Vignettes is super cryptic. This is the truth. They don't have a website, are not on social media…read more(to my knowledge) and are generally hard to find out about. So, alas, Yelp world, let me help you discover Vignettes. Located in downtown Hudson, Vignettes is a seriously beautiful store. This gorgeously curated shop is a perfect place to pick up any type of gift: engagement, bridal, baby, birthday, or hostess. Its so hard to describe their items. When you first enter, there's beautiful art amongst elegant tablewares and entertaining pieces. It flows into candles and aromatherapy, then into holiday decor. Then it turns into beautiful jewelry, elegant baby items and high-end women's clothing. They also have some of the most gorgeous cashmere, cape, poncho and scarf selections i've seen in the suburbs. Don't underestimate this shop for some of the nicest high-end clothes in the area! I believe they also do monogramming on many of their products. They had a few examples on the shelves which looked super interesting. I'm only giving Vignettes 4-stars because I have yet to make a purchase. The items are high-end, so when I make my next purchase, you can expect an update! The monogramming may be in my near future!

I have purchased wedding gifts for friends here as well as holiday gifts for at least one person in my family every Christmas! The ladies who work here are so friendly and helpful. They can answer any questions I have or help me find what I am looking for and they are so gracious.

Walked in to the nice smell of candle and saw shelves of jewelry right in front of me past an old rustic table. I'm home! I spent an hour going through all the rooms and chatting it up with the friendly clerk, came out with some treasures. In summary: this is my new favorite vintage store in Cleveland! It's a former florist where they grew all their own flowers so the building is big and has a country and shabby chic appeal. The style in here is an interesting mix of cool retro vintage, shabby country, and newer things that go with having a cool lifestyle. Their handmade soaps are the cheapest prices i've seen around town. I love that so much recycled and repurposed things are here: it's not just a place for gifts (for yourself or others), but i'm finding practical things too (I've been here three times total since I first walked in this January). It's the kind of place where you'll see a shelf of interesting old and weird books next to brand new quirky cookbooks, a rack of nice jewelry calling out at you, then around the corner there's some amazing old stoves and shelves of retro kitchen stuff and 60's barware, and before you know it you're planning to redo your living room with mid-century decor and cool painted furniture while you stock up on great rock records. There's things i'm not into but I can see the appeal like old architectural pieces and farm antiquey things and retro kid's stuff. In all, it's like a big general store but for cool stuff. It's new so no reviews on Yelp yet. That's a first for me. Guess I discovered this place at just the right time!

Fair trade ensures makers are given quality wages for their work. Everything is handmade, locally produced and profits go directly into the hands of low-income people (especially women). So, in short, when you buy something fair trade, you are literally helping someone put food on the table and achieve economic independence. This store is unbelievable. Where it shines, for me personally, is clothing and accessories. I bought the most gorgeous, hand-dyed swing coat made by a women's collective in Thailand. I love that Fair Trade on Main carries size diverse garments - so think the most beautiful scarves, dresses, pants and tunics you've ever seen and in a wide array of sizes. I also purchased a pair of leather tassel earrings from Bali that are stunning. The owner is so impressive - I *think* she said she features over 30+ countries and she can remember instantly where every piece is from. I am smitten. I could've spent 20 hours and all my money in this store. Every nook and cranny is thoughtfully curated with everything from home decor to accessories and baby clothes. Just come in with no goal in mind and leave with a unique handmade treasure for yourself or a gift. You can feel good about your purchase. You gave someone opportunity and have an item with a beautiful story that's made with love. The hidden gem of Hudson, IMO.

The stock selection is great with items at a variety of price points and for just about everyone on your list. The shopowner and clerks were very helpful and could tell you where each item was made and often about the maker. Definitely made me want to buy more! I ended up with chocolate and present for a former NOLA yelper that I just had to buy. My aunt and Mom found beacoup Christmas presents too. I would love someone to open a similar shop in NOLA.
