This company was highly unprofessional. I see they are removing reviews so I hope this one does not get removed as the truth needs to be told. The owner laughed at me when I told her I would review her so I guess that is why. They give great talk until it is time for the work. They seemed nice and professional until I had questions when things were left contaminated and no photos were taken as promised of lost property. Two young guys came out and a woman named Noon? and I had been told they would take photos of everything and they assured me we had no need to take photos that they do all of that which made sense as it was in sewage- grade 3. The owner later denied this the photo promise she denied everything so beware). They had my mom as I am disabled (who is a senior) come in to a contaminated area with no mask or footies ( bio hazard) and the agreement was to place anything questionable on my porch and destroy anything not salvageable. They placed contaminated boxes floating in sewage on my clean safe items that could be saved meaning the non contaminated are now contaminated and even put contaminated boxes and items floating in sewage on my mattress. This is inexcusable and it seems they just did not want to carry it outside: They even threw a trash can floating in my bathroom in the grade 3 sewage - would this not obviously be trash? Threw cardboard boxes that were in sewage in clean area contaminating it as cardboard is porous. Their job was not to make things worse. Anything in question was to be taken outside. The owner Darcy was nothing but nasty when I called as I was inquiring and quite upset about the boys actions resulting in further contamination. I found one of the boys was her son she informed me stating he would never do these things. There was no apology for the issue, she was just defensive replies even accusing a widow and her homeowner daughter that had a sewage leak of having a lot of items. My dad just passed away and my mom is here and they knew this. That is low and we had not yet even scattered his remains much less organized their things from the condo as to what to keep and donate. How cruel. We called asap to get this fixed and this is what we get. Secondly, I was given misinformation being told by a young guy to throw out things and Noon saying to keep items and just wipe off with clorox wipe - these had been in sewage. Which is it? They all told that dry cleaning items had to be thrown away because we would have to disclose the sewage issue to them and then they would not clean it. I had some expensive jackets lost. We then found many things we had been advised to throw away could have been saved and a professional cleaner could clean them and of course no photos of thousands of dollars of loss as they only took photos of the floor but on the phone told me I did not have to photograph anything which I though was for safety. They have no project manager on site and were working chaotically and they did not seem to know what really needed to be kept/saved and they just contaminated more of the home. Stanford Restoration completed work on our home for water damage. In the beginning they were timely in tearing the wall apart and drying it out. Once we decided to go through insurance and they had a portion of the money everything went downhill. There was a lack of communication. They showed up without telling us they were coming, then wouldn't come for weeks at a times. The work took almost A YEAR to replace a small portion of 2 walls. They were unprofessional and completed sloppy work. They were satisfied to complete subpar work until we insisted it was completed correctly on many portions of the project. They were to repair stonework on a planter box. The stone was lined up incorrectly and haphazardly. They corrected it only after we insisted. They had another company complete the stucco work. We told them that it was significantly cracked at the top where it met the old stucco, but they did not correct it or even call the stucco company. Not long after, we had water damage once again and the entire wall needed to be completed all over again, extending the project once again. The stucco pattern did not even come close to matching our existing pattern the first time. It was closer after the stucco was redone. They shot a nail from a nail gun into our TV and broke the screen. They hit a water pipe in our living room and flooded the living room. They left cigarette butts in our lawn. They were uncooperative with the insurance company in providing the necessary paperwork. We later found out that they did not address all of the water damage and we had to hire another contractor to complete the other portion of the work without insurance. The other contractor completed about 1/2 of the amount of work in less than 1 week when it took Stanford a year to complete what they did. The owner was very rude to my wife and myself. He often ignored our calls and would not call back. He said to me "you expect perfection". We expected the work to be done correctly. I would not recommend Stanford Restoration to anyone. read more

These guys really saved my bacon! Last Spring I had a condensation line that was leaking into the house. They came the same day they were called and immediately went to work. The foreman was awesome, although I was disappointed to hear he's left the company. I would have given them 5 stars, but the crew had to be pushed a bit to remediate the site. They didn't want to pull down soaking wet wood and thought it would dry in place... I had to insist to pull down the wood, and go further with exposing damage (but they did it). They also couldn't rebuild the project which would have been a major issue if my builder hadn't stepped in. Lastly there was a delay with the insurance company and they threatened to put a lein on my house - which I can understand because the insurance company had made them wait for their money... but it was a little tense. Darcy was great to work with and they did a great job, so I would hire them again and am very pleased with the outcome! read more

I hired Stanford Restoration to clean the grout and tile in my home. One of the workers dropped something heavy on my bathtub and chipped the porcelain finish. They said they would send someone to repair it. Two young Estonian men showed up and I tried to explain to them that there was a bit of cat litter in the tub that needed to be cleaned out. I only wanted the chip repaired not the whole tub. Well communication was not optimal and they said they would take care of cleaning out the tub and that they had to refinish it. This was a particular kind of cat litter that is fine like sugar. They were only here for about an hour but they used toxic chemicals to remove the porcelain finish on the whole tub and repainted it. Due to the very fine litter the finish came out poorly so they then sent the Owner of the refinishing company to repair it. He came 3-4 times and worked hard on it. I am not happy. All I needed was a chip repaired. I did not want the tub repainted. The tub looks fine now but is not as good as the original finish and I do not know how long it will last. Darcy the owner and her husband came out to see the tub and I told them I wanted it replaced. They were rude and said not a chance of that. read more

Please contact me for details and pictures of the work this company does. They do not even deserve one star. I am in the process now of having to redo absolutely EVERYTHING they did after a water leak. Replace the kitchen cabinets they installed and even all the tile. They did a terrible job on the time once, ripped it out and then did a worse job. They packed and stored my contents which are for the most part still MIA. They did more damage in my condo than it got because of the water problem. You do NOT want to hire these guys. They sweet talk ya and once you sign their contract you're screwed! Small job started May 18,2018. Finished today August 17, 2018. You do the math. Downstairs of small condo needed some plumbing, kitchen cabinets, sink, faucet, counter top, dish washer, paint, some sheet rock and area needing to be dried cause a pipe broken leading to the whole issue. Let me say right here and now the people who show up to work are great, namely David {who should be their project manager} and Lisa. Both good people who do great work. Also Mike who showed up did a good job also. The problem is that is all they have and they are shifted around from job to job, and you may not have anyone at your location for a week! And here's the sad part, the boss Chuck knows it and cops an attitude when you call to ask whats going on, how funny is that? And instead of just being honest saying they are short handed bla bla bla they get pissed that you are complaining. And Rick the project manager who honestly spent a total of 20 mins in 3 months at our condo has zero clue. He is always trying to fast talk and get out like he's needed at some 60 story sky scrapper. Darcy fine no problem she does her job. Summary: Not about bashing anyone but they clearly need to re-evaluate how much work they take on, how they treat and use their workers and most importantly how they treat their customers.
