I like this place so much I bought merch. They have so much space and I love sitting outside and not smelling disgusting city smells/feeling cramped for space. I only ever get their rosé saison and I think I'll probably get a growler to bring home next time. It's the perfect blend of being an effervescent rosé and I say this is someone who dislikes beer but sometimes finds wine abv is too much. read more

Really cool spot. Has indoor and outdoor seating for a nice day and a few TVs to watch games. Staff is super nice and they keep long lines moving quick. Only downside is 1) they don't serve food at all. Sometimes they have a little pop up but it's very limited. They sell chips but it would be great if they sold some more snacks or minimal small plates. Lots of drinking beer + no food can be tough! But, they do allow outside food to be brought in which is nice. Mostly we just have some pizzas delivered. 2) the audio in the room is pretty bad. The TV speakers are so high up it just echos throughout the entire room and you can't hear a word, especially during a popular game. They should bring the speakers down do about 10feet so we can hear the sports broadcast. read more

I love Standard Deviant in the Mission and this was my first time at their Dogpatch location. It's very large and cavernous. Staff is amazing. They make it feel homey and welcoming! There's a lot of TVs and I love the Bay Area/SF sports jerseys, including the Valkyries and SF City FC. They also had the Valkyries schedule posted on a wall by the bathroom and a take a friend for free voucher to a SF City FC game! Feels local. I loved the cider I tried. The photo booth looks fun. Great vibes inside and outside on the patio. It's accessible on Muni Metro, bike, and foot too. read more

This place is a must, must, must! It's basically the coolest brewery in Potrero Hill. There's $3.00 hot dogs. There's a big selection of tasty brews as well as some non alcoholic beverages. There's nearby yummy pizza you can eat inside. They have a mystery vending machine to buy impulsive items for all ages. There's lots of seating both in and out. Very fun energy with great service. And as far as kids, yes there were kids and it looked like a kids' party with pizza. It wasn't that big of a deal for a Sunday afternoon. read more

The location is so perfect, great views and tons of street parking. It was so packed inside and outside we were lucky to find a seat! This place is kid friendly & many families were here with their kiddos. They had a food pop up outside & a Photo Booth inside (out of order at the time) The decor inside was so cute I loved it. We came to try their NA beers and it did not disappoint so glad they had NA options. Can't wait to be back next time in in SF read more

TL;DR: pleasant location, reasonable prices, big selection of beers, cider and wine I've never been to Standard Deviant in the mission but when they opened this new location in Dogpatch, and we were in the area, we kinda had to pop in. It's at Pier 70, and right next to Breadbelly, and down the street from RH and other establishments in the Dogpatch. I like the indoor/outdoor industrial concept they have going on and there's quite a bit of seating. I do wonder what they will do when the weather cools down come winter. The best part is the availability of plenty of (very clean) bathrooms not only in the brewery, but also in the building. Service is efficient and friendly, you order at the counter and bring your drinks back to your seats. It can get a little busy, but I've been able to get seats easily both times I've been there. Drinks are reasonably priced, and they offer a variety of size and tasting portions. They also have a plentiful selection of at least 10 things, including cider and wine for non-beer drinkers like myself. There's a taco stand outside that also offers chips and salsa, but I didn't try it. I liked the cider I got and it was very refreshing. They have a water station as well so you can stay extra hydrated. My only observation was that because they allow dogs, there was a lot of dog hair floating around the outdoor area. If you're sensitive to dog hair, you might want to sit inside instead. read more

I love me a good brew, and this place has them! super cozy/summer vibes inside and out where the name Dogpatch is really understood. I swear in the hour I was here I saw more dogs than people. I already thought $8 for a beer was not too bad, but seeing I could get 3/8ounce beers for $14? you had me at beer. such a great price point, ESPECIALLY in this area. I mean it was the perfect lil spot before the Valkyries game (walkable from Chase Center). I just wish they had more food options (there is a taqueria truck parked outside, and a small plaza in the connecting building, but that forced me to drink my beers a lil too fast) I'll be back very soon! read more

Great spot. Great beer and food usually great to. Very good tap room with a nice variety.

Love this addition to the neighborhood/Pier 70! The taproom looks out to the back so there's a huge patio space and indoor/outdoor feel. There's a lot of seating so it's a great place to stop after a run or workout at Bay Padel. They offer all of their standard beers as well as a bunch of stuff on Nitro. They sometimes have pop-ups for food or you can go next door to the new BreadBelly Bakery and really carb out. I love the openness and design of the space. You can also see the brewing system behind the bar. Service is quick and efficient. It's a very fun space to be in - especially on a nice day! read more

You realize how long it's been since you lived in SF when you visit Potrero Hill and don't recognize anything. The neighborhood has completely changed especially with the addition of the Warriors. One great aspect is the introduction of new neighborhood haunts such as Standard Deviant which has strong NY brewery vibes with the mellow SF chill. Definitely recommend stopping by and grabbing a pint or two especially of the nitro bourbon oatmeal stout! read more

