucker and Mo, since I moved to Northampton 2 years ago. They practice fear-free veterinary care, and really go out of their way to keep the surroundings and your pet as quiet and calm and possible, so they don't fear going to the vet. And they've been very understanding and helpful with the financial aspects, since I'm on disability/fixed income. Because we've had a couple of emergencies in the last year, we've seen several of the vets in this practice now and every one of them has been awesome, so I don't have to worry that we won't get a particular vet when we need to go. I drive 45min to go see Dr Nate. The staff is friendly, remembers us humans and all of our pets names. Dr Nate saved our family golden retriever, Buddy, by removing his cancer riddled back leg. When making a decision to either let him live out his days or remove the leg it's hard not to have to think about financial burdens as well. Stanglein made it easy for us to decide with the best pricing we found in the area (and jersey). Buddy has been hopping around cancer free for the past three years! Such a friendly front desk staff, yet very unsatisfied with the services provided. Took our 11 month old puppy to get the typical neuter, as most pet owners do. After the operation, I was told that our dog was never easy and is a hand full. We brought him home the next day with an over abundance of pain medication, but no antibiotics. Staples were used instead of stitches, with no explanation. Now, our dog is currently sitting in an animal hospital suffering. Our poor dog has a bacterial infection, signs of another severe infection and has not ate or drank anything since the pup has been home. With much research and many resources, we came to a conclusion that this operation was not done right, and was simply a waste of money. Yes, our dog is neutered, however the insanely expensive hospitalization of our pup quadruples the amount that was spent for the unsanitary procedure. The doctor we saw tonight looked at the incision and shook their head. I have never seen such a terrible job done on stitching or stapling an incision on a dog. Extremely disappointed and angered with what was suppose to be an "easy" process. Thanks Stanglein. Another customer to STAPLE on your wall of disappointment! read more

Please find another vet! I brought my dog here since he was a young puppy and had nothing but issues with the staff and service at Stanglein Vet Clinic. Not to mention that they have horrible business ethics and treat their clients poorly. In 5 months I had over a dozen appointments at Stanglein, so I speak from experience. First they diagnosed my puppy with conditions that he never had. Then they insisted on doing a surgercial procedure for something that many young pups grow out of and most vets don't even do until 1 year of age. They misdiagnosed my dog with allergies even when I told them I suspected it was something else. They sold me prescriptions that were taken out of their original packaging and put into different bottles. They overuse vaccines and push heart worm preventative year round, which research clearly supports otherwise. Basically, all they care about is getting you to spend money on chemicals that your pets do not need, as well as recommend unnecessary procedures in order to make money. After spending over a thousand dollars at Stanglein, I finally started going to a different vet. Worst of all, After spending all of this money and showing what a dedicated dog owner I was, they could of cared less when my puppy and I encountered an emergency situation. I would however highly recommend VCA animal hospital in Bethlehem. I spent very little money at VCA, but they were the ones who showed compassion when my puppy was in serious trouble. After telling my story to many other pet owners in the Lehigh Valley I was surprised to see how many other people had similar issues with Stanglein. One dog owner that I met at the ER animal hospital had spent thousands of dollars at Stanglein on allergy issues just to find out it was a simple parasite problem that was cured for under 100.00. Another women who owns a pet store said that Stanglein over dosed her dog with anesthesia and then left the building for several hours while her dog was dying. She actually lost her dog and filed a complaint. Please find another vet. read more

I would prefer to give absolutely zero stars but you have to pick at least one... Of course I will not give a good review after my 5 and a half month old puppy Sadie went for a routine spay on Jan. 12, 2016 and two days later, the 14th she is dead! She wasn't even 6 months old yet. She was so important to our family. Why did this have to happen? I guess I will never know because Nate refused to speak with us after her death, His legal team advised him against it. We are the one's who lost our puppy and he has the legal team advising him not to speak to us..hmmmmm. There was ZERO compassion or concern for us, No one said a word to us to comfort us after the tragic lose of our baby. Even when we went to pick up our dogs records, no one said they were sorry no one said anything.I pulled my other dog out of here as well. I would never go to this place ever again! . Google them before going here. there are other bad situations that I came across after losing my baby. I would think twice if you consider Stanglein for your spay and neuter needs. Worst ever! Dr Lucy gave us the wrong diagnosis and told us our baby was going to die in a week if we didn't get the $2000 surgery so we might want to consider putting him down. We went elsewhere to get a second opinion and we were right. She was totally wrong. Our baby is still alive today. Its all about the money with them. When we informed Terry about it, he said he would look into it and get back to us. We never heard back from him. The thing is, 3 years ago, Dr. Lucy again gave us a misdiagnosis and again said we might want to consider putting him down, and yes, he is STILL alive! There was no compassion in her words either. Shame on you Dr. Lucy and Dr. Terry. Sad thing to think how many pets may have been put down when they didn't have to be, due to Dr. Lucys negligence. read more
