I was…read morecalled back a few days later and told that the dentist wouldn't be there at the time I had scheduled and that they still needed my insurance information. I explained that I had already sent it (she found it) and then we rescheduled. It felt unorganized but I let it go. At my first appointment I was told that all my old silver fillings had cracked my teeth and that I needed 6 crowns. I was not in pain, but they assured me this work needed to be done. I came in a month later for the first 2 crowns and after 7 shots administered by two different dentists, my nerve was not deadened so the work could not be done. We rescheduled to try again in 6 weeks. I ended up with a deeply bruised and swollen jaw line. That is not why I am not happy. Things like that can happen. The tooth that they had tried to work on continuously felt worse until after a few weeks I called because I was in excruciating pain. I spoke with someone who told me the doctor would call me. I never received a call - not from the dentist or even a return call from the person I spoke with. After waiting a couple days, I called around and found a different dentist who got me in the next day and smoothed out the points that had been left on my tooth that were causing the problem. He said I only need that one tooth crowned because it was causing me pain. No other work was needed. He administered two shots and did the work pain free. I called Walker Dental to cancel my upcoming appointment and to have my records transferred to this new dentist. The person never asked me why I was leaving or if there was anything they could do to keep me as a patient. I finally said "if the doctor cares why I'm leaving, she is welcome to call me." I have never heard from anyone. Having a problem in the chair would not have kept me from coming back, but a lack of responsiveness and of caring about my pain did. They need to concentrate more on patient care and less on making money off needless work.

I personally have had lots of anxiety with the switch and additional dental work needed, but they have been wonderful throughout the process. Everyone in the office is kind and extremely helpful.