Came here for dinner one night and there was a popup with burgers which was not too busy. Good: - Quiet and chill ambiance - The prices are good, relatively cheap - The place is very large so lots of places to sit with a larger group Bad: - A bit ghost town-like and dead on a Saturday night - The food was okay,, wait time was longer than expected Overall it was nice to check this out after being in the area for a while. read more

The service here is terrible. Way worse than their original location in the mission. The bartenders are super rude and there are screaming children everywhere. I wouldn't mind the children if the beer, the service and the vibes are good but unfortunately neither of those are true. read more

I don't really go for the food, but the food served is usually good food. The service is really good and friendly. The ambiance is fun, I have noticed breweries have become a place where folks bring their kids and kudos to the parents who enjoy themselves while making sure their children behave/have fun. So be prepared for kids and some dogs. The beer is really good and the view is amazing. Definitely recommend read more

Great dog friendly space for a pitcher of beer. Inside are long tables perfect for sharing. Keep up with the game on several large screens around the venue too. There are enough beer choices to meet any expectation. They rely on vendors and food trucks for the food and you won't be disappointed by the selections. Really well thought out space, friendly people, and you will have a good time. read more

Checked out Standard Deviant Brewing - a good spot for drinks with friends. They've got Viking tables too, so you can even make reservations for special occasions. Chill vibe and fun for a group hang. read more

Great brews. Nice location. Pop-up pizza hits the spot with an IPA. Fantastic variety for a stand alone brewery.

Recently opened brewery in Dogpatch with seating inside and outside the venue! It was pretty packed on a Friday night and open quite late! They serve beer, cider and wine so even for a non-beer drinker like me, there are still options. The prices are also pretty reasonable. read more

Amazing beers, amazing people, amazing views and location, amazing service. Amazing!

So. Many. children. The first time I went, I thought seeing a kid have their diaper changed on a brewery bench was one bad Apple. The second time, I didn't even order a drink before leaving, because children were just running around literally having a screaming contest while parents, patrons, and staff acted like it wasn't sublimely annoying. read more

Food: good beer - had the West Coast IPA which was pretty good! Def more traditional beer. Cool option for food with street tacos stand on a Friday. Had some chips and guacamole with beers! Service: no frills! Standard brewery Ambiance: ample seating indoor and outdoor. A little stuffy inside even though it was pretty cool outside. There was a shuffle board table and a Photo Booth (for $5). read more

Came here on opening week and it was great. Standard deviant is a great addition to pier 70 and I'm excited for more things to open so I can get drunk off the horchata cream ale before visiting them. The only thing this place needs is more outdoor seating and it'll be a hot spot for the summer. read more

A Hidden Gem in the Dogpatch! Deviant Brewery is exactly what the Dogpatch needed -- a bold, welcoming space with serious beer cred and a chill, no-frills vibe. Every brew I tried was thoughtfully crafted and full of character, from the juicy Pilsners to the rich, smooth stouts. You can tell the team here loves what they do. The taproom strikes the perfect balance between industrial cool and laid-back comfort, with plenty of space to gather with friends or post up solo. Staff were incredibly friendly and happy to nerd out about the beers or offer a great rec. Amazing to see Mark doing his thing again! Bonus points for the rotating food pop-ups and the dog-friendly policy -- Archy gave it two paws up and our brand new 9month old Sienna also approved! Whether you're a local or just beer-hopping through SF, make sure this place is on your list. Deviant Brewery is doing it right. read more

Standard Deviant's new Pier 70 taproom is an absolute gem, a spacious, dog-friendly venue with incredible craft beers and pop-up food vendors serving everything from tacos to sandwiches. The friendly staff will help you find your perfect brew while you relax in the industrial-chic atmosphere. Plus, nearby parking is surprisingly easy! This is what a neighborhood taproom should be. Highly recommended. read more

I've come here a few times during the week and decided to host a Friendsgiving potluck on a Saturday night. Mark, Peter, and the team were all very nice and accommodating and service was great! A beer with a side of getting kicked in the back by a toddler. Repeatedly. This place is a daycare that doubles as a taproom. It was 8pm on a Friday and kids were running WILD. No parent or staff cared one bit. If you like Chuck E. Cheese look no further, the Dogpatch has one! read more

Good vibes, good beer. Good variety of beers on tap, and they let you sample before deciding. There is plentiful metered street parking in the immediate area, but it is weirdly expensive ($12/h) for a meter and being mostly empty. read more

Seating overtaken with poorly behaved parents who brought their children and dogs. Reserved tables never taken. Asked if their was an expiration on reservations - Bartenders seemed despondent and exhausted "sit there if you want but if they show up they get the table".
