However, once inside the pavilion very organized and what a spectacle a lot of brain power, but also very proud. The campus itself is remarkable, and if you haven't gone on it, take a look at one of the best universities in the world.

It closes at 7pm, unless you are GSB students. My heart beats so fast whenever I walked in, feel closer to my dream, this is the dream library in my dream school! The interior decor makes me feel home, I belong to here! My hearts beat faster when I get in, the African American lady cashier was very helpful and polite. Ground and 1st floor are libraries, while 2nd, 3rd and 4th are all study rooms. I'd love to come more often to study, fulfill my dream here

Took a class here recently for Winter 2019 session, and it was interesting to be back in a business…read moreschool environment. We used the smaller rooms that fit at least 36 chairs, or even 15 chairs, etc. The parking lot is right underneath the school, super convenient to walk directly to class. I left the class feeling changed (hopefully for the better), and will continue to work on what I learned and apply it to daily life.

Parking is mostly in nearby streets (along Jane Stanford Way, Memorial Way, Lasuen Street, Museum Way, and Roth Way). I came once on a pre-covid weeknight and once during COVID weekend evening for international/professional dance performances. Standard COVID practices: they are checking vaccine cards and ID at the door. Why the deductions? It seems common for people to be late and the show to start T+20 min. This to me is absolutely horrendous. I haven't been a huge fan of the repertoire that were selected either... I'm a huge dance person but I've yet to stay for the entirety of a production.

What a waste of space, this "alumni" center. I met with more classmates at bars in Menlo Park and Palo Alto. Campus is quite unwelcoming these days, obviously in the wrong hands.

They also offer free personal training sessions! Gym lockers (men and women's separate) have communal showers and plenty of locker space. The first floor has the two main lecture halls for the medical students as well as "med cafe"- see that entry on yelp for the full review of their menu items. The price is pretty much what you'd expect for a stanford on-campus cafe- pricey but useful to have when you're running between classes! There's also a stanford store on the first floor for swag. The second floor and third floor has additional space for classrooms and admin space. The second floor also has Berg hall where medicine grand rounds occurs as well as conferences and the medical student milestone events (part of white coat ceremony and the match day!)

The center is named after its benefactor, Sir Ka-shing Li, a Hong Kong investor, and philanthropist who has a net worth of nearly 40 billion dollars. The Center's mission is to foster " a unique confluence of cutting-edge medicine, modern teaching methods, and advanced technologies that will transform the way physicians and medical researchers are trained " The center which cost over $90 million dollars opened in 2010 and now serves as the headquarters for the School of Medicine As noted, the center is used for teaching, research, and has a large conference hall that can be booked for meeting as events. The lobby contains the Stanford Medical School Book Store as well as a small eatery. The 3 Story structure itself is quite imposing. It features floor to celling glass and a impressive red roof than overhangs the structure all the way to the adjacent discovery walk. The top floor has an outdoor eating area that allows an impressive view of the surround school and hospital. That being said unless you are a student or have business in the building the first floor and the architecture are about it. However it lies right on the Discovery Walk, near the Clark Center and Nexus eatery. In addition, the Hospitals, arboretum, Stanford Tomb, Cantor Art Museum etc are all within easy walking distance. The ground floor is the Center's visible public face and a showcase the Center's work ... but I still need that plug for the laptop and some light otherwise this homework won't get the ROI...
